-
The Need for a Second Look at Jonestown is volume fourty-one in the Studies in American Religion series. It is a collection of essays by people who were touched in some way by the events in Jonestown, Guyana on November 18, 1978. Reflections by former Peoples Temple members, insights by psychologists and counselors and revelations by relatives reveal what has transpired in the decade that has followed the tragedy. This volume, edited by Rebecca Moore, also includes essays from her mother, Barbara Moore and her uncle Robert Buxton Moore. Their contributions to this work offer insight into how the Moore family dealt with the tragedy of Jonestown. There are no notes or works cited sections present. The volume features drawings by Joe Sam along with a section that offers a brief biography for each of the contributors.
