Family Business Values covers:

* how values bring power to the family business,

* how family values can strengthen day-to-day operation,

* how values can help to resolve conflicts within the family and between family and business,

* how to identify and articulate genuine family values,

* how to nurture and pass on values in the family and the business

* how to renew and reinterpret values to retain their productive power in today's fast-changing world, and much more.

Family Business Values: How to Assure a Legacy of Continuity and Success (A Family Business Publication) Reviews

It was a pretty decent book, especially valuable for families that are interested in making a list of values to guide their business and investments. I'd be interested in seeing how these values may align with certain faith denominations, as I'm weary of secular values that haven't been time proven. So I think there was more room for depth and figuring out long term value systems that have been successful over many generations. Frugality, honesty, faith, and charity are values I could ascribe to a religious business family like the Rockefellers especially of the patriarch J.D.R. Sr. for example. Having such a historical context I feel would have helped this book, rather than just having what "felt good" for some wealthy families within the last couple decades, that may not have proved themselves over generations.

An excellent book on values and transferring them from generation to generation. This book is relevant to the business and family contexts. Short, deep and thought provoking.
