Alaina Tillman fell in love with Zack Davidson when she was nine years old. Only, things didn't turn out the way she planned. And now, when she needs a refuge - a place to regroup - the abandoned mother-to-be heads straight for Lake Harmony.
Zack can't believe Alaina's here at Heron Cove, the cottage where they spent their teenage summers. Then he was her protector and best friend. But he wants more. He's always wanted more. Is he just setting himself up for heartbreak again?
Living under the same roof is rekindling Alaina's feelings for her former crush. Once, Zack was her fiercest defender. Is he also the family man she's been searching for?
Best for the Baby Reviews

Aliana Tillman finds herself in a position that she has no experience with in her 32 years on Earth. She is pregnant and alone in a hotel, abandoned by her boyfriend Jeffrey without her wallet nor any money. She hitchhikes up to her childhood vacation spot Haven Cove and hopefully the family that she shared those vacations with the Davidson’s. So she is at her absolute worse when she is ‘saved’ by Zack Davidson her childhood best friend and first love. This starts the second chances romance between Aliana and Zack.
This is a difficult situation because she is pregnant with another man’s baby and she is really set adrift in life with no direction, but this story is really about Aliana finding herself and her own path into the future for herself and for her baby. I liked that she really makes difficult choices and even in modern times where it is socially acceptable to be a single mother, she takes the more difficult path so that everyone can find true happiness instead of forcing people into a life that they don’t dream about, just to take responsibility of one mistaken night.
Zack has his own issues and choices to process about himself and his family. A very cute story and well written with angsty flawed human characters in a contemporary romance.

I'm usually wary of ready-made families in romance because it seems so cliche. However, this storyline was different enough to pique my interest. The two main characters' misunderstandings were realistic as was the reconciliation.

seemed to be all the heroine's fault and that's not what I want to read.

This was a pretty good read. If you're looking for something fun and simple, this is the book for you. A good classical love story.
