I am not a good person.

I'm a serial killer, and I'm done lying to myself. The blood on my hands means nothing to me.

F*ck the roller coaster of emotions, the stalkers, and the drug. The angel on my ass isn't as troublesome as the insane exes trying to steal and kill my mates.

I'm about to become the girlfriend of nightmares.

Situations within the shifter hierarchy have never been more tense.
I'll make them worse before we can fix them together.

There's two things I'm sure of:
These predators aren't used to being the prey, and

I'm Sloane f*****g King.
The Third Devil of Hell,
the High Coven Mistress of Vampyre,
and the Druid's Princess.

But don't let those titles fool you...
I'm no damsel in distress.

Really enjoyed the story of Sloan King and her mates. This book was less adventurous as the previous but it was filled with so much comedic relief. Can't wait for the next one and to be introduced to Palmers family.

  • Denisa

It's still a fun series, and still holds my interest.

I admit, it's turning into a pizza book (it hits the spot, tastes good, but you get over the pleasure of it pretty fast). And a bit too much sex with too many details.

I'm really enjoying the plot though, it's keeping me engaged and wanting to see more, to turn the next page, and go to the next book.

So, if you're looking for a fun, long-ish series with a pretty good world builder and cool, kickass characters, this is worth a try.

In this book Sloan and her mates go head to head with the shifters. The current Supreme Alpha, her dad Charles, is stepping down but in order to do that she and Briggs have to win all the challenges from the other Alpha’s as well as deal with all of Briggs ex girlfriend’s. Once again they are dealing with multiple issues and not enough information to figure out the puzzle. This was probably one of my favourite books so far as we see Sloan finally soften to her mates and you get to see a glimpse of the real girl. I’m looking forward to seeing real emotions from all of them in the next few books.

Sloane is a total bada$$ ... love her so much!!

Okay let me just say that I was dancing when this showed up on my kindle. I freaking love Sloane. This chick is one of my favorite characters. So we know that Sloane and her men are dealing with rogue shifters. It seems like they are trying to keep her and one of her mates from ascending. Here it seems to be about Briggs and her. They need to accept that they will be the Supreme Alpha of the packs. Interesting right? All of Briggs past ex's are trying to get him to leave Sloane and mate with them. Uh Hello, Sloane is possessive as all get out and she has not qualms to killing off anyone. But it seems as though they are figuring out why the mate bond with them all just went in effect knowing that they have been close to each other in the past year. We also find out who else is behind the rogue shifters. We learn more about the others. Sloane is one lucky lady for having all these hot men. Remember Palmer, yeah he does something crazy and so know we have to wait for the next book to see what happens. Yikes this series is amazing!!!

Shifter Situations is the fourth book in the Chronicles of Sloane King and it was freaking awesome. I loved every single second of this dark but funny paranormal reverse harem. The plot surrounding the attacks is getting slightly clearer, the politics are even dicer, all the while dealing with old and new relationships, and Sloane is handling things like the boss she is. The action, magic, and mystery had kept me glued to this story.

Sloane is my girl, while she is just as funny and wicked clever as she has always been, she kinda toned down the crazy in this one. That doesn't mean she wasn't crazy it just means that her demon didn't come out to play in this one but she still did kill a bunch of people. Sloane's ability to control herself, to wield magic, to do what needs to be done is impressive. She doesn't let society or individuals dictate what she should do and when she should do it, Sloane takes action and she owns her actions.

With Sloane dealing with the shifters being taken, challenges to her rule, and while also dealing with this magic drug so of course, people were gonna die but Sloane is handling everything well, with calmness and strategic thinking. The way Sloane thinks is very unique and she tries to always cover her bases while ensuring that the people she cares for are safe and happy.

