    ✨ The Emerald Truth ✨

    ~ Multiple POV
    ~ Found Family
    ~ Touch her you die

    ✨ My Thoughts ✨
Oh man... This book was just everything. I absolutely love book one and book two was just as great. I absolutely swooned over a certain character... I won't say much because I don't want to spoil anything. I truly loved the found family in the book. Giselle definitely grew a lot in this book and truly enjoyed reading her journey. I enjoyed the spice and banter in the book. It felt right for the characters. I absolutely loved getting a new POV from a few characters. My heart was beating so fast at the end. I'm still not over the ending. I can't wait for book 3.

The Emerald Truth is book 2 in the Nimra' World series. I really recommend this series if you need a fast pace but higher fantasy read.

✨ I want to thank Melanie for giving me an ARC copy of this book. These are my honest and true thoughts. ✨

After quickly finishing book 1 in Melanie Davies' The Nimra World Series, I was excited to receive a copy of Book 2, The Emerald Truth. Since this is the second book in the series, I will warn readers that this review will contain spoilers so proceed with caution.

In The Emerald Truth, Davies picks up right where she left off in Book 1 and the action and pace never let up almost from the beginning. We find Giselle and her group of found family, on a path of discovery and spiraling towards a much anticipated conflict with Giselle's father, whose reign of darkness is spreading.

Rocked by the pain of loss and betrayal from her closest friend, Giselle finds herself imprisoned back at home and face to face with the father that has stripped away all that she loves. There Giselle must face the demons of her past, whose grip on her she must break if she is ever to embrace the future she's destined to claim. As the days pass, Giselle wars with herself to not give up on those who need her most but the pain of grief threatens to drown her as she longs for Shadow's company and quiet strength and continues to mourn the loss of her murdered mother.

Soon enough, Giselle's friends come to her aid and a bold rescue finds our group in the land of the elves. I really enjoyed getting to know much more about Quiver, or Alexander as he's formally called amongst his people. While he was a minor character in Book 1, Quiver becomes a fantastic source of comedic relief in Book 2 and it is his influence and standing in the elven royalty that allows Giselle to rally allies in that world to her cause. His steadfast friendship and belief in Giselle is something that she comes to rely on and value.

(Mega spoiler ahead) Giselle is amazed to find that Shadow survived her father's attack and readers are rewarded with a reunion between these two that has them finally laying their hearts bare to one another...not to mention a little bit of spice which was long in the making. Shadow continues to demonstrate that fierce devotion for Giselle that we loved in book 1 and now with the freedom of knowing she loves him in return, he holds nothing back and will do anything to make sure nothing hurts her again. We also learn more about Shadow's origin and how his destiny and fate are closely intertwined with the prophecy proclaiming Giselle's rise to power.

As lines are drawn and sides chosen, book 2 reaches a peak as the King's actions threaten not only war but also awaken a dark, primal force that has been dormant too long and waiting to enact its own evil dominance. As in any conflict, the war to keep Nimra out of the grips of darkness means that many will fall and do fall in this book. Once again, Davies leaves us on a delicious cliffhanger as our heroes scramble to react to what this new danger will bring.

If you are looking for a fast paced, fantasy series with a fierce but relatable heroine and a found family filled with diverse and devoted personalities, then pick up The Nimra World series. I look forward to book 3 and to seeing what lies ahead for Giselle and her friends.

4.5 stars, rounding up to 5!

⚔️"I will be yours even when this world is long gone, when the fires of the Netherworld are extinguished, and we are just stories on a page.. I have always been yours."⚔️

The Emerald Truth is book two of the Nimra World Series, and oh my goodness, this book is so good! It's got fast-paced action and fighting, witty banter, a whole lot of Giselle's stubbornness, and a little bit of spice thrown in!

This book takes place immediately after the events of the first one, and Giselle has been taken by her father, the wrongful King Xandious, who has been corrupted by dark magic.

⚔️"We cannot let darkness prevail and destroy our happiness."⚔️

Giselle is held captive in her family home, and tortured while her father continues to bring fear and death to the kingdom. Shadowbane is willing to do anything to get Giselle back. They both need to face their past and fight through the trials ahead to win back the kingdom--and get back to each other.

⚔️"If we lose one another somehow, I will always find you. I will always come when you call. Not even death can keep me away. You are a part of me, I can feel you in the depths of my soul, through every breath, every beat of my own heart. It beats for you. I was made for you."⚔️

Like the first, this book also ends with an incredible cliffhanger, and I am so excited for the third book to see what happens next! 😍

Thank you Mel Davies for sending me an early copy! I enjoyed this book so much!!

The Emerald Truth is book 2 in the Nimra World Series and pulls you straight into the action from the opening moments....no small talk made, just head first into the plot, which I loved.

Melanie Davies has built an intriguing world that comes alive on the page to draw your mind and take you on an intense journey that will have you addicted to the character creations in moments.

The narration moved at the perfect pace to hold your attention and Davies is certainly fond of that all important cliff hanger to seduce you back for more. I'll be back for Quiver...you won't have to ask me twice.

The Emerald Truth is a dazzling display of world building and intrigue...it's definitely something you won't want to miss out on if you're a fan of fantasy served with a side order of sizzle.

The Emerald Truth is the second book in the Nimra World series and from the first word you are in the thick of the story which continues seamlessly from the end of the first book The Sapphire Oath.

    This book has:

    🌟Found family
    🌟Self discovery
    🌟Magic
    🌟Spice
    🌟Touch her and you die
    🌟Multiple pov
    🌟Betrayal

This book has a hold on me and I am gasping for book 3.

Giselle grew on me in this book. Her character development through self discovery made me like her even more. We found out more about Shadowbane which I did not see coming.

    And the cliffhanger 😱

I am going to be thinking about this book for a while.

    Highly recommend this series.

Though not the typical type of book I usually read, I really enjoyed it. Often with differing POVs, reading gets rather confusing, but the author did a great job of focusing on a character a chapter-allowing for the reader to get into that character's deep detail. The characters were very well developed, and loved the spunk and badassery of the female main character! An intriguing book, with a heck of a cliffhanger, so buckle up! Enjoyed this read a lot!

This series is exactly what I have been missing in my life.
It had everything I love in a good read. The female lead is an absolute badass and I really enjoyed seeing her grow in this book. The book is past paced, has great world building and the perfect amount of spice!
The ending has me absolutely on edge for book 3. Can’t wait to read the next ✨
