After all the dry books written by uninteresting and non-creative people on perspective, finally a book that is trying to be engaging. At least here you can see the creativity at work. Thank you.

An important book for artists with experience. I learned alot regarding what goes into extreme perspectives. The edition that includes a DVD of the files is the perfect compliment to the knowledge and theory you read about. The DVD includes a good instruction read me file to help you choose appropriate grids. Definitely read the entire book before using the templates on the DVD. It's a fast read, albeit technical. I have used one of the fish-eye grids for my graphic novel and plan to use more for other illustrations. I won't use it for everything (it is extreme-smile). However, when I need to use it, I now know exactly what to use and how it work. I think any artist could benefit from this book.

This book was trying too hard to present the content in a fun way. It uses a comic book format with a strange character that has a mug for a head and the drawings are tiny and hard to see. The dialogue was annoying and I had a very hard time understanding the concepts that were presented because of this. The only reason I own this book is because it covers extreme perspective topics which I couldn't find much about in other books and I gave it 3 stars for that reason.

Excellent advice for difficult perspectives, although truth be told if I had to go through all of these meticulous steps for every project I worked on, I probably wouldn't get much drawing done. Even so, this is one of those must-have books for my reference bookshelf.

it teaches concepts that are rarely touched upon by other perspective books, but the way it teaches them is quite confusing.

Entertaining, but confusing.