Speaking of the people Sloane cares for, that circle is getting bigger, more family, Sloane is starting to open her heart more than she realizes. My favorite part is the new connections that form in this book, there is a certain scene when everyone is gathering outside at the shifter cabin and it just makes me so happy, I love Sloane in that environment, caring, protective, relax, and open. Sloane has a bigger heart than she cares to admit and the mating bonds that she is forming with the guys are proving that they are developing fast and are strong. Each guy has his own thing going on, has his own issues but as a group, they work perfectly together and Sloane just fits right in, she belongs, the dynamic just works. This of course being a shifter book means the focus leans a little more towards Briggs and that was great, especially with his hold out on Sloane for so long after his series of bad relationships. Briggs and Sloane may have mated in the previous book but their bond grew stronger in this one and more information about Briggs's past has come to light and there were a couple of surprises that I didn't expect.

I finished this book in one day, I couldn't put it down and time just flew by. The story is great with the characters' funny banter, the mystery surrounds the drug, the attacks on Sloane, and all the steamy bits, not to mention the messy politics. Sloane has to deal with the shifters and whoever is causing trouble in the supernatural community without ruffling too many feathers. However, the more Sloane and the guys investigate the more they are starting to see the bigger puzzle but there are still so many missing pieces. I had a few theories about what was gonna happen in this book but I have no clue about what's gonna happen in the overall series but I'm here for it Also after the events in this book I am wondering if there will be a spin-off series, I am very open to that idea. I would love to see those characters in their own story, with guess spots from Sloane and her guys.

The Chronicles of Sloane King is the book series that I have always wanted and the fourth book, Shifter Situations just proves that to me even more. A female character who has her issues but is still smart, funny, strong, witty, and powerful in so many ways. Men who love and support her, who are willing to do everything in their power to stay by her side. The story has strong family connections, complicated supernatural politics, all wrapped in a supernatural mystery. Plus there is the mystery that is Pete, I love the Padmar but something was brought up and now I have one big question that I want to be answered. Shifter Situations was great, I loved every single moment of it and I am beyond ready for more. Things are always interesting and are slowly pulling together, and after reading that epilogue I can't wait for Mage Massacres.

M.F. Adele keeps me coming back for more with this series! I absolutely adore Sloane and how unapologetically herself she is, and we get to see even more of that awesomeness in this book. Her darker sides truly get to shine and those devious, psychotic moments are probably my favorite parts. But even with the light side of her not being the front man, she is incredibly selfless and protective when it comes to those she truly cares for: her treasures, the people she would sacrifice everything for just for them to be safe and happy. The proof is hidden under her feet. Emotions aren't her strong suit by any means, but we really get to see her slowly come to terms with her feelings for her mates and everything they are going through together.

What is so crazy for me to think about while reading is that less than a month has passed since the beginning of this story. There has been so much action and different things going on all at once, the list of actions to be taken only growing more as time passes, that it is hard to believe that things are happening so quickly. This group can't catch a break, but I'm enjoying every moment of it as they follow the clues and try to find everyone involved with the drugs that have been distributed and to also find any missing paranormals that are being used to test out the drugs. "It's a puzzle that came with a thousand pieces, even though we only needed twenty-four."

This book comes with crazy action, vengeance, steam, humor, mystery and a phenomenal storyline that keeps you guessing! I can't wait to see what is in store for Sloane and her mates in the next book!

    DNF - quit at 54%
Other readers might like this continuation, but it just wasn't for me. I can't pinpoint exactly what happened, but I just kept loosing interest & wanting to stop reading (at least 6 times) before even reaching the half way point. This book moved so slowly, and the jumping from person to person for point of view -with each chapter (and some were short chapters), was enough to make me dizzy, not to mention it made the flow disjointed as there were too many points of views that didn't seem to flow well together in this book. I also didn't feel the "connection" or "love" or even "lust" between the 6 guys & Sloane, not even a slow burn effect. I felt it more in previous books. There's a lot of stuff that doesn't make sense or seem to work in the plot, but seemed more like "busy work" trying to add to the word count or something. Some of the stuff going down just seemed boring after reading the first 3 books in the series. And after book 3, I was looking forward to this one, so I'm disappointed that it turned into a DNF for me, but there was no way I wanted to keep reading this. Needless to say, I won't be continuing with the series...

At my age (approaching 60), life is way too short & my time is too important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.

    Alright. Here goes nothing....

