This is a beautiful, brightly colored board book with soft, padded covers and rounded edges. The images are peaceful; some pastel and some brightly colored. The rhymes are all finger-play or clapping (interactive) which babies love. This book will last from infant stage (9 months) to around 3 years old.

The back cover says it best:

My sons loved this book because the rhymes are very interactive, and got me really engaged with my child. There was a bit of finger play and tickling involved, which is always a fun time for us!

This review is from my mom: Don't remember any nursery rhymes? Want a book to read them out of that has a nursery rhyme on each page so your kid gets bored and flips the page before you're done reading? This is the book for you.

  • Maryann

My almost 2-year-old LOVES this book! I have to read it to her at least once a day. The best part is, I don't get annoyed reading this book over and over. Too bad it's a library book - it will be a sad day when I have to return it to the library.

  • Rachel

He hated this book. With a passion.

  • Jem

Lots of great rhyming! Really enjoyed "If You're Happy and You Know It", but my favs: "The Wheels on the Bus", "The Itsy Bitsy Spider", and of course "This Little Piggy".
