Sophia McDonald ran for her life to escape a bad relationship and an unsupportive family. What she didn’t expect to find was a man willing to take her in and keep her safe from the dangers searching for her.

Daniel Whelan moved to Fallport to get away from the big city. When he sees Sophia outside his business, he recognizes she needs help, or something bad will happen.

Daniel offers Sophia a chance to get back on her feet. The attraction takes them both by surprise, leaving them hungry for more of each other. When Sophia’s past catches up with her and takes her captive, it’s a race to find her before the unthinkable happens.

Searching for Sophia (Special Forces: Operation Alpha; Mountain Rescue #1) Reviews

  • SB*needs low angst books*

This wasn't a bad book. I think for me I wish somethings were more fleshed out. We get her dilemma but there for me was no real support in how it came to be and the issues with her Dad and brother either. Then there was also some the abuser did but again what happened. It's relationship focused but we don't really learn about either one of their backgrounds. So it made the read less satisfying to me.

    great start

This book drew me in from the start, it has pathos, an endearing heroine and noble hero. The first half was lovely and flowing to read but then it seemed as if another author took over and the writing became slightly clumsy. The ending seems rushed and lacks detail despite being a good plot point, Alamo’s as if the author ran out of time. Very disappointing really. Editing should be redone and this would become worthy of being part of this series.

    My opinion only

This one was boring and slow moving no drama at least exciting drama I just couldn't get into it. There was nothing in this story that grabbed your attention, even the main characters were boring. This is only my opinion. And it had to many chapters for such a slow moving book. The rest in the series were good don't know what happened here.

    Good read

This was a good book. It was a bit slow in the beginning, but overall it was an enjoyable read. It’s probably not a book I will add to my re-read list, but it was a quick easy read.

Sophia is running from an abusive ex. She ends up in Daniel's town. He could tell from the way she looked and acted she was on the run. It was steady reading, action towards the end. HEA.

I really enjoyed reading this exciting, quick read. "Searching for Sophia" is a good addition to the "Special Forces: Operation Alpha" series.