SO. I had not finished a book in over a month when I finally got my hands on Shifter Situations and, let me tell you, I was scared. I've been in a reading rut and nothing was doing it for me but MF Adele never let's me down and I WAS HYPED.

Started the book, tentatively dipping my toes in, not wanting to rush a good thing and risk DNF-ing the way I had at least twenty other books in February.

It's going well. I love Sloane, I adore Jack and Hyde, and Sloane's men? Swoon. Forget about it. I'm in.

Day two of reading, going FANTASTIC. The twists, turns, the HEAT. Oh boy. I'm here for it. All of it. Her murder-y tendencies? Yup. Into it. Her filthy thoughts? Diggin' it. I'm all about Sloane King being a bad*ss.

Anyway, day two quickly morphs into 3am of day three and I only had 20% left so I WASN'T GONNA LOSE STEAM NOW. Might as well finish strong, right?

Ugh. MF Adele hits me in the feels and always leaves me wanting more. I'm crazy about this series, this harem, the side characters. I need all the words.

This book includes Glorious s*xy times, reverse harem, introduces MM into play, add in some gruesome kills for my girl Sloane, and a friend group I'd gladly join any time and you have a taste of what The Chronicles of Sloane King has got going on.

You Hurt My Mate, You Get Tortured and Killed

Idly, I wondered how many bones I could break in Anna’s body before she passed out from the pain.
If the adult human body had two hundred and six bones, and I factored in the higher threshold for pain within supernatural creatures... then maybe thirty-eight?

I might have to start with the smaller bones to hit that number.

The task itself sounded like an exhausting amount of work, but it was a great idea for an eternity of suffering.

No matter how I killed her — or if torture was involved — I wasn’t leaving North Fork without her soul. I’d gladly release some of the others I was hoarding to make room for hers.

As long as the Underworld stood, her punishment for hurting my mates would too.

Would it be too terribly tasteless if I took a picture with her lifeless body to frame and set it next to her little glass case in my collection?

Also, would it be inappropriate to keep her skull and paint on it? Nothing pretty; I just felt the need to continue fucking with her after she was dead.

I needed to befriend a necromancer or ask Stone to call his friend. I’d pay him to bring her back to life so that I could kill her multiple times. Maybe the necromancer had an hourly rate.

  • Charlotte Battersby

Another fab book in the series! I really love Sloane and her guys, they are always relatable, easy to get attached to and adore how murder happy Sloane can be! We got to see characters we met in the previous books make an appearance and find their special someones which was great to see! Sloane and Jack causing trouble together never fails to be funny.

We got to finally see the problems with the shifter clans this book and trouble never fails to be found by the gang. We get to meet some of Brigg's exes which you can imagine sends Sloane into murderous thoughts. We get to see Briggs and Sloane bond more during this book but never taking away from development with her other guys.

I'm excited for the next book already and plan to buy all of this series in paperback when possible! 100% recommend this series!

  • Charlotte

I cant praise this series up enough. Its just too good or at least i think so. Every book is just better than the last one. Sloane King (FMC) is just a bad*** character, full of attitude, sarcasm, wit & wise cracks but fun as well as funny. She also not afraid to get a little bloody if its called for. I love how she takes control and doesnt really need any of the guys or family but they back her up regardless. Which is needed in this book. Especially with all the shifters and all of Briggs Ex-girlfriends. You do manage to see more of Sloane's heart towards the guys in this book though. I loved how Blaire, Ripley and Hyde get a little action but im hoping that we get more book time with them. Im dying to find out more about them and their guys, hopefully?? This was a cracking read and i cant wait for Mage Massacres now

  • Karissa Kirk

I can’t get enough of this series! I love Sloane and all her crazy tendencies. The banter in this book...I loved it! It had me cracking up early on in the book and just off and on through the rest. I really needed it at the time. Things have been crazy since book one and nothing has slowed down since. I love seeing her relationships grow in each book and she’s much closer to them after what went down on pack lands. There’s never a dull moment between all the events happening in the book and the steamy moments with the men. I absolutely love this series and can’t wait to read the next book!

  • Krystle Schwer

    Sloane Ruled That Pack!!

