🖊 My review: I expected a collection of light stories to see what seniors are inclined, or suggested, to read. Instead, I found a book filled with rehashed news articles that were neither funny nor stimulating. If the senior reader was keeping up with the news all along, there is no need to pick this up; and these news articles are easily found on the Internet with their sources.

Also, I would surmise that older readers would find the title a bit patronizing, as if older people need easy-to-read books. (And here I laugh heartily.) "100 Uplifting Short Stories for Seniors: Funny and True Easy to Read Short Stories to Stimulate the Mind (Perfect Gift for Elderly Women and Men).” Holy moley.

I share the following excerpt from this book:

🔸No more Confederate names for army bases says Senate Southern General Robert E. Lee’s time is up. The Senate overwhelmingly approved a defense bill in 2020 that included Senator Elizabeth Warren’s (D-MA) provision requiring the U.S. military to rename its bases previously named after Confederate army generals. The bill passed by a resounding vote of 86-14.

That fact alone is horrifying and illustrates the suicidal abyss the United States government is attracted to these days.

Therefore, taking into consideration the premise of this book, I find this, and many other news stories in this book unfunny and rather alarmingly odious. 🗑 Pas pour moi. Conversely, other readers may find this rehashed news article book their cup of tea and right up their dark alley.
