Game For Love (Bad Boys of Football, #3) Reviews

I don't think I am going to be able to finish this one.
Started out on the first chapter, things seemed to be going well with a sweet grandmother and Cole, the handsome and virile as sin football star. And suddenly lo and behold his c#ck had to make an appearance with the first sighting of the heroine, aka the good girl Anna whose 4 sisters have already got married.
I am all for smut, erotic and explicit sex but in a full length novel such as this one, it just totally seemed unrealistic to make Cole's preference to have a woman under him every time he gets back home and all that descriptive references to his c#ck just made it a blech! read for me.
So am venturing into something that would give me a good romance, something I can sink into, something that would deliver good sexual tension before delving into the real thing.
Even though this may not be my cup of tea, it might just be yours.
Don't think I would be attempting to read anything by Bella Andre anytime soon though. This is my second attempt to read a title of hers, my first being Take Me which I couldn't relate to as well because of all the sex scenes which started from the very first page itself with characters I couldn't relate to. -
I'm pretty pleased with this one, especially since it was only 99 cents (edit--price has now increased to $2.99:()! I wasn't expecting much from this short story, but Bella Andre managed to adequately develop the characters and the story, as well as supplying plenty of mouth-watering-ly hot bedroom scenes.
Cole Taylor's a 34-year-old star linebacker for the NFL San Francisco Outlaws. After losing both his parents at the age of 5, his beloved grandmother Eugenia stepped in to raise him. Now Eugenia's seriously ill in a Las Vegas hospital, and her dying wish is for Cole to have found true love with a 'good' woman. Cole would do anything for grandma, and vows to make her dying wish come true. To ease her mind, he tells her that he's already found 'the one'--and now he has to present her to grandma. But Cole doesn't know any 'good' women, and doesn't know how to go about finding one. In his experience, women aren't interested in Cole the man--they just want what they can get from him. Now where is Cole going to find this woman and present her to grandma before he has to head back to San Fran to play in the next Outlaw's game? He looks in the library, an animal shelter, a knitting store...the usual places where you'd find a 'good' girl, but no luck. Might as well check out the Tryst nightclub at the Wynn Las Vegas...
Cole...
Anna Davis is a 29-year-old petite, pretty, brunette first-grade teacher, and the only unmarried sister in her family (all 4 of her sisters are married). Anna's a good girl, doesn't do anything crazy or risky, and her family knows it. Anna is getting tired of seeing her sisters paired-up and happy and living life, while she’s all alone on the sidelines. After her sister’s Las Vegas wedding reception, she decides it’s time to stop being thought of as gutless and boring by her family, and do something about it. She’s going dancing at the Tryst, and she’s going to find the most dangerously sexy man to dance with.! But after a few minutes experiencing the nightclub , Anna knows she’s way beyond her comfort zone, and wants to leave. Until a low, rough voice says to her “I noticed your glass was empty. I hope champagne is okay.”
So this is how Cole and Anna meet. It’s lust at first sight for Cole--he thinks he’s found the good girl he’s looking for, and she’s darn easy on the eye to boot! As an added bonus, she has no clue who he is. Anna looks doubtful, not believing that a hulking hunk like Cole could be interested in someone like her. Looks like Cole is going to have to work to convince this innocent beauty to go along with what he has planned.
A few hours later, after some small talk and some smoldering kisses that drive them both crazy with desire, Cole convinces Anna to ditch her ‘halo' and do something crazy--like marrying him. Even though Carrie Underwood’s song “Last Name” (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f27zNl...) is running through her mind, Anna decides to go for it. She’s going to do something wild and unpredictable for once in her life. Will she end up regretting it as the biggest mistake in her life or will this be the best thing that ever happened to her?
