"All Churched Out: The Weary Wife of the Pastor Book 2" by Denise Cook-Godfrey
My Assessment:
Here's hoping you have read Book 1 of 'All Churched Out: 'The Weary Wife of the Pastor' as this story continues in what is happening in the lives of Leah, Kyle, Rebbie, Pastor Joseph Westchester, Aunt Zelle, and a few other interesting characters. Many questions will be asked during this review that will be answered during your reading of book 2.
We find Leah is still dealing with the sad reality about her mother not loving her and now dealing with and asking questions about how many women her husband Kyle cheated on her with besides her sister. So naturally, we find Leah is 'fed up, angry, and broken.'
What will happen when Aunt Zelle tells Leah to get out and meet people her age? Will this be a good idea as Leah meets Chaka Rowe and Evander? What will Chaka bring to the table for Leah, who seems to be holding on by a thread? As Leah takes a sabbatical from church, what will Chaka offer her that Leah will take an interest in? Is there anyone out there who is trying to help Leah? What was up with these 'healing crystals' that were interesting as Chaka presented this to Leah?
As the story continues, there will be a lot going on [as I have already said], and I don't want to tell too much, but I know there will be lots of questions asked that will be answered during the reading,
as I have already said earlier. For example, what had gone on between Pastor Westchester and the deacon? Was the deacon getting too close to Kyle? Is Leah still getting notes from someone who knows her business? Also, is Leah hooking up with someone? As I said earlier, there will be a lot going on...sit back and continue reading to get all the answers!
As the story continues, Leah is brought into a meeting [3 board members, with her father, Rebbie, and Kyle] at her Aunt Zelle's home, asking when she will return to church, seeing that Kyle would be restored as Shady Hill's Pastor. How will this affect Leah? Will that meeting go well?
What happens as Leah becomes interested in metaphysics, the universe, and crystals? Ok, now is Leah stepping outside Christianity? Why in the world will Leah, who knows of God and all of his goodness, want to know about this? This is how the devil weaves its way into someone's life who knows better. I am left shaking my head due to all that is going on...Is Leah involved with the Evander? Oh my god! Please tell me this isn't so!
Leah wants 'legal separation' from Kyle. So how will that work out?
As the skeletons come out, one wonders what's next because one knows it's coming!
As life goes on, we see Rebbie isn't doing well... You will have to pick up this good read to see what comes of that situation. Next, we find Paster Westchester isn't doing well, as things go south for him. Finally, will Leah ever want to talk with her sister Rebbie, especially after what had happened to her?
Who was this new person that Leah thought she had seen before? Why was Chaka upset with Leah because she didn't like him ... this Zane guy. What will happen when Evander ask Leah if they should take a break? Pick up this story to find out! Will this push Leah to see her sister Rebbie and her father? What will happen when she does when Leah and Rebbie talk about their mother? And what happened during their talk?
I know I have presented a lot of questions that will be answered in the reading, so I will stop here and say for the last time...pick up 'All Churched Out' Book 2, and see how well this author brings it all out to the reader. It will give one a lot to ponder over as we go into Book 3...its ending!
With everyone having their battles of some kind, especially this Westchester family, how will our God intercede for them in the end? -
Temptations & Motives
Foremost, The Word of God will NOT contradict itself EVER‼️ “All Churched Out: The Weary Wife of the Pastor - Book 2 (A Christian Fiction Thriller)” once again was a great read. However, I’m sceptic about Aretha, Evander & Zane. Life application: these three represent the unspoken & unfulfilled desires and or the temptations the world offers as a substitute for obedience to Christ and His Word. Zane though has an ulterior motive! I suspect he is the bitter illegitimate son of the late Joseph “Daddy” Westchester. Why hasn’t Leah or Rebbie asked either Ms Cora or their Aunt Zell to fill in the blanks. Leah (and Rebbie) are both conveniently naïve. Leah why are experimenting with everything and everyone but Jesus. Don’t be misled by all of the wolves in sheep’s clothing leading you astray. Please don’t be hoodwinked! This is a tactic Satan utilizes to distract us and offers temporary gratification from are current circumstances! Leah repent, pray & praise!…READ YOUR BIBLE! Call on the precious name of JESUS! He and His Holy Spirit will guide you and provide a means of escape! -
WOW!!!! All done! Finished the book in a matter of a few hours. I love how the author implemented the actions of letting the reader know the feelings of the characters as they spoke. I felt like I was right there. She’s got me wondering about everybody!!!!! What is Chaka up to? What is Evander up to? Who is Zane and what is up to? Are they working together? Leah is soooo caught up. Help Lord! It's so easy to get caught up and caught off guard, especially if you're moving out of hurt, church hurt, personal hurt or any kind of hurt. It opens you up to all kinds of vulnerabilities. She reminds me of me at times. On the outside looking in, I'm like "How can she be so naive?" but then I'm reminded that I've been there too. Just thankful God never left nor forsook me. I believe it when He says that He looks after babies and fools. I've played both roles. Several times. lol. I have to admit that my personal hand held fan came in handy when reading chapter 14. Lordy Lordy! What secrets did the parents take to the grave? That scripture in 1 Timothy was quite telling. Can't wait to see how this plays out!!!!! Great Read!

All Churches out ( Book 2)
Pastor Westchester and his 2 daughters raised in the church ,their mother died then all problems began. Pastor give Leah's husband pastor Kyle who was a thug so it was real hard for him . Kyle was having a hard time in the church, he was first in love with Rebbie , but unfortunately Pastor Westchester ask Kyle to be with Leah they got married but she was unable to have children . Rebbie and Kyle were in love secretly they had a fling Rebbie got pregnant . Rebbie was unable to keep food in her stomach so the baby died . Pastor Westchester took it real hard when that baby boy died. With all his complication he died. Leah find new organization live with new boy friend. This book is dramatic, a good read. -
Weariness indeed
Man … the drama continues and it’s heavy. Leah’s story is one that happens when people are in a weary state and not getting the help they need. Looking forward to part 3 -
not the best read but I’m invested
The story is a bit predictable. It’s like watching a B rated movie but I’m invested so I’ll finish the series. -
intriguing
I’m curious to see how it will all end but this book was definitely very insightful into Leah and her journey of sifting through her mess. -
The sag continues.............the writing is not the best IMO but I need to find out how this ends. On to Book 3.

Errors
Very good book, the errors took away for me. On to book 3! I recommend this for a nice read.
