Lost in bloodlust, Brooklyn doesn’t recognize a friend from a foe. In her case, truths come to light will be her undoing.
Dominic is left to pick up the pieces of a woman he’s grown to respect. While she murders her way across the city, he’s busy looking for a cure. Sometimes, though, you can’t fix what’s irreparably broken unless you take drastic measures.
He will use Alice to bring Brooklyn back to herself.
The panther shifter knows Brooklyn’s humanity won’t let her kill her friend, but if the plan doesn’t work, he will do more damage than the Syndicate ever could.
And it might mean the end to everything, including Brooklyn’s life.

I enjoyed it but only experiencing everyone’s POV but Brooklyn’s left it a bit short for me.
Can not wait for book 4!!
Happy reading,

I was so excited to see that this author was putting out a new book as I had just pretty much discovered her before she took a writing hiatus. I eagerly dived back into this world to see Brooklyn, Alice, Dominic, et al again. It didn’t take long before I was immersed in this fun world again. Poor Brooklyn is right back at her beginning when this book starts, and that begins her long fight back. However, she it isn’t long before she’s in trouble again. This author has a great way with words, and this book kept my attention from beginning to end. I can’t wait to see what happens next. Highly recommend.

what the hell is going on in the House of Commons because I just peaked at all the chapters and al the povs are not Brooklyns but Dominic’s and Alice’s. I’m sorry to this man and this lady but I’m not here for there internal monologues I’m here fore Brooklyn and Brooklyn only. i might wait until the next book comes out to read this one.

Everlasting Fire
3 Stars
This is a fun, fast-paced urban fantasy. It held my attention most of the time. I love world-building, interesting characters, and a cool universe. This book continues where Book 2 left off. In Everlasting Fire, Book 3, our trio isn't working as well together. This puts them at odds with the big bad, and they land some blows. However, the book's ending was a money grab! Plans for book 4 are to destroy everything that was built in books 1–3. No, thank you.
I almost DNF the first book due to the author's repeated misspelling of the name Isaiah. I'm disappointed it wasn't corrected in books 1–3.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend this series until it's complete. I don't like supporting authors that use cliffhangers to draw an audience. It upsets me and ruins the reading experience. The first book, Black Hand, is a solid read, but the writing declines in book 2, and book 3 is a waste of time. (Think about the movie Matrix with Keanu Reeves.) I wish I had stopped with book 1 and am not interested in book 4. -
Are you ready for the next part of Brooklyn’s and company's journey? This book will knock the others right out of the park~ The brilliance that Maya brings to her books continues to make her one of my favorite Indie authors~ Everything constantly evolves, more action, more snark, more of everything~ Most of all, her characters are totally relatable making you feel as if you are a part of their world. In this book, I actually found myself moving in my chair and yelling out loud. The ending definitely had me almost in tears…how will you react? Maya definitely understands what the readers want and what it takes to keep them hooked~ After a long hiatus, her writing has grown exponentially~ If you were not immersed in these characters in the previous two books, trust me they will ENCOMPASS your mind, and world in the third~ Brooklyn is back where she started, which is not a good thing. Being back in the pit, will it finally send her over the edge? Dominic, Alice, and Samir will do everything in their power to get Brooklyn back~ This book takes on a much more serious tone with the characters having lived through the experiences thrown at them. They are much more somber and desperate to retrieve Brooklyn from the enemies. Those same enemies once again underestimate Brooklyn. When she goes on a rampage of blood lust leaving bodies in her wake not recognizing the enemy from foe. This is a side we are not used to from Brooklyn, and she is out of her mind and very dangerous to everyone. Although, Dominic is her chosen and possibly fated, games and manipulations will make him not think very clearly where she is concerned. Something very weird transpires between Samir and Alice. Alice will have to go somewhere to receive the help she needs…but at what cost? All of this to help Brooklyn…will they be able to help her without any of them paying the deadly consequences? Another great read from author Maya Daniels~ The character growth in the third book fits the scenario perfectly. The author did a fantastic job bringing some of the secondary characters into play in this book by bringing them to the forefront.