Well as you can guess, this story starts out with plenty of heat, as Cole keeps Anna pretty occupied in the bedroom (and elsewhere) with some darn hot sex. And just as you wonder if these two will ever make it out of the bedroom, the story starts to take off as Anna discovers Cole's original intentions. Things get very interesting as both Anna and Cole try to protect their hearts and keep their relationship only about sex. They have to find a way to deal with the media, who are very interested in playboy Cole's sudden marriage, tell a few white lies to Anna's family and friends, and somehow keep themselves from falling in love with each other. Just when it looks like things might work out between Cole and Anna, Cole does something to betray her trust, just as he's realizing his real feelings for her.
I really liked this one, and had a hard time putting it down. I thought Bella Andre did a good job describing Cole and Anna, giving enough detail about their backgrounds and relating their POVs. I enjoyed seeing Cole fight his feelings for Anna (nothing like a hero kicking and screaming trying to deny he's in love and then finally realizing it when it might be too late). I liked Anna too. I liked seeing her come alive and gain some confidence in her sexuality (it helped to have a teacher like Cole). I liked that she didn't let Cole boss her around and told him off a time or two. I felt she was a strong heroine and a good match for the alpha Cole. Their love scenes were of course extremely hot, as well as believable. I know these two barely knew each other but I thought they had a great connection so I was willing to believe that they would make it in the long run. The ending of the story was a bit predictable and hokey, but it wasn't enough to mar the story. I thought this was a good overall effort for the third story in the Bad Boys of Football series, and I'm hoping there will be more to come. If you like an erotic sports romance, you don't want to miss this one. 4 1/2 stars -
Very disappointing read because it could have been good and I love sports romances. I liked the characters, Cole and Anna (at least when they were having dialog), the story had potential (but it did have some cheesy parts), the sex scenes were hot (especially the first one where he taught her with blindfolds and silk ties) and the grovel scenes weren’t bad (and there were many of them).
The problem…SEX, and way too much of it. After one long and detailed romp, they would go right into another. I skimmed or skipped them by the end. It seemed like anytime there was a conflict Anna was dropping to her knees or Cole was tearing off her underwear- got old and expensive after awhile. Lots of times my reason of why I give a favorite book a lower rating is that is was too clean, (Lorraine Heath’s Texas trilogy comes to mind) well wholly cow, this, Game for Love, was not what I was asking for! Maybe if I had read this 3 years ago like her other two of the series, which I rated high, I would have loved it, but I have just seen such talent and balance with other books and authors since then that Game for Love dropped many levels.
I thought the premise of the story had promise. Cole is a fierce linebacker in the NFL and he is a player with the ladies. His grandmother wants and wishes for him to find love and a good girl. On his grandmother's death bed Cole lies and tells her he has found the perfect girl so his mad search begins and of all places in the middle of Las Vegas, not known for its depth in good girls. He sees Anna at a club, she sticks out like a sore thumb, but he is stunned by her beauty and Cole sees the halo above her head. Anna has the opposite problem of Cole, she is innocent, inexperience (but she caught on real quickly) and isn't brave in her eyes because she always plays it safe. So she jumps and they make a wild decision to marry. Cole doesn't own up to Anna and his reason for the marriage until he brings her to see his grandma and begs her to lie. She does and justifies it by how touched she is in seeing Cole and his grandma's loving relationship. So they plan to stay together and live the lie, Anna gets a wild ride and Cole gets a look at normal. If you want lots of sex with a decent story this book could be for you, it wasn't for me.

This is smut pure and simple, but it's good, one male/one female, contemporary-romance smut. :P
Cole Taylor loves his terminally ill grandmother. And when she makes a dying wish of seeing him married and settled with a good girl- unlike the slutty types he usually frequents- he's determined to make it happen, if only for the short time she has to live.
Attacking his dilemma with the same single-mindedness it took to make him a star defensive lineman for the Outlaw's football team- he sets out to find himself a decent girl, even though the likelihood of finding one in Vegas is not very high.
