Storm: Radical. Reformer. Monk. Lover. The Surprising Story of Martin Luther. Reviews
-
A fascinating novel about the beginning of the Protestant Reformation. This told the story of Luther and Germany from 1517 until 1526. The description of battles and towns are grounded in my knowledge of German history and I could imagine the countryside and towns as they were.

Well written and historical correct, nice reflection on the revolt and start of a different view on God.

There are some amazing people in history and Martin Luther is one of them. (I'm not even Lutheran!) I am so amazed by people that can blaze their own trail. Luther had a vision and was willing to go through any struggles to see it through! This should be required reading in college religion classes just to have a good understanding of our religious history. Sad to think that so many religious leaders used their power for their own riches. This is one to read to broaden your horizons about life!

Storm is a great, if overly long, fictional biography of Martin Luther. For anyone who happens to be curious about one of the founders of the Protestant movement, this is worth reading, as long as you have plenty of time.

Although a novel...brilliant and quite informative, especially on some of the early practises of the RCC, such a 'spiritual indulgences'......ie buying days off purgatory!!! Yikes.
