Starry Night, Sleep Tight: A Bedtime Book of Lullabies Reviews

  • Donna Wilson

This book was cute for children. There is one poem in there that made me laugh, but it probably wasn't intended the way my perverted mind took it. So, other then my brain being a bit on the strange side, this is a great book for the little ones.

We read the book 'Snuggle up' by Gail Yerill (not listed on Goodreads).

ATTENTION! This book is awesome. I highly recommend it, especially for babytime programmers. It contains simple lullabies to be used with babies, and each page is adorned with small woodland animals. Some of them even glitter.

The only thing that could have made it better is an accompanying CD with the songs, as I did not remember some of the tunes.

***We just got this book in under the title, "Starry Night, Sleep Tight." I do believe it is the same book, just with a different US title, and in hardcover.

This book is filled classic lullabies. There are classic lullabies and there are new ones. Some of the lullabies featured are commonly known as nursery rhymes. They all vary in length. Some are short while other a bit lengthier. This book is more for younger children. In this book, a lot of blue and white is used. The pictures in the book reflect the poem and what the poem is about. Each page and poem is different. A child could most likely read it since it is an easy read. The text is big and easy to read. But overall, this is a good book.

    Review:
Sleepy time rhyming lullabies can be found throughout this book. Fuzzy little creatures are sung to sleep by their mommies and daddies. This is a wonderful book to get your little ones down for the night. Soft colorful illustrations will keep them wanting to read this at bedtime every night.

Frankly, these books are a dime a dozen. The illustrations helped it to stand out some from its competitors, but not by much.
