This book is the continuation of Scar, and the boys Jagger, Crew and Neo who is still a dick!! Scar and Neo really know how to get under the others skin, knowing exactly which buttons to push. I wouldn't mind if Neo got his own book!!
This started right where the previous book left off. Where right back where the Lawless rule at Boulder Cove Academy as they try and chase down the BCA Stalker whose out to cause harm to Scar and the society. More secrets, more lies, more pieces to the puzzle we seek.
And at the brunt of it all is the two boys wanting to claim Scars heart, and the one boy who hates her with a vengeance and lays blame at her feet for everything that's gone wrong in his life, still with a twin sister lying in a coma, still seeking answers to what really happened up that mountain.
Yet again like the previous book we're shoved down a cliffy so fast leaving us all hanging for the conclusion to all this mess.
This series is so easy to get into, you connect with the characters effortlessly, and it has you on tenterhooks and racing hearts as we get that much closer to the stalker.

Dude! This series is so good! Scar and the guys brought it. I was down for everything. The spice, the mystery, the chase, the lies and secrets. So so good!
Scar is a badass girl. She is gonna make Crew and Jagger work for her attention and affection. Finally things are starting to play out that has this shaping up to be quite the harem. Neo is still... well a cocky, freaking hot asshole. Still determined to make her pay for everything he thinks she's been responsible for. The banter between them was so amazing! They know how to push each other's buttons that's for sure. The underlining sexual tension... it's gonna be an inferno once they give in!!! We did get to see a bit of his softer side when he allowed his walls to drop though. Didn't last long, but it's there just waiting for a sassy woman to bring it out.
We get more of the who done it vibes in this one! Who is the person behind the hooded black robe? New players into the cat and mouse game... who can Scar trust? Who has her back and who wants to take a knife and stab it. Still so much to uncover and mystery to unfold. I devoured this book and didn't want to put it down!
That ending!!! Ugh... I can't wait until I can get my hands on the next book!! -

I’m loving this story so much! The cat and mouse game with the BCA stalker is getting real we get more twists and turns more suspense more spice we just get more with this book! This is another emotional action packed ride in this series and I am so here for it ! I’m obsessed with all of Rachel Leigh’s stories and this one is no different! And OMG after that ending I’ll definitely be counting down the days till the next book releases!

a must read series
I’ve been wanting to get my hands on this book ever since Savage Games and it hit the mark!
We are finally getting some answers and I LOVED the insight we got on Jagger and Scarlett’s past. You start to realize exactly how much this girl means to them and the connection she has with them. Neo is still being super stubborn but we got some explanation for the hatred that he seems to have for Scarlett.
There is still the threat out there and thankfully the boys are starting to believe her and take this seriously. Scarlett is being stalked and tormented and it’s a race against time to find out what is going on.
The mystery of this book has me on edge, I need to find out the entire story. I love to come up with my own theories and I already have a couple on the go.
This book is a little lighter on the bullying then the first one but the danger has definitely ramped up. The last couple of chapters had me on edge and that cliffhanger! I always try to prepare myself for them but the couple things that go down caught me off guard.
I feel like book 3 is going to be the major stressor before the HEA and I’m here for it. -
I love the first book but it was slow for just a bit in the beginning you get none of this with Vicious Lies. Things are amping up with Scars stalker and this book will have you questioning who she can trust and what is really going on at times.
We get so much more of the boys and there side with this book. Does she chose do the relationships intensify you will have to read to find out. I can not wait for the third book to come out. -
This second foray into Boulder Cove has all the mystery, drama and plot twists you are looking for.
I adored the first book and the series and that ending left me hanging and craving for me. This follow up did not disappoint and I cannot wait for November for the next installment - hopefully all my questions will finally be answered

I loved that we got more background and info about jagger! & more chapters from his POV!! I enjoyed book 2 more than book 1, mostly because it’s spicier & the mystery is getting more interesting!

