Fake Enemy Fiancé (Billionaire City Slickers) Reviews

Dawson and Alexa are enemies because of dealings that their parents had together. They are talked into pretending to be engaged by their fathers. Almost from the start there is sexual tension between the two of them. This is quite a setup for a good story with spice and banter. The way the relationship builds between the two of them is realistic.

Dawson and Alexa are at odds with each other thanks to their parents. When Alexa learns about what her father had done to the company, she had all attentions of running she is devastated and mortified when she learns about the decisions made to without her input to rectify his mistakes. Dawson learns that his father had purchased his best friend's company to keep it from going under and added on that he had to pretend to be engaged to his daughter for six months on top of everything else. Dawson comes to some stiff conclusions that he finds out later on are not true and as he and Alexa truly begin to bond someone from their past has every intention of keeping them apart. Will their six-month fake engagement turn into the real thing, and will it lead them to a happily ever after? This charming story kept me glued to the pages until the end. It was filled with drama and intrigue all the while having me guessing how it would end! I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.

  • Berta Greenleaf Richardson

Alexa and Dawson were talked into a 6 month fake engagement by his dying father and her father. Hank Cresswell gambled away most of his assets and was losing his business when his dying friend Jonathan Rhodes came up with an idea to save his company and to leave his son something truly marvelous after his death. At first they hated the idea and each other. The sexual tension between them was very steamy and realistic. His ex girlfriend was also Alexa's college friend who had slept with her boyfriend. She kept trying to cause problems but they overcame them. This is a great story with steam, love and commitment. I would have given this book a five star rating except for the typos and grammatical errors which sometimes made for slow reading.

I received this book as an Arc and am leaving a review voluntarily.

4.8⭐️ Enemy to Lover Trope at its finest!
All I can say is hot, HOT, HOT! The heat between Alexa & Dawson almost melted my phone! They were both under the wrong impression of the intention of the other person, but were drawn to each other. I was glad when they finally talked it out. I loved that Dawson pushed Alexa to talk to her dad. I am always happy to get a HEA & this book did not disappoint. 😍 I was also pleased with how few typos there were in the book. I get very distracted when there’s poor editing & I did not have to worry about that here! 😁 I am looking forward to reading more from Aimee Bronson!

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I sat down to read this book, intending only to read a couple of chapters before watching something on TV, well a couple of chapters turned into the whole book and my TV remained dark. Once I started this book

I didn't want to put my Kindle down. The two main characters are perfectly crafted and perfect for each other. I loved the interactions between Dawson, a Billionaire Playboy and Alexa, the daughter of a bankrupted businessman. Both are suspicious of each other's motives but do agree to a sham six-month engagement.

My Fake Fiance - Does Realisation Come To Him Too Late?

I absolutely loved reading Dawson & Alexa's story. Their story takes you through a rollercoaster of emotions. Alexa feels betrayed by her father & Dawson thinks that she is just a gold digger.
Will he realise too late that all is not what he thought.
Do Alexa & Dawson have a chance at a HEA or will a jealous rival destroy it all.

I received an ARC copy of this book & I am leaving this review voluntary.

Received as an ARC this is my review. A good story about two characters being forced into an engagement by their fathers who happens to do business together. As time goes by secrets unfolds, their feelings for each other unravels, drama with an ex brings about the tabloids. Looks as if a HEA is doubtful...great writing by Aimee to keep you guessing till the end!!

  • Jean

Alexa and Dawson are both pawns in a power game between their fathers.
Right from the moment they met words and sparks flew. Great story. Couldn’t put it down.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Fun, sexy, enemy-to-lovers read--FMC is forced to fake an engagement to the son of the man who's buying her dad's company. He's a billionaire... she moves in so there's forced proximity... there's drama with an ex... and you get your HEA: all the tropes you want in a steamy romance!