Anna Davis is the type of woman most men overlook when on the prowl, so imagine her surprise when a superstud spots her from across a crowded vegas nightclub and approaches her. Cole is surprised as well- not that he singled her out, she's perfect for his needs- but that he's actually feeling an attraction toward her.
On a whim, Anna decides its time to do something a little crazy- scratch that ALOT crazy- but it will it prove to be the best thing she's ever done? Only time- and a heap of trust- will tell!
Saw one of my GR friends here enjoyed this one- sorry cant remember who it was- and when I read the synop couldnt resist- what can I say, I'm a sucker for an ungettable hottie falling for the polar opposite.
I havent read the first two in the series and frankly didnt need to. But I may go back now and check them out! Yeah, it's cheesy unrealistic claptrap- but it sure is hot. Recommend it if you're in the mood for a tasty candy read! -

Cole is a star defensive back for a pro football team. He was raised by his grandmother, whom he adores. When she is diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, she tells him all she ever wanted for him was to find a girl to settle down with. Cole knows that the slutty girls that he sleeps with due to his fame are not really what his grandmother is wanting for him. So he heads out to find a “nice girl.”
Enter Anna. She’s always been the one afraid to take risks, careful, and deliberate. She’s a school teacher. Aha! Perfect! Cole doesn’t expect his intense attraction to her, but views it as a serious plus. When he propositions, and then proposes to Anna basically on the spot, she agrees, because she’s never been this intensely attracted to someone either.
Cole came across as quite the man-whore - by his own thoughts, but his redeeming quality was that he was really a very nice guy who simply wanted to make the woman who raised him and who he loved more than life itself happy. Hard not to like that.
OK. Here’s where my problems began. After their quickie wedding, they head back to San Francisco, where miraculously, they both live. Their first time together, instead of taking it slow and nice, Cole decides to tie Anna up. Initially, her bravado and desire to prove she’s not afraid to take chances has her giving in. Then as the progress, she starts to have second thoughts; in fact says no and asks him to stop several times. But no. He knows what she wants. And she wants it. Wants to be tied up.
As I read, I highlighted this passage (and these are the actual notes I took as I was reading it):
"Anna's reserve went so deep that if he gave her any chance to protest, to try and fight what her body so desperately wanted, she’d use it." This struck me as incredibly coercive. She had obviously never done anything like this, so why did he insist on it for their first time?
Later in the scene: "Cole," she begged, "please untie me." And he doesn't. Because he just knows that’s not really what she wants. "You're being so brave, sweetheart." OK, just ick. It's one thing if they had established a safe word, but they hadn’t. Again, I felt like this was coercion.
"But he’d known she couldn’t, that she didn’t have the words, the sexual experience to play the kind of games he probably played every single night with beautiful women."
Iyou're way out of her league sexually, then you let her go when she asks, or begs, asshole.
Bear in mind, this is all in their first sexual encounter – before they’ve even had sex even once - and they had just met. He married her because she was a "good girl." And of course, Cole was right. She just needed him to push her. To tell her what she really wanted.
Perhaps I’m overly sensitive in this time right now, when so many are trying to redefine what rape is and isn’t, so "gee, she really wants it", but this whole scene left me with a very bad taste in my mouth. I wouldn’t go so far as to call it rape, because I honestly believed that if she got really really freaked out and started screaming, he would have stopped, but it was certainly coercive. She struggled, she said no, she "begged". And he still carried on, certain that he know what she wanted more than she did.
So from there, they have a getting to know you period, they get close, and Cole comes off as a really nice guy. Yes, he has a wild sexual appetite, but he’s just so nice and sweet out of bed. He just likes to tie his women up in bed, and get a little kinky. Nothing wrong with that when it's completely 100% consensual.
Enter the next problem that I had, and this is something that should have been caught in editing (this is a self-published book. I’m just making the assumption that it was professionally edited, because Andre is a multi-published author through several houses, and a complete professional). Cole’s word for Anna is "sweet". Everything about her is sweet. She has sweet lips, she carries on sweet conversation, has a sweet ass, she was so sweet. A thesaurus would have been a great asset here.
