This book is loaded with helpful pictures and design ideas--precisely what we've come to expect from the folks at Sunset Books. It's broken into sections on floors and walls; cabinets and counter tops; sinks, faucets, and toilets; bathtubs and showers; lighting, heating, and ventilation; and finishing touches. It covers everything from questions to ask and how to create a layout, to universal design (I couldn't help but laugh at their approach to grab bars having literally read this hot on the heals of Mike Holmes' take that absolutely all showers need grab bars). I haven't worked with the DVD yet, which is billed as containing bathroom design software, so may revise the overall rating as a result.

We got a lot of great ideas from this book, and have developed a unique plan for redoing our bathroom. Because of this book, we're going to forgo a vanity and instead go with an antique bureau for storage and a pedestal sink; we would never have thought of this on our own, but it's the perfect solution for our older, quirky home. So this book does give you "inspiration"!!
