World Cinema: Critical Approaches Reviews
-
Good text book if you're looking for a brief introduction to World Cinema. It's pretty light on everything outside of Europe/East Asia and not all that detailed on it's analysis of European cinema either. But you'll learn of a few films to watch and a few basic critical approaches to the art of film and the structure of the industry.

A useful brief overview of different national cinemas. Not bad as a starting point.
