Deception (The Mystic Series) Reviews
-
Edit, edit, edit! At this point I find I am only reading these books to find out what happens, but in the process of reading, I am often rolling my eyes and find myself scanning the text to just get through it.
Maybe I just read really long books as a norm, but I feel like books 1-3 could be edited down into one book. So many inconsequential things seem to be elaborately described, when a simple turn of phrase would have sufficed. And why, when the bad guy is out looking for us, do we need to pause and go shopping?
Yes, I do care about Layla and want to know what transpires between her, Quin and Agro, but, and this isn't a lack of my patience, I just feel like we could be getting there a lot sooner rather than making another cup of coffee appear and let us know the character is going to go to the bathroom again. -
Oh my ... Sooooo much has happened in this book.
Fin's made his move. We get to know who he is and his intention.
The stranger's revealed.
Farris's gone. Guthrie is promoted.
Agro is getting insane.
Layla's introduced to Quin's friends and they played hockey.
Can't stop comparing it with Twilight's baseball.
But this one IS SO GOOOOD.
How they played it and the rink.
Oh the rink was so sweet. :)
Bonnie has proved to be as thorough as Quin (if not more, but is it possible?)... not one stone unturned. She never once failed to mention Layla sealed her dress before flying or how her grandparents noticed the change in their guestroom.
The guestroom scene just shows how thoughtful the author is. I didn't expect it. But it's there. And I'm glad it is. The grand speech from Layla to Fin. The speech from Quin to Cordelia, his mother.
Oh my goodness. They're so heartfelt.
And as you read through the book....
oh my... I wish the book ended at Chapter 29...
I'd be sooooo in my happy place.
But no, Bonnie had to make sure we didn't forget
there is something dark lurking near Quin and Layla's happy bubbles...
And now I need the 4th book - Retribution. NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
"I love you so much, Layla. It's unreal how much."
oh I LOVE Quin. He's too good, he's unreal. ;) -
B.C. Burgess' "Deception" is the 3rd novel in her magical (pun intended) Mystic Series. The story of Layla Love and Quin picks up where it left off in Impassion, Layla and Quin asleep in each others' arms, after declaring their feelings for one another. Soon after, their relations develops even further, though Finley's constant pressuring of Layla to leave Quin and join with him is a necessary itch needing to be scratched, sooner rather than later. Apart from Finley's obsession (yes I feel quite justified calling his fixation on Layla Love just that), love in its various forms are abundant in this installment, as they are in its predecessors. Hell, every other emotion makes an appearance as well. Honestly, I don't know how Burgess does it: love, hate, lust, desire, need, trust, suspicion, loyalty, envy, and a plethora of other emotions all woven intricately into this story, creating a tapestry so rich, you can't help but gape in awe.
Layla Love (ok, I thinks it's obvious I enjoy calling her that) is truly is an angel at heart. She feels the pain of others as if it's her own, and does all she can to ease what pain she can, feeling worse when she can do nothing. This is classic Layla because feeling fault for the happenings of her coven is something she seems to have no control over. This only makes her character shine evermore. What's not love about a woman who wants everyone around her to feel love, security and joy?
Quin sets the standard so high, I feel inadequate compared to him (I'm aware that he's a fictional character; that doesn't lessen the blow that he's what every woman dreams of in a man). Though, Layla Love is the one woman who he devotes his life to pleasing and she complains no more than any sane woman would with a man like Quinlan on her arm. He lives to please and protect her, and aches when he fails to do either. Layla's "thorough hero" is the definition of a real man and every fiber of his being is Layla's do with as she pleases.
Of course where would a review be without mentioning the most adorable character in the series: Alana! I can't get enough of her sweet and lovey nature. I wish she was my little sister; she's so much fun to read. I love how the "W's" come out in almost everything she says; it's undeniably cute. Who couldn't love a little dove such as Alana?
I cannot get enough of B.C. Burgess' Mystic Series and once I'm finished with the newest book, I'm left eagerly (and impatiently) awaiting the next installment. Burgess has the unique gift to grasp your heartstrings and play with them as you journey through life with Layla Love, Quin and their coven. Their heart-wrenching pain is your own, but their otherworldly love is as well, and if I didn't say so myself, they complement one another in a way I never thought possible. Through the pain, the love and security is made that much more real and appreciated. Burgess is now officially the author to top on every one of my lists! -
I was so excited to read the third in the Mystic series. Bonnie did another marvelous job at sucking you in and keeping you enterained and focus on the aspiring story that Quin and Layla tell.
