The run away pizza is about a couple who order a pizza which runs away. On the pizza's journey it gets chased by lots of famous characters from different children's books.
This book can be read during the topic of healthy eating and can relate to counting, by counting how many people are chasing the pizza. The repetitive language can really engage the children into the story and can even be good for role play. Whilst the story is being read the children can role their hands to keep themselves engaged when appropriate.
I thought this was a good book for children because it has the ability to keep them engaged, they can relate it back to other stories and discussions about alternative endings can be made.
