CONSTANTINOS PREGNANT BRIDE Reviews

The H and h have a one night stand, she gets preggers and they get married for the baby's sake.
But the H has huge family obligations and keeps putting them first. The H's mother pushes her down the stairs while she is preggers and the h has had enough and leaves the H's sorry hiney.
Turns out the mum has a brain tumor, the H promises he will put h first, cause she is still preggers.
But! Then he misses the plane to where the h is waiting for him and the h leaves his hiney, again ,thinking he will never change.
He eventually shows up and proves he loves her with a Grand Gesture and HEA.
I liked this one. Everybody was really trying their best to make things work but responsibility and trauma just kept getting in the way. The h was pretty great too, she tried to be understanding and then she was just done with him, so she left.
I like when h's leave, it makes me think there might be HPlandia calcium smuggling going on and I poke around in various HP's looking for the seekrit calcium smuggling tunnels... -

I really enjoyed this book. I was glad that it had more of a story to it than the average Harlequin books.
Cassie and Benedict shared one night of passion together. 3 months later he came back Cassie’s work, and was about to knock on her closed door, when he overheard Cassie telling her best friend Trish that she was pregnant. She also stated that Benedict was the father, but she would never tell him. Shocked would not describe how Cassie felt when she realized that Benedict heard everything. It was nice to read a book where the hero never questioned if that baby was his or not. He wanted to spend as much time with Cassie to get to know her. He wanted to marry her, but had to win her over first. Their marriage wasn’t free of problems but I enjoyed reading how they handled each situation like mature adults. So many of the Harlequins has the Hero’s, or heroines throw fits, or never talk the problems out. I really thought this was a beautiful love story.
Sample from chapter four
“At my summer home in Sicily,” He said Coming up behind her and sliding his arms around her waist, The sound of the sea lapping on the shore is a night long lullaby. You will fall asleep with the moon casting stark shadows over the land, and awaken the next morning to golden sunlight and the scent of verbea and rosemary and jasmine.” She leaned against him; let him rest his chin on the crown of her head. “You make it sound idyllic. Can you guarantee that’s how our marriage will be?” “No, Cara,” He murmured, turning her slowly to face him. “The most I can promise is that I will make it the best that it can be. Inevitable, there will be storms, but there will be the calm that follows, and many, many times in between heated by a different passion.” “What kind?” she said, flirting with him from beneath lowered lashed. “The kind better demonstrated than described in words.” -
What do i say, this book was on my wishlist over a year and was dying to read but after finishing i am thinking whether i had my expectation too high ,it disappointed me so much, the story lacked so many things, there was a connection chemistry between Benedict-Cassandra but i dunno still something was lacking,Benedict left no stone unturned to make Cassandra his wife for the sake of the child but just as they are married it seemed there its over,he abandones Cassandra in his home with his mother who had temper problems and he knew something was wrong with her mother lately she became abusive and everyday there was some problem or the other still he brought Cassandra there and left her there
So many things he hid from her leaving Cassandra as well as readers confused instead of dominating and commanding Cassandra to do things he should have confided in her the problems going on and should have warned Cassandra that his mother has problems and be careful, his mother Elvira she called her names and pushed her from the stairs if something would have happened then what
as we go on reading we know Benedict did'nt loved Cassandra he was only attracted to her sexually, but there was no scene or action which made us feel yes he has started to fall for Cassandra through the out the story he is always away tackling some problem or the other, never spent any time with her only he keeps thinking when he away i miss her,he even on one occasion said we will remained married atleast till this child is born,it is never cleared later whether he said it in anger or he really meant it at that time and as time passed he loves Cassandra and will not let her get away
Cassandra loved Benedict, but she kept the feelings hidden cause she is unsure of Benedict's feelings towards her cause till the end its only seen he is with her cause of the child, then when he comes to know what happened his mother pushed Cassandra from the stairs he is afraid of losing her and child,it seemed every sudden, till the end i never felt he has fallen in lovefor me he is only attracted to her
By thelast 10-15 page we see Benedict realisation of his mistakes, that he loves Cassandra and from now on he will always keep his marriage above everything else, the ending was rushed,i was disappointed and dissatisfied by this book
Okay read -
I read this a while back and just read it again now. I still can't get over how silly the heroine was. She let the hero control her, even when she said she wouldn't. She also goes back to see the heroes mother, after she was pushed down the stairs by her. Brain tumor or not, I would definitely not of followed the hero anywhere.

One night of uncontrollable attraction had left Cassandra Wilde pregnant with Benedict Constantino's baby! The Italian tycoon's immediate solution was marriage. His particular brand of persuasion left Cassie breathless! Once in Italy, after the wedding, Cassie began to hope that her marriage of convenience could turn into one of mutual love. But, it seemed, the only thing that Benedict was willing to give was passion

I don't know what it was about this book, but I absolutely loathed it. In the beginning, I hated Cassie, and this is coming from someone who doesn't hate heroines ever. But she was so stupid and childish. She asked stupid questions, ignored facts, and fought over things that shouldn't have been fought over. Then as the story progressed, she became weak, the typical harlequin heroine, which make her less hated. For Benedict, the hero, my feelings also flip-flopped, but this time from like to dislike. He was ok, seemed charming and reasonable until we started to get scenes from his POV. Also, one of the first things he does is to tell her that love is unimportant and basically meaningless in marriage, then he does to do OTT romantic things, which come off as false since we know he doesn't care about love, so he comes off as a playboy using romance to seduce Cassie.
Then we get to the end . . . I can't even with this ending. It was so needlessly stupid. She wants to go home, he won't let her because he doesn't want her "that far away." A few hours by plane, totally fine, but over the Ocean? Nope. So he promises to be back after dealing with more family drama and will go home with her. They have tickets, she's in the airport waiting for him for FOUR HOURS. He doesn't show, he doesn't call, he ghosts her. Why? Because he did. That's a better reason that what the author came up with, which was he didn't want to have to tell Cassie he was putting his family first WHILE putting his family first. (to be fair, his mother had had surgery the night before, which is why he should have called since Cassie isn't unreasonable.)
What I did like about this book, I liked the mother in law drama, it was way OTT and could have been done a lot better, but it was a new take on things. Mental illness is something rarely talked about in these kinds of books, and it was a change. I also liked that Cassie is a successful business woman. I even like that they fly commercial. But other than that, there's not much to like about this. -
This was about Cassandra who one night let her hair down and slept with Benedict. He reconnects with her and finds out that she is now pregnant with his child. They get married and he takes her home to Sicily to meet his family. That is where most of the story is told. His mother does not like her at all and will do anything to end the marriage. I enjoyed the book and have read several more by Catherine Spencer.

It was ok
It was an ok book, but I love the Alpha Italian Man.I think Benedict was a pretty good husband even though he made too Manu allowances for his wife and the Cass wined to sammich for me. -
Great Book, enjoyed the characters and story.