Deception
Yes I won't lie that name scared me.
What I love and I believe will hold true until the series end is the feeling of Unity in the conven. Families that stick together really are stronger together. There is such a bond here that is so beautiful.
There were so many details that to normal people are nothing but in Layla's new magical world they are such a huge deal. The honesty that the entire coven has and especially the honesty between Quin & Layla! Her grandparents melt my heart time after time. When she was explain the bouquets that spoke volumes to me!
Finley- Oh you Finley you think you YOU of all wizards can one up my Quin. Think again buster. Try and try and try which will only end in defeat. Ha....boy was I right!!!!!
Layla & Quin are by far two of the best couple I've read about. I forget that it has been only days since they have met and fell in love. But when destiny, magically or not, gives you a couple like Quin & Layla everyone will want what they have. They can't deny what their past means and can't deny how perfect they are for each other.
This book instantly has me worried. Argo has come extremely close and I'm dying to see how this will play out.
PS- Do not tell Layla no coffee!!!!
"No coffee" hahahaha -
B. C. Burgess has done it again!!!!
Deception was just as good, if not better, than the first two books in the series! I came across a couple of spelling mistakes, but nothing bad enough that affected my reading of the book. I
absolutely love reading this series! Layla & Quin are such strong characters and their parts are so well-written! There were a few twists & turns that I didn't see coming, although there was at least one twist that I kind of expected but it didn't go quite the way I thought it would. The entire plot and characters are so well developed, I can't wait for more! From the way that the book ended, I can't wait to see what happens in the next book!
DISCLAIMER: This book was gifted to me by the author (through the Goodreads) website in exchange for an honest review. The opinions expressed here are my own, and no money or other compensation was provided for this review. -
I absolutely LOVED this book and LOVED LOVED LOVED the ending!!!!! I cannot wait until the next one!! I just wanted to keep reading and didn't want the book to end. B.C. Burgess needs to hurry up and finish the next one I'm ready to continue the journey with Layla and her new life!!!!! Cannot not wait to read what happens next! I was on the edge of my seat with this one. Burgess is a wonderful storyteller and her stories just keep getting better!
-
Holy hell I knew it! I'm so in love with this world that B.C Burgess has created. It's so detailed and dreamy. Besides the whole people wanting to take Layla and all. I loved the ending of this one. I know the fourth one is out but I'm scared to go read it. First because I like the little happily ever after for now we were left with and because who knows when the fifth will come out. My heart can't take much more torture through Quin and Layla...
-
This was a good sequel.
I loved Quin and I enjoyed this read but after 50 % of the book I started to lose interest in the story. -
Re-read: 07.19.15 What can I say, but just fantastic. I'm a sucker for the swoony, mushy love stories where the guy get's the girl of his dreams and vice versa. Love it.
05.31.13
There is simply no waning for this series. Things are getting more intense and the revelations more juicier. This is definitely a love story just like all the other books, most of the books are spent on the evolving relationship between Layla and Quin. I'm jumping ahead here but I just knew it, those two were made for each other, soul mates, no surprise there. What with their instant connection and consuming feelings for each other, not surprise in the least. And to think, Quin didn't expect to ever meet his soul mate.
Talk about obsession, WOW, another one, Finley you are the epitamy of arrogance, insanity, delusions(I know, I know, repeating myself), and obsessive disorder. Yet again, not surprised, figured it out from the last book, Finley is the stranger. I was reading his parts with Layla, after he abducted her, with my mouth hanging open. Finley's character was so well written it was downright scary. I thought he was just full of himself, did not see that mind-blowing delusional aspect to his character coming. However these scenes also made me love Layla even more, the girl had moxie. She was not afraid to tell him how nuts she thought he was. And she fought him and also tried to help herself escape. I've said it before and I'll say it again, always love a heroine who doesn't sit on her ass and wait for the hero to rescue her. Although Quin did come through like the bad ass I thought he might be.
Oh great, Agro, he's like a petulant child. He can't get the toy he want's so he went into a murderous tantrum. He needs a timeout. And maybe Guthrie, his new second, might just be the one to give it to him. It is a shame that Agro can take these children from their parents and turn them into sociopaths like himself. As for Guthrie, not sure how much of a sociopath he is right now but he has a woman in his life, Lynette, who is whispering sweet nothings in his ear that he is in a prime position to steal control from Agro. Might be a bad thing to say but as countless books and movies portray, only the woman behind the man has the power to stroke his ego enough to lead him to his death or make him the most powerful beyond his full potential. I wonder what's in store for both Guthrie and Agro? Will Guthrie take Lynette's advice and will Agro finally be put out of his misery and by who?
