A True Mates novel.

Deputy Chadleigh Wilson, former lone wolf and new to the Raven pack, was raised among humans in foster care. He doesn't know anything about true mates, but one smile from Tameka Jones and he knows he has to have her. He'll do anything to claim her. Once she's his, he'll do whatever it takes to keep her safe.

Tameka Jones is baffled by her response to the handsome deputy. She came to Refuge to simplify her life. Instead, she finds herself surrounded by people who think they're werewolves, of all things, and now her dead grandmother is talking to her.

But Chad's not the only person interested in Tameka. Someone wants her land and is willing to do anything -- even kill -- to get it.

Tamekas Smile (True Mates, #4) Reviews

I loved this one which surprised me because I couldn't figure out why Wynn created a novel with new characters when the existing ones storyline where as of yet unfinished. However it was good. Chad was just dreamy I also loved Bull and Rome. I have to admit like usual Tameka just was off balance and insecure she tried to cover it up with aggression but it's easy to see straight through it. One of my biggest complaints is that I didn't see any of the old player execpt for Alex, and Keisha and even then to be honest it was stale. The action was pretty good in this one. Though to be honest their was a big lack of romance on Tameka's side of the mating which bothered me. I hope there is another one I am really much more interested with what is going to happen with Rilley and some of the other old players but I still liked this one it was good.

This was an interesting read from the very beginning. I have to admit that I was torn about how to feel about Chad taking advantage of Tameka during their first encounter. As the book went on though, it was obvious that his feelings for her were deeper than physical attraction. If Chad was not a shifter his possessiveness would have been scary but in this context it was very romantic.

I enjoyed the suspense in the story as well with Chad having to protect his mate from danger. The family aspect of the pack was great as well, with everyone playing their role with bringing Tameka in board. Altogether I enjoyed the book and I will read more of Zena's books in the future.

It has been a little while since I read this book but here is what I recall...

I love the series!! Yummy romance involving shifters. Plenty of steamy action and a touch of humor!

Definitely a series to get into! I started it and didn't stop until I reached the last book that was released! I am always looking for the next book!

If you like steamy shifter romances this is a series to look into!!!!

A very well-written book that deals with the inter-racial relationship between Tameka and a shape-shifter sheriff's deputy, one who is a novice at relationships but recognizes her as his true mate. The story is fun and has lots of ups and downs. Again, it is always fun to see how these very different individuals find their true selves while finding their true mates. Just a really fun read!

  • Merry

This was written very well. I have to admit, the beginning had me a bhit perturbed...and I'm not giving it away, it was a bit...difficult to read and so I skipped it a bit. Got down to the meat of Tameka's and Chad's relationship and it was interesting. This feels like a book in a series? If so, I need to read the ones before this. But overall, it was an ok enough read.

  • Karen

I have come to love this series. Tameka's Smile was one of my favorite in this series. Each story is different and you learn a little bit more about the previous characters. I recommend this book and the series.

  • Mytoya Garcia

I HAVE READ THIS SERIES AND LOVE IT! CAN'T WAIT UNTIL BOOK 5 IS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MUST READ!!!!!!!!

  • Dominus~

I always like the sidestories more than the main plot. Bull and NeCee is so funny and cute. Are they going to be together? Are they true mates? I thought you just know it when you meet them but there wasn't any indication of it with Bull. Don't tell me she's not, they seem to hit it right off the start.
Now off with Tameka and Chad. The first scene was the most awesome first sight ever!!!! I mean that was freaking awesome. But when they progressed after that, Chad is all weird. Maybe because he didn't have a girlfriend before.
The ending where the ladyguy was captured before there was even an action was fine. I guess it would have been cliche if Tameka was shot and still won over her.
I also thought Tameka was pregnant. Hmmm..

I am really enjoying this series! Very well-written, great characters, and interesting, enjoyable plot.

