  Nishi Keiko is one of my favorite authors and she did not disappoint me in this series. Just perfect amount of romance, humor and slice of life is in this manga.
  
  To sum up this is a love story between a woman of late 30s and a man of 50s. By itself that is really amazing, when most mangas are about people in their teens or in 20s.
  
  Publishing companies have been trying produce mangas catered towards more mature women. To one extreme end, there is the “Lady's Comic” which are monthly pornographic manga magazines for women. On the other end, there is manga which are the mature version of Shoujo manga. Once you are over 30, unless the stories and the characters are exceptional, it is extremely hard to be sympathetic to those young characters and in the stories revolving about their love life.
  
  Now in this series, Nishi has successfully blended romance, quirky humor, seriousness and a Japanese woman's POV and life after thirty. Nish is well known for her very unique brand of quirky humor and somewhat lyrical and sensitive story. Although titiled Otoko no Ishou (A man's life), it is really about a woman's life.
  
  The main character Tsugumi is an elite with high education, well paid job but has the tendency to fall in love with the “wrong man.” She gets tired of her life and moves to her dead grand mother's house, where she finds her grandmother's ex student, a fifty something years old university professor Kaieda living in the guest house. The story revolves around Tsugumi restarting her life as well as getting over her fears about loving somebody with Kaieda's loving but very quirky romance.
  
  I read this in a manga kissa but I am going to buy a set for myself.

  んんんん。この漫画にとってどう思う？んんん難しい。
  
  最初はアート、主人公の女の人の絵は可愛い。彼女の目も結構表現している. 主人公の男の方のアートはあまり好きじゃない。ま52歳から当然。彼の性質は疎くてカッコイイ。でも52歳だよ！20年上よ！52歳！彼のクビの肌はもうとっくにおっさんぽい！本当に30代の女の人はそれに好きになる？20年差だよ！
  
  でもまつぐみの場位ちょっと分かる。だから好きじゃないかも、同感からここそ。つぐみは独立し真面目し全部他の人を助けを求めるよりもむしろ自分でやる。まるで私。
  
  だけどよ。20年差！？！まそのおかげでふつうの二十代や三十代の男より成熟よね。

  currently waiting for the rest of the chapters to be available, so my review is for the available chapters ive read.
  
  reading this oyaji manga changed my pace in reading mangas. i actually liked it because it's just simple and straight to the point without going here and there before you could actually tell what's happening. well probably the author did that because afterall the characters are adults.