Some of the more juicier scenes in this book were the love scenes between Layla and Quin. I was hoping they would just hurry up and consummate their love already. I just knew they would bond and couldn't wait for it to happen, I would have been disappointed if they didn't. Another juicy moment was Layla meeting Quin's friends, those guys are a hoot. So far Caitlyn doesn't come across as deranged but that Meckenzie seems like trouble, the couple already have on lot on their plate to deal with so I hope she won't make a nuisance of herself.
Ahhh, Alana, since her introduction I've been crazy about this little character. She sounds just adorable and every time Layla is around her I keep getting baby crazy from her. I got the feeling she might want herself her own little Alana, or maybe Alana just has that effect on everyone. Really didn't want Layla following in her parents footsteps so soon, by bonding and getting pregnant. Hope Alana's in the next book, can't get enough of her. So their kid would be what? Thrice bonded, or something like that?
Oh my, the Mystic series will definitely be among my most loved. It's a breeze to read, the romance, the funny, lovable characters, and bewitching story keeps me mesmerized. What an intriguing concept about witches and wizards. Oh great, now I have to wait for the next book. -
THE QUINSESSION CONTINUES!!!
Maybe it’s because I read these books around Date Me, but this series (as far as the way it is set out) reminds me of The Keatyn Chronicles, except with a paranormal flair. The way the books pick up where the previous one was left off and that not a lot of time goes by while we are reading along reminded me of how the Keatyn Chronicles plays out. I envision them both as TV shows while I’m reading.
Here is one of the major ways it differs, Layla is a girl who knows what she wants as far as the man in her life. There may be others that express and interest, and there may have even been a little issue in Impassion, but Layla lets everyone know Quin is the man for her and I LOVE IT!!!
While there are still times where I think things are a little drawn out, the action and adventure is definitely a part of this book. I find I’m always waiting to see what is going to be around the next corner. I’m so worried for Layla, Quin and all their family every time we go to Argo’s storyline. I also cringe because I hate him!
I love that we get to spend more time with the family in this book and see what they can do. I also love that Layla seems to be getting more comfortable around her own family. I love that her sad heart is so filled with all of them, even when times are scary and hard, and she feels like she is more of a liability in their lives, it is all out of love for this family.
"We fear losing most what we love most, but you can't let that fear stop you from smelling the roses and collecting your bouquet. That would be the biggest loss of all." - Morrigan
I also love that we get to meet some of Quin’s friends in this book. I am hoping they will continue to play a role as the series moves forward but it’s nice to see that they recognize a difference in Quin (proves his player days are behind him)
For any Quin doubters (are there still any?) this book should solidify for you that it is not just about the girl in his dreams…he loves this girl! The real Layla! And while his persistence to wait until they are “ready” is drove me crazy while reading this book…timeline wise – I do get it. They haven’t really known each other long, and he wants to make sure everything is perfect. Could I love him anymore? I don’t think so.
"I want to provide for you. I want to keep you safe and happy. It's why I breathe. If you're not taken care of, I'm not taken care of."
And the end of this book… *sighs*… While it kills me to have to wait until some undetermined time this summer to get book 4, if it is anything like the previous books have been, it will be totally worth the wait.
Thank you to Jillian Dodd for introducing me to an amazing series and thank you to B.C. Burgess for sharing it with us all! Cannot wait to see how the story continues. -
More fan girl time!!! OH MY GOD! Yes I'm absolutely fan girling! I just finished book three of the Mystic Series and I have to say again, OH MY GOD!
If you read my first two reviews on Descension and Impassion, then you know that I am in love with B. C. Burgess's writing. This story just keeps getting better and better. I was lucky enough to do a tour for book one and I am sooooo glad that I did. I am completely in love with these characters, but let me tell you why...
This story expands as you read. You really get a feeling that the characters are moving and changing as the books progresses. The fact that the romance was very soft in book one and intensified in book two just made me more curious about what would happen in book three. And B. C. Burgess has a way of NOT letting you down.
The drama that this coven faces is ... well, for lack of a better word while my brain is all ga ga, is dramatic. We're reminded that Layla has only been with the coven for a week and not a day goes by that something doesn't happen, whether good or bad. And they equal in drama, the good matches the bad in so many marvelous ways. And the way Layla is able to look at life after she has gone through SOOO much just makes me love her all the more.
