The Brabanti Baby Reviews

    A great Brabanti story!!

If you love an emotional "not afraid to say I Love You" story with love and children, this is great. Only a few mean moments, but the remaining was excellent.

Hero met heroine when she came down to deliver her cousins baby for a vacation. The baby turned out not to be the heroes but he fell in love with the heroine making a baby with her. When he learns the heroines cousins baby was not his, he kicks them all out including the heroine. The heroine returns telling him she's pregnant and she loves him, then viola, happily ever after.

Rich, powerful Gabriel Brabanti is not a man to be disobeyed...or betrayed. Though he wants Eve's body, he no longer wants her, because he believes she's deceived him--for money.
But Gabriel is wrong. Eve's innocent and she has a secret that is the key to everything Gabriel has ever wanted: their passion has resulted in her conceiving the Brabanti heir..

Just OK. The villainess is truly rotten!

This was easily one of the best HP's I've ever read. Okay, at least it was one of the most engaging ones. I like the HP's in general, but not think much about them.

So if I like it so much, why only 3 stars? Because...OMG. 14 pages before the end, there's a conversation about ultra sounds. The villain dangles the fact that she knew she was carrying a girl a whole two months before she gave birth. The father looks skeptical and looks to the heroine, as if "is that really possible". The heroine, a FREAKIN' USA NURSE!, said, and I am directly quoting, ""It's sometimes possible, Gabriel" she confirmed, "especially with today's sophisticated technology."

It's the "SOMETIMES" in that statement that got me (okay, the whole conversation erked me). Unless you specifically ask NOT to know, at least in the US, u/s are routinely performed, full-blown anatomy scans, between 18 & 22 weeks. A HECK of a lot more than just 2 months before birth! And only 'sometimes' is it possible to find out the sex? It's a lot less likely NOT to be able to tell. AND THE NURSE!!!!!!!!!! was the one who said it! The nurse who works in a downtrodden clinic and sees babies all day long!

    Okay, rant over.

Beyond that idiocy, this was actually a surprisingly fabulous book. Strong characters and all.

contenuto nella antologia Amori fra le onde, spero di trovarlo singolo per poter liberare un librone inutile. è un racconto scritto bene e molto carino. lo rileggerò.

    rilettura (confermo 3 stelle)
    carino, ma si può liberare.