And then we have the great misunderstanding that I thought wasn’t such a great secret. Anna finds out Cole only married her to make his grandmother happy. I thought he had been pretty up front about it, and thought her reaction was a bit over the top.
And at the very end, Cole’s grandmother miraculously recovers from stage 4 cancer.
This book pushed a lot of buttons for me, but I do truly like Andre’s voice, and I’ve enjoyed many of her books. I think this one just wasn’t in the cards for me. I will still continue to read Andre, though, because I think she has a lot of talent and oh, how well she writes hot men. This just wasn’t a good fit for me. -
4.5 Stars
I love Bella Andre. There are thousands of fabulous authors out there but Bella's stories fit my wants and needs in a romance novel down to the finest details.
Game for Love was an easy, easy read. No major drama, just light, romantic and sexy as hell. I thoroughly enjoyed it. And when I say sexy I mean SEXY. There was a lot more sex than I expected, but it was perfect, there wasn't too much, wasn't too little.
Bella Andre is the queen of balance.
Can't wait to read more of this series - if the prices ever become in line with those of the US. I refuse to pay more for an ebook just because I live in Australia. Unfortunately, I think this means I won't be reading the for a while. -
Blah. I just wasn't into this book. There are a lot better sports romances out there, and this one was just ... bland.
-
3.5 stars.
Holy cow there was a lot of sexytimes in this book. Totally filled with it. Sometimes Cole annoyed me, but I did want Cole and Anna to be together. Full review soon. -
herding cats & burning soup
I'm really not sure how this one ended up on my Nook but I'm glad it did! Andre's writing has a great flow and is really so captivating. One of my favorite storylines is the "fake mates/couple" that end up falling for each other. For some reason I just love that one and, turned out, I really loved Cole and Anna as well. The innocent school teacher taking a stand and the playboy footballer fulfilling his gram's dying wish to see him happily married by doing something crazy...like getting married mere hours after meeting...
Now, talk about a hot steamy read! I don't think anyone has ever had quite so much sex in the history of sex as Anna and Cole. Holy cow. These two went at it like bunnies. Now, the sex scenes were very well written. They're hot and steamy, emotionally charged and down right sexy but geezaloo there's an abundance of them in this 180 page story. I'm surprised either of them could actually walk after we hit about the halfway mark.
I ended up really falling for these two and for very different reasons. Cole managed to screw up more than once but I was an absolute puddle over him and his grandmother. Here's this HUGE hulking footballer and he's completely smitten with his tiny little grandmom who is ill. Doesn't want to disappoint her, lets her tell him what's what and frets over her. It was just so sweet and heart breaking watching the two together and seeing how emotional it made him.
And Anna. I really felt for her too. She's "sweet" (yeah that word got used in abundance as well) and rather sheltered and damn tired of everyone treating her like she's safe and boring. I really enjoyed watching her break free of that and exploring not just her sexuality but life in general. Getting bolder and not doing what everyone else expected of her.
Some of the storyline was a little predictable and I will say I had a bit of an issue with the emphasis on how much sex Cole had with women prior to Anna. I guess I just like living in my little bubble and not knowing about my hero's man-whorish past, ya know? But putting those two things aside I really enjoyed Cole and Anna's story and will be going back now to pick up the first two in the series.
So, who would I recommend this one for? Anyone who enjoys a good romance with a LOT of sheet time added in to the mix. -

What I liked about the novel.....