Absolutely brilliant.. Maya Daniels has a great way with words and brings them together to create a great book!
This book continues Brooklyn's story. All our favourite characters are there.. don't you just love Alice!!? Dominic finally acknowledges what Brooklyn is to him and hopefully it's not too late.
Pick this book up and settle down, in a comfy place, with snacks.. cos you're not putting the book down, until you finish. You won't regret it!
I recieved a copy of this book, in return for an honest review. -
I absolutely LOVED this series!! I practically consumed it!
I enjoyed Black Hand, the twists, the characters and the world building drew me in. Lower World made me fall in love with Brooklyn, Dominic and Alice as they fight to stay alive and try to defeat a common enemy. Everlasting Fire, Wow! It brought everything together, the action and the banter was perfect! - if I wasn't biting my nails, I was laughing out loud! I can not wait for the next book!! -
1.5 stars
Nothing happened. Dominic's POV is just "oh my god I'm so horny and I'm so incompetent bc I can't save my mate." Alice's POV is better, but I do not understand where tf her liking Samir came from. They are so drastically different with quite literally nothing in common. No chemistry at all. But surprise! They like each other now, I guess. It just felt so lazy. And even all the stuff she did in this book with the sanctuary and the rituals, none of it turned into anything?? So it was just a complete waste of time?? Unless it's going to be useful in the next book, in which case I'd point out that this book was pointless.
There were also a lot of typos and confusing things. How many times can we misspell the name Isaiah in this series?? Because I genuinely think we've misspelled it more times than we've spelled it correctly. It also seemed like the author just leaned what the work Machiavellian means because we used it to describe multiple characters, even when it felt like a complete tonal shift in the dialogue. And then Alice. What in the fuck was she talking about when she said "It took me back to my dad's safe house the night the Syndicate attacked us en-masse, destroying everything." What????? I thought that was Dominic's backstory. Why did the Syndicate attack Alice. When did that happen. Alice didn't even know what the Syndicate WAS?? She was human??? With no knowledge of this world?? Like I'm so confused???
At one point when Dominic was being horny for his 'mate' (who isn't herself, btw, so it's honestly gross that he's so into her when she's like this), he's talking about his dick being hard and compares it to an arrow. "A very red and angry looking arrow, if I was being honest with myself." WHY IS IT RED?????? Very red???????? I know in the first book we described his skin as having a reddish tone, but I didn't think you meant that his skin was actually red. I honestly don't even know how he's supposed to look, and now I'm even more confused. Regardless, I did not need this imagery.
Also, the stakes kept being framed as sooooo high, but they weren't. Getting captured by the Syndicate and going to the cages was supposed to be the worst thing that could happen to someone, but they rescued Brooklyn in a few days with literally no issues. What was the point of her letting herself get captured. "So her friends could get away" no. Thats bullshit. The syndicate is hunting her regardless like?? If anything, they're MORE pissed off now?? And the whole bloodlust thing, you cannot sit there and tell me that she's a mindless animal when she's fully capable of having conversations with people??? And the ending. So stupid. Can we stop with the cheap cliff hangers?? Because you're just ending the book at the climax. It feels so incomplete. -

First Three Books Review
First, the blurb sounded like a great premise but then I started them and well they aren’t great. They are terribly slow, repetitive, and often long winded on stuff that really doesn’t matter.
Second, they are short and easily forgettable. I can’t much remember what was the point of book one and two. I can say book three was a waste of words and offered literally nothing to a series plot.
And it was this third book that lost me as a reader. Who wants to read about everyone chasing their tails the entire time in something that had nothing to do really with the overall plot?
Three books in and fmc still isn’t the badass assassin the blurb made her out to be and everyone is constantly doing stupid stuff instead of talking, planning and being somewhat efficient and effective.
There’s no character development and plot is as slow moving as molasses. I only read these three books because they are under 200 pages, but honestly they aren’t worth it, there are better books out there, these need a lot of work. -
An Absolutely Wonderful Read!
This book was so amazing, I had a hard time putting it down when I was reading it at work. I didn’t want to go back to work from reading this on my break. Lol, I didn't expect a cliffhanger, but I'm extremely excited to read the next book and can't wait to see what happens next! Each book in this series keeps getting better and better! I love the way Maya wrote this. Not once did we know what Brooklyn was thinking, and it was so refreshing to have the mystery of it. Maya did an excellent job with this one! -
Dang!!
Holy cliffhangers, Batman! We gain a few more members to the rag tag bunch of heroes. Brooklyn had sacrificed herself to save her friends and ended up back in the cages. There’s a battle, gladiator style, poison, shamans, and a few chuckles too. Great read, I can see how some may not like the story because it doesn’t seem to flow with the previous story arc as a whole, but there is so much character development for the side characters in this book that I feel it’s important. -
Everlasting Fire, the third book of the Infernal Regions for the Unprepared series, is an ebook I borrowed through Kindle Unlimited (KU). The writer managed to keep the momentum going into book three. The relationship between Brooklyn and Dominic is progressing nicely. My only complaint? I have to wait for book four to release.

Loved it

Entertaining
Plenty of battles, an foreseen twist, and a chase. The story ends on another cliffhanger. Looking forward to book 4. -
I probably would have gone 4 stars on this one, but I fricking hate cliffies with long waits. grrr....
-
Loved this book. Such excitement in a book. Fantastic characters. You can’t fail to be drawn into the story.
Let’s hope the author writes fast after dropping us in it. -
EVERLASTING FIRE is the third book in the Infernal Regions for the Unprepared series and it starts where book 2 finished, so you really should read these in order.
Brooklyn allowed herself to be captured in order to save her friends. Unfortunately, this looks as though it wasn't the best idea, seeing as how she is either caged or put in a ring to fight goodness-knows-what. It is during one of these fights that her arm gets slashed which unleashes a whole load of chaos.
Alice is still the main woman for me! I love her attitude, her witticisms, and her bravery. She is just the 'poor human' with a touch of magic (that I really want to know more about because I don't think it's a touch!) holding her own against supernatural beings. Rowen is a new addition and I loved the scenes he was in. I can't wait to continue with the story.
Samir, Dominic, and Brooklyn all play their roles perfectly, definitely leaving you on a cliffhanger and wanting to know what comes next.
A great addition to the series that I definitely recommend. Black Hand is still my favourite of the bunch, but I am thoroughly enjoying the series.

Keep it coming!
This book was a wonderful continuation of Brooklyn, Dominic, and Alice's story.
Brooklyn risked everything to save her friends, and her payment for that sacrifice is bloodlust. She knows only two things: unending hunger and her hate for the Syndicate.
Dominic is determined to save Brooklyn, no matter what. That goal is solidified when he realizes that she is his mate.
Alice will do anything to get her friend back, including putting her human life at risk. She uses what magic she possesses to find a way to save the Atua from her bloodlust, but will it be enough in the end?
This author has created a world and characters that suck you in immediately and leave you grasping for more. I haven't been this committed to a series since the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews. I can't wait for the next book in this series!
