    همونطور که از عنوان پیداست داستان درباره‌ی کورهاست.
    این کورها توسط فردی از جایی که ازشون مراقبت میشده خارج میشن ولی به دلیل بی کفایتی و خود خواه بودن اون فرد، کورهای بندگان خدا گرفتار مشکل بزرگی میشند و نمیتونن هیچگونه تصمیمی بگیرند.
    خیلی نمایشنامه ی دلهره آوری بود، وقتی سعی کردم خودم رو جای یکیشون بذارم تنها چیزی که تونستم حس کنم «ترس» بود...

    This one act play could make a great indie horror film adaptation. Cited as one of the reasons for bestowing the Nobel Prize for Literature on author Maurice Maeterlinck, Belgium's only recipient of this award, "The Blind," sometimes translated as "The Sightless," is a simple masterpiece of anxiety, claustrophobia, and suspense.

    Twelve blind people have been led from their asylum on a remote island into the forest. Their guide has disappeared. They seem to be deserted in an unfamiliar place, and because they cannot see, they do not know how to get back to safety. Noises can be heard that they cannot identify. Unseen things touch their hands. Thorns seem to ensnare and cut at them as they try to stand and grope about. Should they attempt to walk to civilization? Or should they wait for their guide? Will he ever come back? In the meantime, the forest is growing cold, and hunger and thirst starts to take hold as tensions run high.

    Maeterlinck was one of the great founders of French Symbolism, a movement that encompassed not only drama but poetry, novels, short stories, and visual arts. It was a fantastic and innovative genre that was able to convey volumes of potential information in very short works, brief sentences, or a single picture. Unfortunately, English-speaking audiences, especially today, have not had any introduction to Symbolism, and much of the literary work from this period has remained untranslated or hard to acquire. However, Maeterlinck is one of the better known examples, especially for his play "Pelléas et Mélisande," which was popularized in operatic form by Debussy. For those unfamiliar with Symbolism, however, "The Blind" is the perfect place to start. Short, intense, and brilliant, it is perhaps most representative of the style.

    The play was intentionally written to be vague and open to interpretation. Some of said how it represents how tied we are to sight to establish a sense of self. None of the characters are named, and one comments on how none of them has ever been able to see each other, so no one knows who they are. Others see the plight of the blind as allegory for the human condition, left helpless by a silent and neglectful, or dead, god, perhaps serving as a prototype for Samuel Beckett's "Waiting for Godot."

    No matter how you "see" the play, I think this would be most effective performed in front of an audience in absolutely darkness, with sound effects piped in to represent the various environmental cues such as wind and footsteps and falling leaves. Theatre Ubu did do something similar. Instead of actors, disembodied plaster heads with faces projected on to them spoke in the pitch black through recorded performances by two voice artists.

    I highly recommend you experience this chilling piece of experimental drama for yourself. If you are not already afraid of the dark, you will be.

    უხუცესის სამახსოვროდ შემორჩენილი სიტყვებიც ძალიან სიმბოლურია :
    "ძალიან ცივი და გრძელი ზამთარი იქნება და ჩრდილოეთიდან უკვე ყინული დაიძრაო. შეიძლება ძალიან შორს მომიხდეს წასვლაო, თქვა...

    -რა მოხდა-მეთქი, ვკითხე. არ ვიციო... მაგრამ მიხრწნილთა ბატონობა, ალბათ, მალე დასრულდებაო..."

    Yes I did it, I've finished the book 20 minutes before 2018.

    There is a lot of confusion between the actors, that's what I disliked. And the story is simple, sounds like a comedy a little bit.

    Świetny klimat niepokoju i narastające napięcie, czytelnik sam staje się tytułowym ślepcem błądząc i polegając jedynie na bardziej lub mniej wyostrzonych zmysłach słuchu i dotyku bohaterów.

    Kilka kwestii źle się zestarzało, ale klimat tego dramatu jest niesamowity. Niepokój, nie wiemy co się dzieje, jesteśmy tymi bohaterami i błądzimy po omacku z wyostrzonymi zmysłami i ukrytymi lekami. Genialne!

    Maurice Maeterlinck est un écrivain francophone belge qui a gagné le prix Nobel de la littérature en 1911. Il a rédigé ‘’ Les aveugles’’ en 1890. Avec ‘’ L’intruse’’, ce sont l’une des premières pièces de théâtre de Maeterlinck.

    Maurice a été inspiré par le tableau ‘’ La parabole des aveugles’’ de Pieter Brueghel l’Ancien réalisé en 1568.

    Cette pièce théâtrale me rappelle le poème de Baudelaire ‘’ Les aveugles’’ dans son recueil Les fleurs du mal dans la section des Tableaux parisiens:

    Contemple-les, mon âme ; ils sont vraiment affreux !
    Pareils aux mannequins, vaguement ridicules ;
    Terribles, singuliers comme les somnambules,
    Dardant on ne sait où leurs globes ténébreux.

