When Aurora "Rory" Constable and Tucker Schulz are thrown together at a "lock and key" party, the attraction is undeniable. Despite the simmering sexual tension between them, they decide to fight their feelings and just be friends...until they win a weekend together to explore all the other ways they could fit together.

With Tucker's skillful hands all over her before they even set out, Rory is soon hot and bothered. Cooling down with the resort's specialty drink—liquid sex—isn't likely to help! How is she going to maintain her "friends only" no-sex vow when she's this close to a man she wants day and night?

    Slow Ride
    4 Stars

When Aurora "Rory" Constable and Tucker Schultz meet at a lock & key party, the two decide to ignore their intense chemistry and remain friends. That is until they win the grand prize of a romantic getaway and realize that it will be impossible for them to keep their hands off each other. Can Rory and Tucker get past their own hangups to be together?

Rory is an exceedingly relatable heroine with her quiet demeanor and strong work ethic. Tucker is a charming "happy-go-lucky" sort of hero who tries extra hard to conceal his emotions, but fails when it comes to Rory.

Rory and Tucker's chemistry is off the charts. In fact, this is one of the more sexually explicit installments in the Harlequin Blaze imprint.

Overall, a quick, light read recommended for lovers of sweet romances with little to no angst and some seriously sexy times.

Slow Ride was earthy, but I didn't connect with the characters. I do like Carrie Alexander's writing style and her frankness. I think I was expecting more warmth, though.