This is the second book in the series & picks up right after Savage Games. The games have come to an end between Scarlett & the guys. A bigger mystery & a bigger game comes to a head. Someone is after Scarlett. The lawless (Crew, Jagger & Neo) are now protecting Scarlett full time, she's living with the boys which not only causes tension at an all-time high, not only with Scarlett, but within the boys themselves. Scarlett stalker is getting closer. Scarlett & Crew are finally back together & they are putting their past in the past & trying to build a relationship. But at the same time, Jagger can't hold back his feelings for Scarlett. More secrets & more of the mystery is really unfolded & while things start to heat between Scarlett & the guys, will they find the stalker?
I loved the first book in the series, I love this one even more. I could not put this book down once I started it, it was a ride. I love Scarlett as always. 👑 I loved Crew & Jagger in this one even more & getting to know the softer side of Crew as well as getting Jagger's POV, getting into his head & learning his history. I loved Crew & Scarlett, they're everything. I loved getting more into the guy's head & not only how they feel about Scarlett, but about each other. Neo still hates Scarlett & vice versa, I loved their interactions with each other. I was living for Neo's hatred. 😂 This book had me on the edge of my seat the entire time from twists & turns in this book. While learning more about this society as well as more clues that unfolded & the mysteries of the past. From the spice, the romance, the chemistry, to the plot this book was just so much fun. The cliffhanger in this book 🤯 I think Maddie is up to something?!?🤔 I'll be patiently waiting until November for the release of Twisted Secrets . i was continually impressed with the characters, the secrets, the twists. i also like the dynamic between all the characters, but i still have mixed feelings about neo.

This book was so much spicier than the first one! There’s a stalker on the loose and things are getting intense. I loved Scar and her badass nature. It’s so hard for me to decide which one of the guys is my favorite, but maybe it’s Neo. His cocky, broody, hot asshole-ness was to die for. The banter and sexual tension between them was *chef’s kiss* and I need more. There is still so much to unravel and just like the first book I devoured this one so quickly!

We have Scar/Scarlett who is finishing up her last year of high school at a school for the kids of the Blue Bloods, a secret society. There is a hierarchy at the school, and the Lawless, Neo, Crew, and Jagger rule the school. They have their own set of rules and hazing process. They wanted to make Scar, their childhood friend’s life a living hell. Until a stalker decides he will do worse than them.
This is the second book in the series, Scar and the Lawless boys try to figure out who is behind the mysterious threatening notes and the pictures of Scar. While all this crazy stalker stuff is happening Scar is attracted to both Crew and Jagger, and trying to figure out their relationships. Having a past with both of them leaves her confused. This one is just as good and spicy as the first! The tunnel scene! 🥵 Oh and uh not to spoil anything but Neo is still a d!ck! 😂
Oooookay so if you read this series please message me your theories! @luna and I were chatting yesterday and we both have ours. And I’m kind of feeling Maddie, her bff maybe up to something. I mean of course with the ending you get an idea who MIGHT be behind it. But I’m thinking Maddie is in on it too. Idk just a theory!!!

It was so good!! Who knew I was into stalker books. Clearly I am, especially if it comes with these protectors.. I am obsessed! The spice, the plot, the stalking, the main characters (Scar is a badass, Jagger and Crew have my heart, even Rylie!)(honorable mention to Neo, a dick but great character development) the mystery, the twists! this book… GUYS THIS BOOK. Holy moly! I’m still not over how good it was! 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 gave me everything I need in a book. The Spice, the emotions, goosebumps, mysteries and one hell of a storyline!
The games are over and more secrets are revealed. It was so thrilling to follow scar and the alphaholes along their way to uncover the secrets of the stalker. But those spicy scenes?!? Damn that was hot! Jagger, crew, Neo? Honestly I want all of them at once 😂 jagger and crew are just amazing, but Neo honestly was everything in this book! He’s mean, he’s cruel, he’s rude, but DUDE I can’t even say how much I adore him!
and scar… she’s one hell of a woman! Badass just how I like it. She doesn’t take no BS and makes the guys work for it. Yessss girl!! Honestly, I loved every single word!

