Judy hasn’t had the best life. In fact, she’s had more heartache than happiness. Working a dead-end job and struggling to make ends meet, living in a constant state of stress was the norm until the night her boss sent her on a last minute food delivery.

Poppa, a self-made millionaire, doesn’t have the time nor the patience for a love life. His only intent was to sleep with the food delivery girl that night. Never in a million years did he expect to fall in love.

After a life-changing event, the two completely different souls have no choice but to coexist. As they try to love each other, a bitter ex-wife and a brewing storm threaten everything. Amid all the turmoil, Poppa will need Judy more than ever. Can Judy be there for him when he needs her the most? Or will karma leave him standing alone?

    not good (mild spoiler alert)

This story so far is probably the most dumbest story that (I’m not gone say I ever read) but close to it. This author is very hit or miss for me. Plus it takes her foreeeevvverrr to come out with the next parts to her series. So I actually stopped reading her books.

Anyway Judy was stupid as h3ll and slow. That’s just how all the characters treated her too. I still don’t understand how she ended up having sex with him for money. In the beginning she said she was delivering food because the customer tipped $500, because the restaurant doesn’t usually deliver. Then when she got to the house he gave her money to take the girl home that was there, and it was a couple hundreds. The chick didn’t want Judy to take her home so she caught an Uber, but he didn’t take the money back from Judy. So if her phone was off couldn’t she just wait until morning to pay to turn it on? And still have a nice amount left? I mean how much is the bill? It didn’t state she had to share the $500 tip with anyone. She was a super boring character, she didn’t have anything going for her and she never progressed as a character. She wasn’t even a good parent. She NEVER spent time with her baby like the whole story we don’t even know where the baby is most times. She didn’t do anything to upgrade herself at all. She acted like Marcel’s child/puppet. She was only there when he got horny and wanted her. I actually really despised her character in every way. I’ve read a lot of female lead characters and disliked them but she takes the cake and the ice cream. Like how u have a son and never spend time with him. She was super weak too, most ppl that had been through what she’s been through and lived would be waaayyy stronger and more assertive. And y bring up her bff Liyza or whatever name is if she truly wasn’t gonna be apart of the story? It’s like Agasha was introduced and viola she was the only one Judy hung with.

Also when she asked Poppa that night why he wanted the girl to leave he said because she was going live and trying to put him in her live and pics. When on the little date they went on 9/10 months later she asked him the same question and he says because she stole from him and acted like he had to think for a hot second.

    Speaking of Pappa:

Poppa’s character was intriguing enough to make me keep reading to see how things turn out. But in my opinion he is one dimensional. Even when he’s supposedly telling her how he feels and that he loves her (though I truly don’t know how he loved her) you don’t feel it at all. Why don’t we get chapters from Poppa? Get his POV on things concerning him and Judy?

Nadia has to be the stupidest criminal I’ve ever read about to date. HOW DO U WEAR JEWELRY TO KILL SOMEBODY? She talked like she had stuff under control, but she left bread crumbs at every turn, why was she able to keep going on missions? I can’t do nothing but roll my eyes.

I skipped the last few chapters to get to the end. I want to know what happens so if part 2 is ever released before next year I will read it. I hate a story that is supposed to be about two ppl and a relationship, but the drama outside the relationship overpowers the reader seeing the relationship grow. On top of that I STILL DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE CHARACTERS except a few minor details. This story is not about Poppa and Judy, it’s about ppl wanting to kill poppa and everyone close to him. It has specs of poppa and Judy together throughout, but it was so garbage I no longer cared about them. I just wanna see if Marcel will get captured. Honestly pappas disorder is the only thing that got me this far.

2.5 stars. I'm going to force myself to finish idk man. I think the thing that is craziest to me is that Poppa is mildly autistic. That man is on the spectrum and I know how the girls feel about him and I think him being clueless is cute, BUT there's a difference between clueless and him genuinely not understanding human emotions. The main heroine I don't remember her name but she's an idiot. Godspeed to whoever reads this because it's not my vibe but it could be yours!