In this book we are headed to the packs. She has to deal with all of Briggs EX’s and other troubles. We see her grow and learn to expect her feeling or acknowledge she has them even tho they been together for a short period of time. But the more this story unfolds the questions I get on what really going on and if all of it connected or is it just a distraction from what’s really going on. I can’t wait for the next book to get more of the puzzle pieces of this story.

  • Danyelle Williams

Can't wait for the next one

Another good book in the series. I keep being drawn more and more einto this world and let's just say I love it here.

Sloane and her guys are still trying to figure out whats going on and doing some killing along the way. 😉 What really makes a good book is when you don't only love the main characters and her guys but all the side characters as well. Jack, grim and the drake...I just can't get enough of there story as well.

Can't wait to see what is figured out in the next book and who else we get to kill.

  • Angie Cottingham<span class=

Eeek!!! I was on the edge of my seat waiting for this book. I LOVE Sloane so so much. This book did not disappoint. I love how all the books tend to focus on one of the men or their species and how we get to watch the relationships grow each time. I still claim Novak as my favorite male character, but Briggs steals my breath away with how caring he is toward his woman and his brothers. Gah!! The feels are so very real. I can't wait to see where the journey leads them all next.

  • T.P.A.

It was nice getting back to Sloan King and her partner after a short break.
The shifters' realm is jam packed with action and intrigue. Many questions still remain unanswered as to Sloan's mother sudden disappearance and of course the biggest question of all... who is behind the plot against the supernaturals.
What I really like about this series is that as the main protagonist shifts realms, we learn more about one of her men and their backgrounds.
    Another pleasant book by M.F.Adele.

  • Christine Stephens

    Loving this more and more

I am absolutely loving this series more and more. So many questions pop up and I can't wait for the answers as we continue on with this journey with Sloane and the guys. This book is so hot in so many ways. You'll definitely want to read. I can't wait for the next book and am so excited for it.

  • Dominique

It feels like it's been forever since I've gotten to bask in the wrath of Sloane King. She is seriously one of my favorite female characters to date and I read A LOT. Shifter Situations has everything I love in a paranormal RH. Psycho characters, lots of action packed scenes, and steamy bits that are H-O-T! I loved every word of this book and I can't wait for Mage Massacres!

  • BookishLeoReads

I cannot get enough of this series! Sloane is back to kick ass and take names (or souls) with her mates. I love how their mate relationships are evolving in such a short amount of time without taking away from the plot of the story. A. Moore and Raguel better watch out because Sloane Effing Kng is coming !

  • The House Wife's Secret Library

I was really skeptical about reading this book and had it very low on my to-read list. But I am happily disappointed with myself. I LOVE this series. You quickly fall in love with the characters. Medium-ish burn. And a nice balance with plot/characters/love development/sex/and more. Cant wait for all 7 to be out!

  • Jennifer Bishop

This series is amazing! I swear, with each book it just gets better and better! I didn’t think I could love Sloan and her men any more than I already did, but this book proved me wrong! Action, intrigue, sexiness, and so much more! If you haven’t read these books, you are definitely missing out! I consider this a Must Read, and I will be excitedly awaiting the next book!

  • Jasmine Hoisington

Sloane King is one of the craziest bad@ss FMC I have read in awhile and I love her!

This series started great and has not let me down with any other installments yet. The world building blows my mind!

The guys in the harem are all amazing, I don’t have a favorite. I guess that is why we read RH right?!?! We don’t have to choose!

  • Kelly Bugler

    Brilliant book. Love this series!
Sloane and her men are up against the shifters. The supreme Alpha is stepping down and Sloane and Briggs are having to step up to the plate. But more than challenges surface,,, all of Brigg's ex's seem to be popping out of the woodwork.
I love all the characters in this book and felt we got closer to the.
Brilliant read. Cant wait for the next book.

  • michelle rivera

    Love this series!

I know I have said it before, but really, I love this series. Intriguing and fun with some seriously bad ass characters! Ms Adele has an amazing imagination and I think it's fantastic that she gets to share it with us, the readers. I can't wait to see what happens next. Crossing my fingers and hoping we don't have to wait too long😉
