Always Dream (Positively for Kids Series) Reviews

Read this for my Pop Sugar Challenge about an athlete or sport. Did some more research online about her life after this book. Enjoyed that she mentioned Scott Hamilton (another Olympic Gold Medalist who is from Ohio & a graduate of BGSU).

Juvenile. There's quite a bit about Kristi's Japanese-American heritage in this book, and she even addresses the concerns about whether she was denied endorsements in 1992 because of it (she says the press about the issue bothered her, and she really doesn't know whether her endorsements were affected because athlete endorsements were down across the board that year). The expected candids, family shots, and performance shots are intermingled slightly bizarrely with cartoons by Doug Keith. Part of the proceeds of the book went to the Always Dream foundation, but the book itself is not nearly as preachy as one might fear.
