    Recommended!

    Apart from rubble and damaged streets, with asphalt torn up by explosions, the town was gone. As they reached the old central district, where the courthouse had been, they found a dozen streetlights still standing. Hanging from each was a decomposing human body, which included three women and two children. All were naked and had been used for target practice. They had cardboard signs pinned to their chests with steel spikes, saying, “Death to Marauders.”

    Better read than the first book. Though there were sexual references, the language wasn’t as stilted with the first one. I agree with others’ comments that it can be hard to keep track of characters. I was also curious about what happened to Jason’s ex and the boys’ mother. Curious why there’s been no mention of her.
