    This book was in my room during a Silence and Solitude Retreat and I read it in a single morning. It's an interesting book that gives you a peek into the life of St. Francis but also includes some devotions and prayers. I especially liked the stories told by others about St. Francis.

    I plan to read more about his life - while I have heard of him prior to reading this, I haven't read anything detailing his life. He was certainly a man who loved Jesus and all of creation. I was moved by several of his writings.

    This book was short, very easy to read, and made me think. If you don't know much about St. Francis, it's a good place to start.
