Iron Man Epic Collection, Vol. 18: The Return of Tony Stark Reviews

  • Anthony Wendel

I'll admit this review is a little biased. This collection contains the issue where I came in as an Iron Man fan and started reading the regular series. It features moments I still think about, such as Tony's work to reclaim his life after faking his death. It also features some special issues including the first appearance of Squirrel Girl. Considering how epic a character she went on to become that should make this a 5-star review alone but I'll meet in the middle and make it a four.

Very disappointed with this trade. If feels padded out. I wish they would have left out the back up marvel superhero stories with Iron Man. The art is pretty bad and the stories have nothing to do with the current story of Tony coming back from being "dead." At least they reprinted the hard to find Iron Manual.