4.5 Stars. This book hit my kindle less than 24 hours ago and I absolutely devoured it. This book was even better than the first, but very much on par (If you enjoyed book 1 you will probably enjoy this, and if you didn't care for book 1 you probably won't enjoy this either). The games are over, so the book is a little bit slower than book one, but the mystery in starting to unfold and the romance is heating up.
The tension is this whole series has been everything. The glances, the lingering looks, the fighting, the anger. It is all done so well that leaves the reading going feral over what is going to happen next. The spice is a little mild for my taste, but the tension and wanting makes up for it in my book.
I loved the development of Jagger in this book and getting a little bit more insight into his life and his back story. Scarlett is just as great as in book 1 in this series. Neo in this book was everything for me. He is just as mean as ever. He is the hold out of the group so he denies having any kind of feelings toward Scar, but then feels the need to constantly talk about her. He is the mean brooding asshole who you just know has a soft spot for our MC but won't even admit it to himself.
The ending was also such a great set up for book 3! I can't wait to get my hands on the next book. -

Vicious Lies is the second book in the Bastards of Boulder Cove series. I thought the first book was good but oh my god I was not ready for this one!
I struggle to describe this series because it is unlike anything I’ve ever read before.
The best way I can explain it is a dark, bully romance, set within a secret society & academy that give off dark academia vibes, think old fancy private school/boarding school. Also this series has some mystery to it, which I love, and it always keeps you on the edge.
Thank you so much to Rachel Leigh for providing me with an ARC of Vicious Lies, this book completely blew my mind! Seriously I cannot stop thinking about it!! I need the next book right now or I might go insane!! -
I absolutely loved getting into Jagger’s head in this book. And I’m glad we still get in Crew’s head. Cannot wait to see what goes on in Neo’s head in book 3.

I was cursing Rachel at the end of this bloody book! 😂 another cliffhanger and another few days of me contemplating EVERYTHING. This series is a Dark Romance/thriller. And I was definitely creeped out in parts, who is stalking Scar and why? Family secrets and lies seems to be at the heart of it and poor Scarlett is taking the brunt of it all in some kind of vicious revenge. After Scar moves in with Crew, Jagger and Neo she seems to think the drama from the games have stopped. Her and Crew are in the best place they could possibly be in, then Jagger swoops in and oh my lord my 🐱 was like hello! Neo is still hellbent on destroying Scar thinking she’s the reason behind his families demise and where the hell is Maddie!?
Who is behind the black hood that’s running around attacking innocent people? I NEED TO KNOW. -

I absolutely love Rachel's books! I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I am loving the push and pull between Scarlett, Crew, and Neo. I can't wait to see how their relationship grows throughout the series. I really enjoyed getting Scarlett, Jagger, and Crew's point of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
The book ended on a great cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait for the next book in the series Twisted Secrets to be released on audio.
I originally read the book and was so excited when I saw it was coming to audio and I was not disappointed. Stefanie and Theo did an amazing job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would highly recommend this series if you like dark romances, academy romances, bully romances, or romantic suspense.

