I’ve always wanted Kiera Hayes.

This short story is quite steamy and can be used to get in the mood for more. ;-) The main characters have good chemistry and the storyflow is great. Just the right thing for a short, fast and steamy retreat from reality when you need it, but don't have time for a full length novella.

Quick and spicy. Just the way I like it. Our hero here may be a borderline stalker but it is what it is, I guess. With the length of this novella and all. Hope to read more by this author.

Julie Thorn adds to her Primal Kisses series with One Hot Summer Night. Like all of the books in this series, these are quick reads full of hot passionate moments. The books in this series are stand-alone and have no interconnections.
They give you an escape with no waiting for the couple to meet or build up to them making a connection. They want each other so much nothing stands in their way. Sometimes they don't do things the way they should but they end up with the one they can't live without.
One Hot Summer Night hasn't been my favorite in the series but I did enjoy it.
If you like a quick read that gets right to the good stuff then try Julie Thorn's Primal Kisses series.

Kiera has been a camp counselor at Camp Blue Maple during summers off from her teaching job for years. During that time she had a crush on fellow counselor and teacher Derek Halifax, despite that she has had a boyfriend. Now though after finding he cheated on her she's single.
A tradition at camp is the last night a counselor is given a night off and can select someone else to get a night off also. Kiera really wants the night off but Derek's name gets called out and when he chooses Kiera she's not sure why. They've always been friendly but never gotten close.
Derek has just found out that Kiera is no longer with her boyfriend and winning the night off is giving him a chance he can't pass up.
"I have something that I need to get off my chest," I announce. "What is it?" she asks, her eyes widening with shock. I don't answer her. I just crush my lips against hers and cup the nape of her neck. She doesn't push me off and I take that as a good sign. And the best part is she's kissing me back now. Kiera. My Kiera. I've wanted her for so long.'
Now he has his chance he's got to hold on to her and never let her go. But when her ex shows up the next morning it could all come crashing down.

Ugh sooooo cringy!! Dialogue is TERRIBLE, I wanted to DNF but luckily it was a super short 30 minute read.
Spice was good, it’s mostly the entire book…if only they wouldn’t talk so much- it would be way better.
Minimal plot, and MMC is a huge stalker it’s weird he never made a move before now. Then he takes it to a whole new level and considers entrapment. Then they agree to take things super slow…. this guy is all over the place…
Mainly my issue was the cheesy dialogue but this is my second time trying this author and both were a big 👎 so I’m done. -
Last night of camp, camp counselor Derek won the night off and picked Kiera to join him. Knowing each other for several years, Derek has had feelings for Kiera, but the timing was never right. Now that Kiera did not have a boyfriend, Derek was going to make his intensions know.
This is a fast read with hot moments that make you want to melt, a bit of drama as over pompous ex come around and the HEA that makes you smile.

Quick and Spicy
This was a quick, juicy insta-love book. Derek and Kiera were both attracted to each other and when the opportunity presented itself they both took full advantage to explore one another. -

I really liked this short friends to lovers story. It was entertaining and enjoyable. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. Ben was lame and deserved what he got. Derek and Kiera were friends that had worked together as counselors at the same summer camp for years. Derek wanted more than just friendship with Kiera but she had been in a relationship. Kiera was attracted to Derek but hadn’t acted because of her relationship. They were able to spend some time together, just the two of them, which prompted secrets to be shared. I loved their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book.
