The Malaysian politician continues to be a gift that keeps on giving. Hot on the heels of the best-selling Vol 1 of Malaysian Politicians Say the Darndest Things, this compilation is further proof that we don t need to travel far to experience shock and awe. Join us for another dance through some of the toe-tapping delights of the past two decades. Some of the quotes are witty and pithy, others are weird and prickly, and still others are just out-of-tune. If all History lessons were this painless, none of us would have ever skipped classes.

Malaysian Politicians Say the Darndest Things (Vol 2) Reviews

This was on my wishlist for the longest of time so when I saw it sitting alone by itself on a shelf in nearby bookstore i had to pick it up.

I prefer the first to the second. I found the second one not as fierce. Perhaps the politicians had finally learnt that they could be quoted for saying the unthinkable things that they would say.

I like Amir's intro as well as Fahmi Reza's graphics. Very nice those.

This book collect few hilarious words came from politician's mouth in Malaysia. If only the writer added more pages because it's too sad to be ended in mere 15minutes reading. Fun to browse and read, added with cynical illustration (better then 1st volume by the same title).

"They told the ACA (Anti-Corruption Agency) that I have a house in Australia. But they are wrong that I actually have two houses there."

MIC chief S. Samy Vellu, referring to rumors spread by his enemies about his personal wealth. -MALAYSIAN BUSINESS, AUG 1, 1992. - page 35

  • Ahmad Nizamuddin

way better than the debut. what makes it more exciting to be read and looked at is the graphics and the layout by fahmi Reza, a self-taught graphic designer. The concept is fucked-up naive cut and paste. Make you laugh out loud. Worth to be kept!

Buku ni dah lama aku baca cuma belum ditambah kedalam bookshelves. Aku pun dah lupa isi-isinya. Cuma bagus buat mereka yang mahu sedikit humor dalam pilitik.