Not all of the characters are all fun and games though. I said in my review for Impassion that I wanted to get to know more about Finley. A little less than half way through Deception, I learned that he is just not my type of guy at all. He is trying to do things for Layla, and you might have a different opinion of him, but damn it Finley, she loves Quin! Leave the girl alone! We do find a out a lot more about him in Deception, finally! And he's an integral part of what is going on in Layla's life. The way B. C. Burgess writes his character is absolutely phenomenal. You just never know if you can trust that guy.
My favorite character is by far Alana. This girl... oh my. She is the perfect person to have around when you need to smile. But I think most kids are like that, but Alana just has something about her that really pulls at your heart and every scene with her just makes me smile!
The plot, once again was phenomenal! The pacing of the relationship is a bit fast, even though it spans over three books, it really is only a bit over ten days. But that doesn't stop me from just loving the way the two of them work together. And the pacing of the plot is just as great. You never know what is around the corner, and this book definitely held some surprises!!!
This is definitely an ongoing series and should not be read without reading the first two, and although it ended wonderfully, it is another cliff hanger!! I'll definitely be in line for book three the day it hits those shelves! -
If you were new to the magical world, and you just met someone who makes your heart flutter and your body tingle, but you are being stalked by one magical being and hunted by another, would you just give up and hide? Or would you find you well of courage and draw from it?
Deception, book three of the Mystic Series by B.C. Burgess, takes us directly from where the action of Impassion leaves off. Layla is slowly discovering herself as a witch and a woman. She finally lets go of her worries, and embraces what she feels for Quinn. And Quinn shocks his family and friends when he officially declares that he is no longer on the market. The love and loyalty they have for each other continues to be tested – by a stalker, by dark forces, and by Quinn’s past.
I truly admire how Quinn continues to take of Layla – and is totally in synch with her emotions, her needs. Although Quinn expresses his love for her by giving her everything she needs, I find that it is she is losing her independence and the essence of who she truly is. What I did like was that aside from Quinn, she was forming strong bonds and solid relationships with the rest of her coven. I also loved that she is exploring the extent of her power – granted she was forced to do so under extraordinary circumstances, as a witch, she is definitely getting stronger.
What I would have loved to see less of? Less floating and flying … for me, I lost touch with the humanity of these characters as they floated and flew around a lot, they used magic to make food appear, bathe themselves, and get from one place to another. As I kept reading book three, I longed for an ordinary chapter or scene where they walked, they did things that ordinary people did, and they related as ordinary people. I missed that.
Technically, the book was flawless. There were no misspelled words. The story development was solid and fluid. The characters were consistent and easy to connect with. The choreography of the scenes --action or romantic –was detailed and meticulously described.
This book was packed with a lot of action, yet B.C.Burgess skilfully integrated romance and treachery. There were edge-of-the-seat scenes, and there were scenes that just melt your heart. B.C. Burgess promised a story filled with intrigue, love, family, loyalty and action and she did not disappoint. I’m looking forward to finding out where Layla and Quinn take their relationship, and whether Agro succeeds in his hunt for Layla. Retribution, book four – bring it on!
Deception -
Hopefully, by now you know, if you have not read Descension and Impassion do not read any further. We will have to kick your butt otherwise. Don’t spoil these books for yourself. Trust us they are too good. Now, on to the review!
Deception begins right after the horrible attack on Layla by Argo’s number one man. I was freaking out a little for Layla when she was attacked but am glad she was rescued and luckily magicians can heal really quickly. I love how Impassion ended with Quin and Layla admitting they love each other! Praise God its about time! Now if only they could find the time to consummate this relationship we would be estatic.
Unfortunately, Layla’s rescuer, Finley, wants nothing more than to gloat about his ability to protect Layla. Since he has announced that he is double bonded like Layla, he seems to feel like he is entitled to everything and everyone being at his beacon call. He really tries to make a play for Layla’s affections, which does nothing more than alienate him. Layla is pretty up front in the fact that she is in love with Quin and the enticement of power does nothing to sway her.
Layla comes face to face with the evil searching her out. Who will find her first? Argo or the stranger? How will she react to the threat and who will be left to protect the coven?