Have you ever had a series you’ve just slept on or started and planned to continue and time just got away from you? Rachel Leigh’s BCA series was that for me. I even signed up for the ARC of book 3 and I just wasn’t in a mental state to finish the series at the time. I’m so glad that leading up to the BCU series coming up, that I finished this one. It was so good! So many twists and turns. There were so many times that I went to my group chat with friends who have already finished with my reactions and predictions, sometimes right but more often wrong because Rachel really knows how to turn thing on their head in her writing. Let me paint you a picture…
We’ve got Scarlett, who does NOT want anything to do with Boulder Cove Academy. Not the fact that’s it’s a boarding school that she’ll be leaving her hometown and public school for, the Blue Blood secret society she grew up living as a member of, or the Lawless- the three boys she grew up with as the head of the student body who also hate her and did everything in their power to get her to BCA just to toy with her. As she gets started in her senior year, she is learning the traditions of being a Blue Blood and the initiation into BCA that normally happen as a junior. She must complete the Ladder Games in order to rank up but it���s all at the mercy of Crew, Jagger, and Neo.
Scarlett has a history with all 3 of these boys. Some good, some bad. Ultimately, an accident has put her in all of their bad graces, so when she shows up and is getting ready for her initiation, they can’t help but get under her skin. But she is getting under their skin just as much. And breaking down their walls. When someone else has plans of interfering in Scarlett’s life, they boys all come together to help Scarlett figure out who is out to get her and protect her with all the power they have. -
I cannot get over this book!!!!!! It has been on my mind ever since I finished it and I am anxiously awaiting book 3 so bad you have no idea.
But first let’s get into why I love this book so much. Jagger Cole...need I say more? This man decimated me in every way possible, if I thought I loved him in Savage games I was sadly mistaken because that was puppy love compared to what he made me feel in this book. Neo is still the owner of my soul but Jagger definitely came with his A-game for his woman in Vicious Lies. I loved that it showed us a little bit of their backstory in the beginning. Of HOW it all started with the mom and why Neo always blamed Scar. And those treehouse kisses? OMG I MELTED!!!!!
The person I thought was the bad person has changed a few times but honestly the main one has stayed the same all along. I am so ready for book 3, ready for answers but also ready for Neo to get closer to Scarlett! I know that book is going to be THEIR book and I could tell by the way he seemed to be getting a little closer, and fighting with her more and even seemed a little more confused that his resolve will crumble and she will have all these guys by the end. And I cannot wait! They are all perfect for one another!!! What an excellent series! My favorite by Rachel Leigh for sure! -
I usually wait until I read the last book of a series to write a review but this sequel was so different than the first that I had to write down some thoughts. Not different because the story is going somewhere else or because of the writing but because of Jagger.
I don’t understand why suddenly he changed to that love puppy?! Why not mention in the first book how close him and Scarlett were? I’m confused and I’m not really sure I like this turn of events. I know this is a RH but I would have prefers a slow burn story.
And I guess in the third book Neo will also turn into a love puppy which is going to be even harder to believe because that one is nasty and doesn’t deserve Scarlett at all.
The final twist in the epilogue was like opening an open door and it made Riley looks like an idiot and not very efficient at what she is supposed to be. -
I am all in the conspiracy theories are strong and wild. This book will have you open mouthed and shocked with revelations. Finally we have a couple of the guys falling in line!!! The coupling is delicious and when the final one falls I know it will be glorious. This is one fucked up Secret society. I am on the edge for book 3

I really enjoyed this dark suspenseful secret society RH bully romance. This story is so full of suspense and no one is really what they seem.
Vicious Lies is the second book in the new Bastards of Boulder Cove series, which follows Scarlett who is forced to attend Boulder Cove Academy (BCA) to finish her senior year while trying to avoid The Lawless, a group of her childhood nemeses, who run the school. The story is covered over multiple books. This is not a standalone. You must read Savage Games first.
At the start of Vicious Lies, Scarlett and Crew are beginning to rekindle their relationship while figuring out who is out to get them. We could tell there was more behind Scarlett’s past with Jagger and this book explores that more. I loved watching them reconnect.
I do wish there was a bit more spice although the mystery and plot definitely kept me interested and wanting to learn more. The history of the society is so interesting and I can’t wait to learn more about the connection between the Beckett family and the Lawless.
This book was spicy, but I hope the third book gives us some juicy group scenes. Although there was a hot scene where Crew mostly watches Scarlett and Jagger that gives me hope for some spicy threesomes. Scarlett continues to be a total bad ass and I appreciated when she told the guys that she wouldn’t choose between them! Yes girl! You deserve them all after all the crap they you through!
The story ends with multiple cliffhangers, and I can’t wait to see how it moves forward in the third book, Twisted Secrets.