I thought this was a good love story of Anna Davis and Cole Taylor and you will find once you start reading it you will not want to put it down until the end. The main part of this storyline was of Cole's who was a football player's dying grandmother wanting to see him married and settled down with a 'good girl.' How was Cole to make that happen when he date everything but 'good girls'? For Anna who had been in Vegas for his sister's wedding seemed to the odd girl in the family...being boring as oh yes very predicable. What will she do to break out of this shell that she seems to be in? Well she meets Cole and this is where this story take off. Is this the 'good girl' that Cole needs to help him pull of this situation for his grandmother? What will happen as Anna finds out more about Cole as they will be united in Holy Matrimony? Will this marriage last since it looks like this is a marriage of convenience? There will be a lots going on in this read for these two as they bring in their family and friends into their situation. You will just have to pick up this good read to see for yourself how this author will bring out "Game For Love" to the readers. It will a very interesting read seeing how these two will break down their walls with each other. I found the read a sweet , humorous read and also I do not want to fail to mention the hot steamy sex scenes that seem to explode off the pages.
Would I recommend? Yes, this is another one of this author's good love stories! -
1.5 Stars
Summary in English:
After I finished "Game for Love" I was a "little" disappointed, because I expected more than just hot sex with nearly no story. For me romance is more important than pleasure or hot sexscenes and that's the reason why "Game for Love" was not the kind of story I normally like or read. The love scenes were hot, no question, but boring. It was always the same: both tear the clothes from their bodies and do it hot and hard. *yawn*
In addition to that I missed an interesting or fasciniating story, because most of the novel was about sex: Either they do it oder at least one of them thinks about doing it, which really annoyed me after some time. And who is so stupid to marry a stranger? I mean, she wasn't that drunk! He could have been a murderer, psychopath, rapist or a swindler! The whole story was so stupid and boring: "shy wallflower meets the sexy as hell football-player, who finds her so attractive, that his hard co*k is nearly ripping his zipper apart"? Very realistic and so uncommon in a romance novel! -.- What really got on my nerves was that he always called her "sweet", "beautiful" and "good" Anna. After "Game for Love" I don't want to hear these three adjectives anymore. It was ridiculous!
I gave "Game for Love" two stars, because the story could have been worse. ;)
German Review:
Fazit:
Wer prickelnde Erotik will, sollte lieber zu anderen Romanen greifen und wer Romantik will ebenfalls.

3 stars is way to much, but I need to acknowledge the unbelievably factor of this book is out of charts and because it made me laugh , even knowing it's ficction, at the so unreal plot here and the soap opera drama alike, I need to give 3 for imagination, to create such fantasy.
-
Loved. Loved it from the first chapter to the end and hope like crazy there's more coming in this fantastic series.
-
Not bad. A bit unbelievable on the heroine's side, I get sleeping with the hero but marrying him? Nahh. Fun fluff read.
-
Anna Davis is tired of being known as a good girl. She wants to live life. So when her sister gets married in Las Vegas, she decides she isn't going back to the room after the reception. She goes out to a nightclub with her other sisters and their husbands in tow to show she can live life. When a chance glance across the room brings a handsome hunk of a man to her, she grabs him and won't let go thinking it is finally time to live and he is the one she wants to live it with.
Cole Travis is used to fighting for what he wants. Driven to be the best on the Outlaws defensive line, he gets paid the big bucks to stop the other team from scoring. But when his grandmother finds out she has cancer, Cole can't win this battle for her. Her last wish is to see him settled with a good girl and a family to go along. Lying, Cole invents a mystery woman who is the love of his life. Now he has to produce that girl for his grandmother to meet. Hunting the strip of Vegas isn't bringing an answer to his prayers until he sees Anna across the room and her "mythical" halo of good girliness.
Drawn to each other and hypnotized by what they feel, the two get a quickie marriage, an incredibly sexy wedding night and a huge amount of trouble explaining where they met, how long they dated and the PR that comes with being a football star.
