This is a beautifully illustrated tale of Balám, the boy of maize, and his long-awaited journey to town on the back of a great blue turtle. The artwork is absolutely gorgeous!!!

This was wonderfully illustrated and a beautiful story, however, and this pains me to say this, the translation felt wonky. Still, it was a great read.