While this book is full of nail biting intensity and drama, this is still a romantic story unlike any other we have read before. The feelings that Quin and Layla share are so intense it is easy to lose yourself in the story and just feel their emotions. We love that while Quin and Layla are strong individually, together, they seem unbreakable. Their relationship grows by leaps and bounds in this book and it is so refreshing to get to see them enjoy each other in normal, everyday activities. We are introduced to some of Quin’s friends and old flames, which only add to the story.
BC Burgess is a fantastic author who paints the most beautiful vivid stories. It is as if you don’t even see the words on the page, but the scenes unfolding before your eyes instead. We would love to tell you everything about this book, but feel it would ruin the experience for you. Trust us you don’t want to miss out!

Okay... You will NOT get spoilers out of me!
What I will say is that this book is by far the best of the Mystic Series so far! I can't wait to get my greedy hands on book number 4! I know I've got a bit of a wait for it but for now I'll just give you a little bit about this book!
This book picks up literally where book 2 left off. We have Agro still being a total pain in the behind. God how I hate that man! We have Quin taking care of Layla, *wipes drool off her chin* I just have to say Quin is the man! And we have Layla Love! She has definitely come into her own in this book! We still have Finley to deal with in this book. I won't go into anything with him. But I truly hate that man! Egotistical and so full of himself it makes me gag. We do get to meet a few new faces. Quins friends show up in this book, and we get to see how Wizards have fun together. I still have to say that I wuv wuv wuv my little Alana. She is such a sweet and darling little girl!
B.C. Burgess has once again created a hit! These books just keep getting better. And this one much like the last keeps you on the edge of your seat flipping pages as fast as you can to find out what is going to happen. The excitement in this book doesn't stop! And the ending!!! Well you'll just have to read it for yourself to see! I'll tell you this much... nope not spilling a thing other than you won't believe your eyes!!!!
So what are you waiting for? Go grab this series and this book! You won't regret it, it will be the best choice you've made this year!
Details/Disclaimer: An ARC copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review. -
B.C Burgess does it yet again! She captivates readers with her books...to a point where you cannot stop reading.
I don't usually read books about witches and wizards but I am so glad I picked this series to read. It is a magical ride filled with heartbreak, love, family, enemies, magic, passion.
I was happy to find out more about Finley and happy about the outcome. I was getting very frustrated! At that point I also got frustrated with Layla but oh so worth the frustration!
I loved the strong connection between Layla and Quin. LOVE how he is always there for her, protects her and spoils her. I also appreciate seeing how much the coven takes care of their own family. They are selfless and really want to help no matter the pain and cost. It's amazing what kind of bond they have.
My favorite scene was towards the end when Quin and Layla finally come together. MMM Quin. You did awesome!!! I had to read this chapter very slowly because I was waiting since book one for it :D
I love these series because they have the love and passion but they also have a story line, great characters and an awesome emotional roller coaster. One chapter I am happy the next I want to cry. I love authors who give their all!! You can tell B.C. Burgess takes her time and write with her heart, its not just words, its all so much more. -
Never has a fantasy taken me so far into its depths that it has left me weeping. Both tears of joy and tears of utter pain left my eyes as I read this wonderfully crafted work of art. B. C. Burgess has the knack to get you so delightfully wrapped up in her characters that when something happens and a twist of fate occurs you feel your heart-strings tug and you get goosebumps all over your body. As a devout B.C. junkie from the moment I picked up her work I knew that this book would be a page turner, what I didn’t know is that it would affect me as much as it did. And I didn’t know that everyone was worried about me reading it. Why you may ask, this is the reason. I become very attached to characters in books and when something happens to them I jump to conclusions, argue, yell and sometimes dance for joy. Unfortunately in this series I may have picked the wrong character to tangle with. That being said, I have written a fan fic, cried my eyes out, told B.C. she was wrong quite a few times and have decided to form my attachments on a much safer character. If you are looking for romance, magic and a very dark evil that goes bump in the night you just have to open these books. I am on the edge of my seat for Retribution which will be the next in the series. B.C. you have a place in my heart and soul and soon on my body ;^D

Where do I even begin!!?? First, I will try hard not to leave any spoilers. Secondly, "Deception" has proven to be the best book yet in the Mystic Series. Quin & Layla's adventure just seems to be getting more passionate and dangerous at every turn. Especially since book 3 really focuses in on the pugnacious relationships between Layla, Quin & Finley. I must stop any further discussion here as it will lead to many, many spoilers. But I can say that any questions you may have been left with after "Impassion" are sure to be answered with "Deception." But in true B.C. style, as one door of questions closes, another soon opens, leaving you hunger for more. And in more ways than one!! ;-) ;-)
Lastly, if you are not a Mystic series junkie like myself, "Deception" will definitely make you a convert or should I say coven member :) So grab your favorite cup of jo, snuggle up on the couch and be transported into yet another "Mystic" adventure with Quin & Layla. You'll be glad you did :) -
This is a great series about witches, otherwise known as magicians. The story line is fantastic! exciting and intense! I love Quinn, he is so sweet and caring! When it comes to Layla, it was obvious from the beginning that he would do anything to keep her safe, happy and loved! I have to say, I'm glad the teasing finally came to an end! I wasn't sure I could take much more!! ;) (wink, wink)
This book takes you to complete evil, literally making you cringe one minute, to absolute love and beauty, in a matter of chapters. I love how the Author doesn't just show the bad guys, but she actually takes you to meet them and see what brought them to the point they are at. It is strange to actually feel sorry for a few of the bad guys, and hope that things will turn out better for them.