Now I am not one for love at first sight. Lust, yes, but not love. But this isn't about love at first sight. They don't even profess love till later one when some common sense finally smacks them upside the head. This is total lust on both sides, with a little devious procuring a bride for the grandmother on the side. The quickie marriage in a dive in Las Vegas kind of threw me off, but I knew why Cole was doing it. Anna was doing it to be wild. But all I kept seeing was the complications that this was going to cause. Then I gave that up and decided to just enjoy it.
Cole is no stranger to women. He is a love them and leave them guy with so many different things he wants to show Anna. Anna is a first grade teacher and only has had two lovers before Cole, neither of whom have stroked a raging fire of passion in her. So when Anna turns very nervous, Cole takes her slowly with throughly. It made me want to jump in and be Anna. Through it all Cole pushes Anna outside of her bounds with new experiences, touches, kisses. Anna blossoms and begins to see the side of Cole no one else sees. Cole took longer and I didn't totally believe he fell in love with her. It seemed to be tacked in and phony for a bit.
There's not much football in the book, which is ok. The Outlaws are playing games, both being home games. The story takes place over about a two week period. Very short love affair. We also get to see the characters from the previous two books and they are doing great of course. The side plots of grandma being sick turns a little unbelievable, but that wasn't what I was reading the book for. The dynamic of the characters is interesting to watch, but there isn't a huge amount of depth to the book. It's a fun tale of suddenly lust and love that works out in the end.
This review was originally posted on Delighted Reader -
Anna Davis is a "good girl", she's a first-grade teacher, unmarried, and boring. She never does anything wild or crazy; she knows it, and her family and friends know it.
Cole Taylor is a superstar football player who's grandmother's dying wish is to see him married and happy. On her deathbed, he tells her he's got a serious girlfriend and he'll bring her by the hospital so his grandmother can see how happy she is. Uh-oh, now what's he going to do?
He sees Anna at a bar in Las Vegas (she's there for her sister's wedding), and he notices her because he says she's got a "halo". Anna is feeling the need to do something crazy, so when Cole comes on to her, then works her into a frenzy and asks her to marry him, quickie-style, in Vegas, she agrees. She doesn't even know his last name.
From there it's phenomenal sex - he ties her up, he does her in the shower, he does her on the couch, the floor, and yes, even the bed. And even though they both know the wedding is a sham, they just can't get enough...
I usually like "marriage of convenience" stories, but for me, Game for Love was a little too convenient. I could see that Anna might not know who the big football star is (I wouldn't), and that she might be wanting to do something crazy to prove to her friends and family that she's not boring and predictable. What I couldn't get behind was the "instant attraction". They went from "hello" to "how can I live without you" in a few hours. Anna jumped from shy and reserved to sex addict a little too quickly to be believable. And seriously, a huge football star gets married to a total stranger without a prenup?
The sex, though, oh - the sex!! If you're specifically looking for a sexy read, Game for Love will fix all that ails you; Cole and Anna had "hot" in spades! -
I bought Game For Love as I'm a football fan and new to romance books. It looked like a good combination of the two and had some positive reviews on Amazon. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I'll finish this and that admission irks me. I *never* leave books I actually pay dollars and cents for unread, even if it is just for the principle of getting my money's worth. But...oh, dear.
I like Cole. A lot, actually. I'd like to know more about him since I know plenty about his very large c*ck. It's huge, in girth and length, so Anna says...repeatedly. I also had some misgivings about the light bondage during Cole and Anna's first time together. They barely knew each other, Cole's spilling mental hearts and flowers over this woman, she admits she has trust issues, and they're doing sex play straight off the bat (or should I say early in the first quarter, at first and ten?). Hmmmm...red flags for me. Sorry.
The big, charming hero and intellectual, bordering on prim, heroine is one of my favorite stock character pairings. At this point, I feel like the writer is letting her story ride on that convention without giving these characters their own unique voices. For Anna's decisions to be plausible, I need to know more about who she is, why she is so enraged with her family's patronizing attitude that she makes a huge and uncharacteristic decision. She is much more filmy in the characterization department than Cole.
