Enemies at First Sight Reviews

Hailey & Quinton are in a power struggle for their late father's empire. They meet for the first time at the reading of the will where Quinton returns home after over 20 years away. This was a new author, for me. And am voluntarily leaving my review.

You know those books that make you forget to sleep because you can't put the book down? Yep, this is one of them books.
This was phenomenal, I loved the story and how it flowed so well. How the characters developed throughout the book.
I loved both the MAIN characters.
Quinton disliked Hailey because Hailey has lived the life he and his sister wanted with his late father.
He only went by what his sister told him. So she was imman enemy he needed to get rid of. But little did he know that Hailey was a strong woman and knew her stuff.
Read this book and see how they both fight and annoy each other until the lines start getting blurred. Can they overcome their hate and differences? But when certain truth comes out will their heart survive the betrayel.
Honestly start the book early on the day so you don't lose out on your sleep like I did. Was worth it though. Oh this book had angst, hate, bullying, all sorts of feels, plenty of steam and beautiful love. -
This is an absolutely dizzying story in all of the best ways. From the blurb you figure it is just another in the battle between heirs after a man dies. This included so much more right from the beginning.
The characters have so much depth that just fueled their motives and the story line further. Quinton's layers are shown in their complexity from the beginning. Hailey is the supposed stable one that has to be strong for every reason. Riley is the slow reveal that just keeps adding fuel to the fire.
Getting pulled in different directions, uncovering the truth, dealing with the past, healing and grieving. These three have the reader hooked from the first page. As time goes on things get clearer while the devilish details help make things murky again.
There were a couple of things in the story line that were repeated mentioned that never got fulfilled for the characters or the reader that could have helped in the overall closure of the story. It left a few loose strings.
Fast paced page turner that keeps the reader captivated and engaged.
I received an advanced copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. -
This enemies to lovers book was a great introduction to a new to me author. I enjoyed the back and forth between Quinton, Hailey and Riley. Quinton has one person he’s always protected over everyone else that’s his sister Riley. Hailey spent her whole life working to prove herself and then take care of her father figure when he falls ill. Hailey doesn’t understand why he doesn’t have a close relationship with his daughter Riley and son Quinton. Riley and Hailey have always been adversaries and they tend to see each other and bring out the worst in each other. Quinton has avoided being involved with his father’s company or at his family home most of his adult life. He finds himself drawn back to protect his sister and his interest in the company and estate from Hailey who most definitely took advantage of their ill father. He comes up with a plan to get rid of Hailey and take over his father’s legacy, will things go as planned or will life have other plans. This HEA has me waiting to see what Aimee will come up with next!

Quinton and Hailey don't really know each other, they've heard gossip, and unsubstantiated rumours but they become as the title implies start off enemies, why you might ask well it's because of Quinton's father's will he has left his company to both of them equally. Their feelings are irrational and it's not until they are forced to spend time together that they even begin to see the real person beneath the face they show to the world.
The storyline flows well and the characters are well-drawn, the story is entertaining and at times hot and steamy. Did I like Quinton and Hailey as characters? Well, the short answer is not all the time, I found it hard at first to like Quinton although that did change the more I got to know him and I wanted to shout at Hailey to stop making excuses for the people who treated her badly and to not forgive quite as easily.
Overall I was engaged, and entertained, immersed in a story which took me on a rollercoaster ride where I experienced a wide variety of emotions, for only this author's second book it makes me want to read more from her. -
This was such an amazing read filled arguments, steam and abit of disappointed heartbreak but it got all worked out and everything in this book was so good that I didn't expect any of it happen but it was addictive. At the beginning of this book I find it quite harsh how they treat Hailey and I felt so hurt for her and the way they both think of her and treated her so badly. I literally feel for her and I enjoyed the little wars between Hailey and Quinton it was so funny watching them both go head to head with each other until the spice caught up with them and they couldn't deny each other anymore. Hailey is so hardworking and caring and wouldn't let anyone beat her down because that is what Reily is so good at doing to her and try to turn Quinton against Hailey but he had his own turn with her and it was from steam to trying to frustrate her with his moves. There is everything so right in this story for me. I kinda wanted to see them have kids but maybe in the future this author will show them together. Love this so much.🤍

