House of the ScorpionTeacher Guide by Novel Units Reviews

I think that the book was amazing I read this in class and it was jaw opening it could get confusing at some point in the book but other ways it was outstanding.

The book The House of the Scorpion is a good book that I would recommend to friends. From start to finish it kept me on the edge of my seat. The book is about a clone of a really powerful man who is trying find rights in a sad world. the action/thrill is really good and interesting. Plus the story this book amazing. Even thought the ending made me want to cry.

This book takes place on the Mexico and Arizona border. The main character is Matt. Matt meets a girl named Maria. Matt meets El Patron. Matt finds out he is a clone. El Patron dies and tries to make Matt give him his heart. Opium is in lockdown. Matt breaks in to save everyone there. Matt saves Mexico.
The five examples of figurative language are scary like a monster. He is like a monster. You are as ugly as an alien. Ugly like a goblin. That is slimy like a dog.
I liked how Matt was a clone but not a lot of people cared. I also like that he met new friends along his journey. I dislike that he almost got killed. Also how his friend nearly died from whale bones.