I was familiar with Bella Andre's name but haven't read anything by her prior to Game For Love. I doubt I'll give her work a second look. It really seems like she called this one in. I was much more impressed with Jaci Burton's The Perfect Play, in terms of story, writing style, and character development. -

I fast read this book so much that I possibly missed a few important conversations or actions to enjoy this book. That could possibly be why I do not understand the logic of the characters action/ behaviour: why was the heroine angry when she thought the hero didn't marry her for herself (honestly, what did you expect when you only just met before you were married?), why she was angry with the hero when the truth came out at the end (I completely missed the point why she was angry).....
I do not mind intimate scenes and I understand there are moments when people act without thinking. They may just met, get married and then slept together due to their own reasons. However, repeatedly sleeping with each other without really knowing the person make me feel that they are not actually acting like a mature person. The only real base for their relationship is just physical attraction. Worst of all, I can't even see why the hero loves the heroine except she is sweet, innocent and good? There is no real show of how good, sweet and innocent she is, just words in hero's head (in his thinking). Their relationship feels shallow that I cannot truly enjoy their romance. -
How could I NOT read this book with THAT cover?? Don't be fooled by the 3 stars. It means I liked it. This was a fluid read with nice romance and tension. There is that insta-love effect going on, but when reading romance books, quick lust usually turns to love pretty quick. I always remind readers if you want reality, read non-fiction. :)
This is the third book in the Bad Boys of Football series, but I liked the Kindle price of this one and went for it. These can be read as stand alone, but there are a few scenes and a couple of references to characters from the first two books. Nothing you can't follow though.
There are several sex scenes that are great at first, but I skimmed the last few. There are only so many times I can read the same type of scene/thoughts/emotions between two characters. They weren't poorly written, I was just ready to move on to the relationship resolution.
Contemporary romance fans who are use to this genre won't be disappointed. It's not a deeply emotional story, or some great journey, but a nice romance to sate your romance taste buds. -
4 stars
So hating myself because I don't think I could remember precisely of how this story went. Should've reviewed it sooner.
I did remember about Cole said about Anna's eyes. He loved her beautiful ocean eyes. Now when I imagined ocean-like of someone's eyes, that was damn fantastic beautiful.
Their marriage was suddenly. Both with their own reasons. The moment Cole felt he didn't wish Anna to leave him, I knew instantly he didn't want to be alone and he wanted to love someone. He even offered something ridiculous so she could remain at his side.
Too bad, too baddd Anna asked for divorce twice. She should think to not give up her marriage easily. She should work it out. She shouldn't even have the rights for asking it because before they married, Cole asked her nicely and didn't force her into a complete mess.
The ending was so cheesy. I so didn't like it, period. But still, I'm a sucker for married couples' drama.
Read on your own peril. -
Living a life as the good girl who would never do anything to deviate from the white line she had surrounded herself with, Anna Davis is tired of the feeling that everyone expects her to be plain boring Anna.
Football player Cole Taylor makes a desperate attempt to give his dying Grandmother the one thing she wants, him to have a family. When Cole sees Anna in a Vegas nightclub, he knows she is out of her comfort zone but something about the innocent woman calls to him. In a moment filled with lust, confusion, and some unexplained feelings he has never had he proposes to Anna and she accepts. With a quickie marriage after only a couple hours of knowing each other both find themselves holding on to the rides of their lives as they discover they want more than one night together.
Loved this book, just a fantastic read. Would read again in a heartbeat. -
I was surprised by this story. It was very character driven which I love. Its erotica so there is a lot of sex, a little too much, but the love story is well done. It could have been richer and the ending better done but overall a very good read.
The cover does not match the characters looks in the book though. Pretty sure Cole is of some African American descent and I don' think the h is a blonde. -
This is wonderfully written story. I love the plot and I absolutely love the characters. They are complete and total opposites of each other but they were utterly and irrevocably in love with each other.