Quinton is shocked when his father passes away suddenly. He is away and does not know until it's too late. He comes to his father's company for the reading of the will. He and his sister, Riley, are even more shocked when they find out that their father split the company between Quinton and Hailey, a younger woman that their father practically raised as a daughter. Quinton decides that he's going to seduce and then make Hailey leave so that he can take over the company. Just one little complication -- the more time he spends with her, the more he likes her. Can he keep with his original plan or will Cupid make him think about a different plan? Read and find out!
I really did not like Quinton and Riley at the beginning of the story. The characters are shallow and spoiled (and act like it too!). When they finally stopped acting entitled, they were actually pretty cool but omg, I wanted to get into the smackdown with Riley that Hailey had too! She deserved it! -
I loved this book! From the moment I started it, i could not put it down until the end. The characters were really well written and they managed to awake strong feelings in me, and that is a testament of a really good writer.
The story deals with the term of family and loyalty, and what can happen when you just let go of preconceived ideas and gossip and get to know the person that is close to you.
I really loved the main characters. She is a strong, very intelligent and kind heroine, the perfect counterpart of the strong and very intelligent hero. Their love blooms naturally, and between mourning and getting to know each other, the most wonderful feeling appears.
It was a really good book, that I highly recommend. -
4.8⭐️ Aimee does it again! 🔥🔥
I love the enemy to lover trope. It’s one of my favorites. Let me just tell you, Aimee Bronson did a great job of making me “hate the enemy.” I really felt for Hailey. Quentin & his sister made her out to be a villain when it was really them that were being awful! The tension made me want to keep reading because I needed to find out how the tension was broken. The way the relationship develops between Quentin & Hailey showed how each character grew & changed. As usual, Aimee writes a delightful story that I don’t want to put down, with super 🔥🔥 chemistry and a great HEA. -
Will Hailey & Quinton cross that fine line between love & hate?
5 star excellence from start to finish. The storyline for Quinton & Hailey captured my attention from the 1st line to the last line. The dynamic between Quinton & Hailey + Quiton's sister Riley makes for great reading. You have tension, drama, rejection & desire. There's a fine line between love & hate, how close are Quinton & Hailey to crossing that invisible line?
Is there a HEA or will hearts be shattered?
Can't wait to read the next book by the author. -
When Hailey’s guardian and mentor dies she is heartbroken. But when his estranged children return for the reading of his will they accuse her of being a gold digger. Quinton returns for his father’s funeral to be told that he is to inherit half of his father’s construction company along with Hailey. His mission is to discredit her and get sole ownership. As tempers heat up so do their feelings for each other.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily -
Quinton and Hailey start out as enemies because of Quinton's fathers will. He leaves each of them one half of his company. They both hate each other until they are forced to spend time together and get to know each other. A believable story with a few complications thrown in. Steamy, romantic and exciting. One of my favorite types of books. I highly recommend it for any one who is a true romantic.
I received this book as an Arc and am leaving a review voluntarily. -
Received as an ARC this is my review: Another great book by Aimee, and I highly recommend this read!! Story catches you from the first..enemies Quinton and Hailey are thrown together as Co-CEOs of the company from Quinton and Riley's Dad will when Ralph passed. Riley is a character you will love to hate...until the end. The journey of Quinton and Hailey was such great writing..I couldn't put the book down until I finished. You will not be disappointed with this book.

This is a true enemies to lovers trope as Quinton and Hailey loathed each other before they ever meet. Their sparring and trying to one up each other makes this a great, entertaining read. That thin line between love and hate, brings all the feels as they both try to actually get to know each other, and realize that all their assumptions were incorrect.
I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest review. -
The follow up to Aimee Bronson's debut novel has heart, growth and humor. I loved it and devoured it in one setting! The characters are thrown into an interesting predicament and you're cheering for them to work things out. A highly recommended read for a cozy weekend in with a glass of wine, or two!