    Tameka's Smile

  • Mare_Leo

It's a classic werewolf story about a man who finds his soulmate and is ready to do anything for her. He'll fight to tame her, fight to protect her but most importantly fight for her love. Spoiler alert...One of my favorite scenes in the book is when Tameka holds him after he witnesses something awful as a police officer. It was beautiful and touching. Also, his lack of control is too hot to read so ladies you better prepare yourself for some cold showers :P
I, really enjoyed the book and recommend it to everyone who loves a good paranormal romance filled with love, laughter and friendship.

Despite the hot but unbelievable beginning I love this book. It is my favorite of the True Mates Series. Chad manages to be adorably hot, sweet, sexy, and innocent. Tankea is one of the most well defined female characters in the series. I think the story could've done better without the "ghost" interludes, but I can't wait until her sister's story is published.

Tameka's smile by Zena Wynn was chosen by my book club and the book was great from start to finish. This book had me wishing Chad would be my deputy. Tameka's Smile had everything in this book: passion, romance, lust, anger, hate, mystery, drama, intrigue. I am going to read more of Zena Wynn books.

  • Kisha

This is my most favorite book I have read thus far. It had me hooked from the beginning. I loved when he body searched her and later shows up at her house and walks in. Funny. I could read this book over and over and I am usually not one to do that.

  • Maria

This is the 4th book in the True Mates series by Zena Wynn and it is a very well written book. I love this series of books on werewolves and other shifters.

  • Kristin

OMG! The beginning of this book is so hot! The fav in the series!

  • Tasha

Well I definately loved this story and to be honest sometime in the near future I think a story should come out about Bull.... It would be great to find out

  • Jessica

    Love Meka

I love Meka she absolutely hilarious.

I think the only problem I have with chad is the way he engaged with Meka.

I know it suppose to have been a hot scene but it came off with so many issues with me. That just doesn't sit well. Other that I enjoy the book. Love the chemistry between bull and neecee.

  • Courtney

Pretty good! Wolf shifter and interracial read! The beginning kind of threw me off tbh bc it had been a while since I read a shifter novel that starts off like that... other than that, I was very entertained and it was pretty good!

  • monicabrown

3.5 stars: spicy and sweet shapeshifter romance

Chad is a sheriff's deputy in Refuge, the small NC mountain town that consists mostly of shapeshifters. A wolf shifter, he grew up in foster care without the support of a pack and later went into the military. Previously a lone wolf, he recently joined the local pack. He is stunned at his attraction to Tameka and wants to make her his mate.

After the death of her grandmother, Tameka moves into her grandmother's old home and finds work as a hairdresser in the nearby town. She is trained as a psycologist, but found she didn't like the work as well as the hairstyling she did while back in school. To the surprise of her family, she gave up her professional career and went back to what she loved best. Meanwhile, someone doesn't want her claiming her inheritance from her grandmother, and she is being stalked. The sexy law man helps go after the stalker and protects her. She is attracted to Chad, but shocked to learn he along with many of the town members are shapeshifters. Can it work out between them? Are they really True Mates?

This was a spicy and sweet and sometimes funny romance. A good bit of world building around pack life, the town, etc. happened in the earlier books (especially book three), so it's best to read those before starting this one. This book continued the world building around being a werewolf, going through the conversion process, pack life, etc. I liked the setting of the series, since I've lived in NC for many years and enjoyed visiting the beautiful moutain area. The author does a nice job creating characters that hold your interest. The bad guy was a surprise at the end, so the mystery aspect was pretty good too. There's also a secondary storyline that hints at a future book for Bull, another deputy, and NeeCee. All in all, an enjoyable paranormal romance...good beach read.

Meh, this was ok. To be honest I'd ALMOST give it a three, but since there aren't any half or quarter stars, a two is what I'll go with. Done rounding up lol.

Another case of a hero who ends up coming across as too good for the heroine. Don't get me wrong, Tameka is no Royal/Dmitri's Closet, but she's not exactly a rocket scientist either when it comes to relationship appreciation. Some things had me scratching my head as to why the author chose to go there
