I won this book in a First Reads giveaway. My children have really enjoyed it. We listen to the CD in the car while taking my son to Pre-k. While the author is no Shel Silverstein, I really like a few of the poems. I noticed a couple of typos in the text which shouldn't have gotten past a good copy-editor (things like that bother me a little but I'm sure most people don't notice that kind of thing). It was a nice surprise to see that the author inscribed it "Hello Carla, I hope you enjoy this piddly book of poems. Best wishes, Benny Bellamacina." I haven't read vol. 1 yet, but I may just go looking for it.
