The Mummy Beads (Voice of the Nile #2) Reviews

When you've got a heroine who has an ancient Egyptian princess communicating with her telepathically & baddies called Snake & Lucky Chucky you know you're not going to get anything that will be too taxing on the brain!

A fun, easy cheesy, romantic read...this was just what you'd expect from a Harlequin Intrigue & in that respect it doesn't disappoint, I have to say that to my surprise I rather liked it.

NEVER EVER in my whole life have I read romances. I've boxed them, sorted them, set them up for sale but never ever have I read one….until now this is a HARLEQUIN INTRIGUE (which means it's time travel, suspense…) - which I didn't know. ---but browsing a Book Sale ---it was just laying there, on top of the pile, calling out to me -- with a picture of the mummy, the beads I couldn't resist and, it was a quick, fast read and enjoyable! and, was totally floored to learn that the 1st of this series is worth $6-$8.00!

I'm convinced this had to have started out as Remington Steele fanfic, or at least as something STRONGLY inspired by Remington Steele. The hero is on the run, terribly Irish, black-haired and named Revington, and he teams up to solve a mystery (and fall in love) with a lady investigator.

That said, it was glorious, and reading it plunged me back into the late 80s/early 90s like some sort of paperback time-travel device. I loved it.