    Leurs yeux, d'où la divine étincelle est partie,
    Comme s'ils regardaient au loin, restent levés
    Au ciel ; on ne les voit jamais vers les pavés
    Pencher rêveusement leur tête appesantie.

    “Slepci” je simbolistička drama koju je napisao belgijski nobelovac Moris Meterlin 1890. godine i prvi put izvedena sledeće godine.
    Reč je o drami u samo jednom činu, sa dvanaest slepih osoba koji nisu navedeni poimenice. Radnja se odvija u „staroj, staroj, iskonskoj nordijskoj šumi pod visokim zvezdanim nebom“. Na maloj udaljenosti, ne dodirujući se, sede šest slepih muškaraca i šest slepih žena. Tri žene se mole, a jedna od žena (navedena kao slepa luđakinja) drži bebu u krilu. Pored njih, naslonjen na visoki hrast, sedi „u mrtvoj nepokretnosti” ostareli sveštenik. Uz razgovor slepaca saznajemo da se nalaze na ostrvu gde se čuje zvuk reke, a na njegovoj drugoj strani je sklonište gde su nekada odvođeni slepi. Međutim, oni ne mogu sami da pronađu put do skloništa. Čekaju starog sveštenika koji je njihov vodič. S vremena na vreme čuje se tutnjava mora, šuštanje lišća, šuštanje ptičjih krila; ovi zvuci plaše slepe. Sve je ovo filozofska simbolika koja predstavlja slepo čovečanstvo koje je izgubilo svoje vođe i ostavljeno da beznadežno čeka neminovnu smrt. Negde sam naišla na objašnjenje da svaki od slepih oslikava određenu stranu života: Mlada Slepa – umetnost i lepotu, Luda slepa – inspiracija, njeno Dete, jedino vidjeće u ovoj gomili slepih, – novi, nastajajući misticizam, svetionik na obali ostrva – čista nauka itd. Pojavljuje se i pas kome Meterlink daje ogromnu ulogu u istoriji ljudskog napretka, kao jedino živo biće na zemlji koje je zaključilo ugovor o prijateljstvu sa čovekom.

    Hoe?
    Hoe wordt Maeterlinck amper nog gelezen? Hoe had ik tot eergisteren überhaupt nog nooit iets van hem gekocht? Dit was briljant, Waiting for Godot of Huis Clos, maar dan uit 1890! De dramatische ironie is zo groot in dit stuk, de blinden zien niet wat wij zien, dat de oude priester overleden is en dat ze derhalve reddeloos verloren zijn. In de sprookjesachtige omgeving ervaren zij existentiële leegte. Naar mijn mening is dit een van de allereerste moderne toneelstukken en het is pijnlijk, zo goed is het, het doet pijn.

    A symbolic play about humanity being blind and loosing the one who can guide them in search of Death or a new God. I won't pretend to understand this drama, it was rather mysterious.

    Это квинтэссенция символического текста. И хотя разгадывать по ходу чтения символы было интересно, признаю, восторг мой вызвала не только их плотность на 1 строку текста.

    Поражена, сколь сильные чувства может вызвать пьеса на 50 страниц. Узнаю страх неизвестности, ощущение потерянности — как было их много пару прошлых лет. Пусть речь в тексте шла о потере религии как проводника через жизнь, но эту роль можно примерить на кого угодно — политика, родителей. Разговоры слепых позволяют вспомнить те мгновения, когда земля уходила из-под ног и каждая частичка воздуха наполнялась враждебностью.

    И спустя дни после прочтения смотрю влюблёнными глазами на аллегории решившей что прозреет после смерти проводника слепой, священника, собрав��егося к маяку, не находящих смысла в выходе за стены слепорожденных.
    В общем, пьеса стоит прочтения и возвращения к ней. Она прекрасна.

    This play by Belgian Nobel Laureate Maurice Maeterlinck predates the Theatre of the Absurd, including Samuel Beckett's thought-provoking creations, but definitely has all the hallmarks of it. In this eerie production, a priest leads six blind men and six blind women out of their hospice and into a forest. This group of people, who detect that the priest is no longer responding to them, soon find themselves in one unfamiliar territory (they are on one unexplored island), questioning their environment, each other and even their beliefs about the world. This play can be said to be a parable of our limited perception of the world and how it can give rise to all sorts of unfounded fears and assumptions. The story has a frighteningly indeterminate finale.

    مسرحية يسرد بها الكاتب واقعة يتعرض لها مجموعة من المكفوفين الذين ينتقلون الى مكان ما , ويصادف ان يتوفى القس المسئول عن اصطحابهم أثناء الرحلة. يصف الكاتب تأثير ماحدث على المجموعة وكيف اختلفت ردود أفعالهم وكذلك كيف تشابهت فى مواقع اخرى. يعيب المسرحية, المبالغة فى بعض المواضع, وقد يجدها البعض مهينة, ولكنها فى النهاية مسرحية رمزية تعكس ردود فعل فئة من البشر عند تعرضهم لموقف مفاجئ.
