I love Wanda so much. She’s always been such a fascinating character to me. Imagine making a special event costume so damn good that they decide to keep her in for her own solo series. Her Hellfire Gala outfit from last year is just amazing and I’m so scared they’ll take it from her. This series is off to a great start and I love that she sits up one of this summer’s events. Contest of Chaos has a good start to it. Excited to see where it goes.

The premise here, whilst not wholly unique, works well and is fun. Wanda comes off as a little pompous but having Darcy in the mix adds some much needed levity. I do not mind the ‘villain of the week’ storytelling but I do hope we can something to really get involved with.

A Steve Orlando book that I didn't hate. It actually started off pretty strong. Wanda is operating a book shop in a small town now that contains the Last Door where those on their last hope walk through and Wanda helps them. We start off with some one-off tales with her brother Pietro, her newer sister Lorna Dane... Then we get to why her assistant Darcy has been hiding out with Wanda. Speaking of Darcy. I have a bone to pick with her design and character. She looks and acts exactly like Zelda from Doctor Strange, down to wearing the same kind of hat. It's very confusing. The book is fine. I don't like how powerful Scarlet Witch is now. She's no longer a mutant and now can apparently do anything with magic including fly effortlessly. Characters aren't very interesting when they have no limitations.

The artwork throughout is excellent. Sara Pichelli and Russell Dauterman draw the regular issues with Carlos Nieto capably doing the annual.

Good newer book. The stories are pretty decent. The art is fantastic. The character interactions make it.

The first 2 issues were kinda boring to be honest however the last 3 were super interesting!