I actually don't usually read many books about witches, they usually just turn out ok for me. These books have most definitely changed my mind. I truly cannot wait to see what happens next!!! -
A great 3rd book in the series! Yet again, as with the other 2 books in this series, I was unable to put this book down. Deception isn't a stand alone book and it starts right where Impassion left off and Impassion started right where Descension left off. You will need to read them all to understand, it's well worth it! This book was truly astounding. Like the other two books in this series, Burgess leaves no detail out. These books just keep getting better and better. I love how I'm pulled so easily into the Mystic world. I laughed with the characters, cried with the characters, and fell in love with the characters all over again. I don't know I will cope having to wait months for the next book to come out! I strongly recommend this series, you won't be disappointed! I look forward to what B.C. Burgess has in store next!
-
At this point I find I myself reading to get to what's going to happen next. I find that I'm often rolling my eyes and find myself scanning the text to just get through it.
Three books in and Layla hasn't started her training. She's the strongest witch in the world and don't know it. I love the book and how we met Quin's friends. But Argo will stop at nothing to get his, as he says. It just seems like it's being stretch to make another book.
This is a wonderful love story. Quin's and Layla Love are great characters in the awesome series. But know I want to see her powers. Argo the warlock will not wait for her to get ready. They taught her done fun things to do that will not help her with what's to come. I cringe when I read about Argo. He has list his mine over her. I would recommend the book just didn't care that much about book three. Well coffee and the next book. -
This has got to be my favorite book in the Mystic series thus far. It picks up right where Impassion leaves us. We get to understand Finley's motives. Of Layla is just a magnet for trouble but Quin is always there prove just how far he will go for his Layla Love. Burgess puts some even steamer scenes in this book bringing the reader to the edge of the cliff and back. I highly recommend not only this book but the entire Mystic series as well. Waiting for the next book will be difficult, so I'll just drink some coffee and wait.

I loved the third in this series. The plot is going interesting places, and it was hard to put down.
Warning - some minor spoilers
The only real complaint I have is that the resolution of the Stranger character was a bit underdeveloped. I wish there had been more there. And, I think there could have been more going on there.
I hope soon, as that Layla will start being her own hero.
Otherwise, then those very minor issues, I loved pretty much the rest of it. I'm already excited for the next one. -
I loved the third installment of B.C. Burgess's Mystic Series.
In her first two books you see a relationship grow between Quin and Layla. Many may say it's too easy and want more bad boy. Well, enter Finley. While he may be the new bad boy on the block, never underestimate Quin for a minute!
The intensity of the drama and the sweetness of the love create the perfect balance for those that crave something different.
Ms. Burgess weaves a wonderful tale that is very well written. -
Loved it!
B.C. Burgess Yet again gets us to fall more and more Deeply in love with Quin & Layla!
Just loved how we get to see their relationship blossom! The characters are well developed and easily make you pick sides on who you want to trust and not trust.
This series is deserved to be read with a full pot of coffee & a Huge smile on your face!
Can't wait to find out what happens next in Book 4! -
I knew it! I knew it! I knew it! Okay- now that that's out... Loved this book even more than the first two and I am hoping I don't have too long to wait for the fourth. I NEED to know what happens with Layla and Quin. And I am hoping they take out Agro and his army and any other wizards/witches that come their way trying to use Layla's power for their own purposes. AHHHHHH! I need the next book NOW!!!