What the hell did I just read? First of all, JUDY MIGHT BE THE DUMBEST HEROINE IVE EVER READ ABOUT. Second of all, it’s too many people telling their side of the story. This suppose to be a romance but it’s more like a drama. It’s clearly not a Romance because the hero is an emotionless asshole. He says he loves the heroine but treats her like shit. They have separate bedrooms and separate parts of the house for fucks sake. Judy is such a doormat and she’s stupid. Who has a one night stand with a total stranger after being told that that stranger is dangerous. Then on top of that gets knocked up by that stranger. Her ass should’ve stayed in her car that night or called an Uber because she doesn’t belong it Poppa’s world. Ol girl put up with a lot of shit a real woman wouldn’t have…like the ex wife drama. Who lets their boyfriend’s ex wife live with them for the summer where there aren’t any kids involved?? THEN ON TOP OF THAT POPPA ADMITTED THAT HIM AND HIS WIFE HAD SEX FROM TIME TO TIME😳🤯 and all Judy is trying to do is understand him. Stupid much? I could go on and on about how dumb she is but I must admit her dumbness was very entertaining 😂😂 however idk if I’m reading the rest of this series. Feel like a a waste.

    Too Much Going On!

Kia, This read was doing much. Poppa was a complex man that played many !one games. There was so much jealousy, envy, greed and distrust going on here it seemed every turn there was another piece of danger with questions that needed to be answered.
Judy never thought her quiet life would turn into what it had. Maddie, Ricardo felt they could change their life for the better but they were such demons. Everyone was in danger enemies new and old had unresolved situations going on. I hope Nadia ,Judy and Poppa will make it out alive.

When I Needed You The Most: A Millionaire Romance

First off let me just say this, Poppa straight up did something tingly to my soul. From his aggressiveness to his straight to the point attitude! Ohh wee I loved it all. Yes you must have patience to deal with him and that’s where Judy comes in at. All she needed to do was learn him and wala she had access to something that not even his ex-wife had access to and that’s his heart. Kia I don’t know how you do it but love you do it and does it well! Can’t wait until part two comes out because I stayed up reading this book and I need more. Great read!

    Deep Needs

This chick was a food delivery driver who had sex under weird circumstances with a customer on a one night stand out of desperation because she had bills to pay. Hey, can't knock what you don't know! But to be so irresponsible not to get a plan b because his ex told you he couldn't have kids is unfathomable! This is a weird and convoluted story that makes you keep reading to get to the bottom of it all. Can't wait for part 2 to see what the friend does to figure out why her family were slaughtered and what's in store for the ex wife! Oh yeah, old grandma need to get hers too!

    Good Book!!!!

I love this book looking forward to part 2. I couldn't stand Poppa at first, him and his complex azz ways. Judy just had a caring loving heart, due to her not having a family, which caused her to act a certain way. I can't wait until karma coming knocking at Maddy and Ricardo door. Your only family will do you in and not think twice about it. Judy got in my nerves with her weak azz. Agasha better go find something safe to do bcuz she's barking up the wrong tree. I hope Poppa, Judy and Nadia come out on top from this war with Zigzag. I can't for part 2!

  • Conya Thorpe

I loved how it started and the scenes in between. Judy and Poppa..lol Poppa is a very complex man..Maddy I don't like her. And I'm sure it's a camera in the first floor room. Nadia and Agasha....sheesh. i really think Zig has gotten to her...but we all know what Poppa does to threats against his family

    Crazy Drama

This story is so full of some crazy drama. The way these characters met, the relationships going on with them and around them. Family turning on family, a crazy ex that is in the middle of it all. I am so ready for part two. I can't wait to see what happens next.

    Great Read

This book was packed with secrets, lies and betrayal. Poppa really is a strange being and at first I really wasn't feeling him. I'm still not a 100% sold on him but I'm kinda understanding him. Judy was really annoying at times. Sometimes I just wanted to shake her and tell her to just be quiet. She was always telling somebody how much Poppa was packing🍆. I can't wait till Maddy and Ricardo get what's coming to them. They think they so smart but the jokes on them. I hate Nadia got kidnapped but it's her own fault, she should have known better. Plus she been messing up alot anyway. Ion know how to feel about Agasha but I know she better leave well enough alone.💘💘
