Haha.. I have a funny story about this book. I read it in grade four and it really freaked me out. A month later when I was lying in bed at night thinking about this book I started to hear something. My mind was playing tricks on me and I actually heard a ghost going: oooOOoooo! In my bedroom and out side in the hallway. I got shivers up my spine and I was terrified! I ran up stairs and was freaking out like crazy. My mom told me
It was probably just the pipes. I went back to bed and lay still listening for the sound again. Sure enough I heard the same eerie ghost noise in moving from the hallway to in my room and back again. I got an actual shiver up my spine which I have to admit was a pretty cool experience. My mom figured out I was hearing things so she told me to think about happy things. When I got back down to my room I constantly thought about fairies and unicorns and rainbows till I fell asleep and I was fine.
Read this book with caution. :P -

This is a great fictional book written by Elisabetta Dami. Geronimo Stilton, the main character, is on his way home from his sisters house when he gets lost in the woods. When he is searching to try and find a way out he sees a mysterious castle. Since he has nowhere else to go he decides to go into the castle. As a couple nights go by Geronimo seems to be being haunted by Curlypaw Cannycat's ghost. After a while he finds iut his sister has been playing tricks on him. But Geronimo seems to be seeing things still. As time goes by he finds out that Curlypaw Cannycat's son has been playing tricks on him too. All in all this was a really good book.

MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER IN THIS BOOK IS BENJAMIN BECAUSE HE IS VERY SMART.
MY FAVOURITE LINE IN THIS BOOK IS WHO SAID A CAT AND A MOUSE CANT BE FRIENDS.
I LIKED THIS BOOK BECAUSE IT WAS REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY FUNNY .
MY FAVOURITE PART IN THIS BOOK WAS WHEN GERONIMO FOUND OUT THAT THE CATS WERE ACTUALLY SMALL KITTENS.
IF YOU ARE GOOD AT PRANKING PEOPLE YOU MIGHT LIKE THIS BOOK .
NOT FORCING YOU BUT I RECOMMEND it to all the JOKERS AND PRANKSTERS TO READ THIS BOOK -
God, I read the entire book with a sound in my head that read word by word in a weird accent as if I was reading it out loud to someone! That was really funny. I especially like making imitations of Geronimo exclaiming words such as 'cheese niblets' xD
Geronimo is a scaredy mouse who, one Halloween night, got lost in the woods and found a shelter in the Cannycat Castle. A spooky one, that is. And he had strange feelings that something was watching him in that castle... -
This was really, really, really funny! Geronimo goes into a haunted house haunted by two twins kittens! Thea thinks that Geronimo ate to much, and Trap thinks Geronimo didn`t eat enough! What will they do in this mix up?

These books are always witty and funny. We enjoy reading them as a family. My 9 year old thought this one was particular spooky and his favorite parts seem to be when Geronimo Stilton became scared. Ha ha!!

I read the first three books in the series on a recommendation, but found them sub-par. Plot? Predictable. Characters? What is the opposite of admirable? Writing style? Silly and irritating. Would mice really refer to their own minds as "mouse brains", or their good ideas as "fabumouse"? What exactly would a holiday called "Christmouse" celebrate? No, they're simply too full of cheese. I doubt I will ever be desperate enough for children's books to scrape these from the bottom of the barrel.

This is a series of book but you don't have to read them in order, to understand who people are or what is going on. (Although some do go more in detail about personalities and such more.) Some of these books are a super cute way of introducing 'History' without really doing it 'in your face' The story line of a family of mice running a newspaper company. Each doing their own things. Another good thing about this book (not sure about the others in this series) but this one had illustrations on EVERY page. Helping people like us where I read it outloud to my special needs teen age son. Having the illustrations helped him to follow the story and was able to enjoy a good story
In this story of Geronimo Stilton the story line and idea was there but the author kind of 'lost' himself through about the middle of the story. The story DRAGGGEEEDDDD on and on and actually lost my special needs teenage son that we have read this is our 4th Geronimo Stilton book and we usually love them and he's never lost intrest etc. I still gave this a 3 star due to the fact that the storyline was a good on and had a few chapters (that repeated the same stuff) had been cut out it would have possibly been a 5 star book.
This is a Halloween story so would be a nice one to read that time of year, OR for anyone that likes being a little scared (although not super scarey) and likes a mystery. super cute idea but just many of the middle chapters are a repeative read from the chapters before so you could get a little bored with it. But stay with it as the end is good. -
Mejor titulo del universo.

i loved cat and a mouse and a haunted house because i like all of the slapstick hehe

I'll admit, even I was uncertain of what Geronimo was facing inside this castle. There was so much mystery involved and nothing was really explainable until the very end. It keeps the reader guessing and wanting to know more.
These are fun books for young readers and I hope many kids will come to enjoy them. -
When Geronimo finds himself lost in a deep, dark forest, he is more than happy to take shelter in an old ad abandoned castle - until he begins to fear it may be haunted! Dami brings the thrills and the chills in this entertaining entry to the "Geronimo Stilton" series. Be on the lookout for signs of cat hauntings on every page!

Reviews from my kids:
E (age 6+): “I liked it even though it was a little scary at first. It was better when we read it during the day. I liked the maps and when they solved the mystery. ”
A (age 4+) : “I liked Benjamin, the witch, the bats, the vampire and the windows that looked like blood. And the map of the castle. 10 stars out of 10” -
Geronimo Stilton is staying in a castle after his car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. He slowly starts hearing and seeing spooky things. He calls his sister who brings her son and their cousin to see what’s going on. Is this castle haunted? Read to find out.
Very repetitive but an interesting ending! -
Why I love this book is because it’s kind of funny but also it’s kind of scary but it’s not that scary. He finds out that it’s a trick and at the end of the book it’s it’s really good so I hope that other people read it and I hope the people who are reading this will want to read it. (Kate)
