To: Aleksi Petrova,

I didn’t want you.

I’ve never wanted to be with you yet I can’t ever get you out of my head.

What have you done?

***

That’s it.

That’s all.

You were once my crush and the man that I loved.

Now… we’re each other’s nightmare.

Aleksi Petrova: The Bulgarian Reviews

Just a heads up, there’s sexual violence in this book and it’s committed by the hero. It is pretty gross and ruined my ability to find anything sexy or likable about the character. King Ellie definitely writes well and explores some really dark tones in her books but this is a little bit too dark for me.

Look, I get the guy is a mafioso and even there’s attempts to make him seem softer but the sexual violence is not something I care to read in the romance genre.

I enjoyed the story very much in general. Aleksi was an asshole for most of the book, which was off putting to me personally but I know there are some who don't mind that in their alpha males. I related very much to Sabrina and thought her character deserved better treatment overall. It didn't seem to make her any stronger being treated so poorly by the man she loved. I think it would've been a 5 star if it didn't take Aleksi so long to be receptive of Sabrina's feelings and his own. By the time he had, it was too little too late for me. I wanted Catherine to suffer more for what she had done also and honestly thought her head was literally going to end up on a platter. It would have been amazing. The story was entertaining and I will definitely read more book from King Ellie.

This had the potential to be great, the idea behind it was good but the execution ehhh. my fav genre is Mafia Romance and all the years I have read them I have never seen a man cry and whine soo much. i cant even pick out a scene or a character that made the book for me.

Aleksi Petrova is a man who you may love or hate, but will respect. The boy who once wore his heart on his sleeve has grown into a gorgeous and ruthless man who is now bound by duty to his people. Sabrina is the girl who got away and when she returns she has no idea what she has walked into. But Aleksi is not that boy and this is no longer her town. The rules and games have changed and she has to prove her place to stake her claim.

Aleksi and Sabrina have a very intimate history combined with a bitter and tainted past. While Sabrina may still be the girl from long ago its clear that Aleksi is no longer that boy she once loved.
Sabrina's unexpected return after over a decade apart leaves a path of death, deception, and hidden secrets. There are many questions about Sabrina's intentions and why she has returned, and she knows who she must answer them to. The path they begin together is very dark while the sexual attraction they feel is as intense as their animosity and hate. They have a story like no other and its not all rainbows along the way. While love hath no fury like a woman scorned...you can only imagine when its a man.

I received an ARC read of Aleksi Petrova and I will say King Ellie never disappoints me with her books.

I loved Aleksi and Sabrina together and Ella was such a sweet soul. Aleksi tried to play hard but he knew he loved Sabrina. I am glad they got their HEA after so many things trying to keep them apart. Once Aleksi listened and understood what was really going on he was able to love Sabrina the way he needed too. That darn Catherine was something crazy off a short bus for sure. She got what she deserved and I was just reading this story like was it even worth it.

I love me some Aleksi and he has become one of my book bae’s. I can’t wait to see what King Ellie has in store for the next book.

    King Ellie don’t miss

King Ellie is easily one of my favorite authors, her books never miss. I’m in love with all the characters of this book. The pages were on fire, I couldn’t put it down! Aleksi Petrova is a definite reread for me !!

    Nope

This book is a no for me, I get this was going to be a dark romance…but there was no romance or chemistry between him and her. I know he was a mobster dom but the way he talked to her was rough not tough. At times he spoke to her as if she was a little delayed and at times I thought she was too.

He was the ultimate alpha father

Aleksi was an extraordinary father. He was a don but he was also a single father deemed by syndicate business. It broke his heart and soul to lose the only young woman he ever loved but there was no choice. He wanted to fight to keep both his baby and the woman he loved. Sabrina left to save the lives of both of her loves. She was never to see either again but there was an underhanded plot by someone close to both of them that wanted Sabrina forever gone for no competition for Aleksi's heart. What this family did not know was there was never any chance of anyone winning Aleksi's heart. That already belonged to Sabrina and Ella-Marie.

People tried to destroy their relationship and family only to accomplish the opposite. Aleksi had a hard time letting Sabrina back in his heart because he was devastated by her leaving. But the heart wants what the heart wants. They all had to adjust to the new life they found themselves in, including Ella. She was such an intuitive little girl that was too smart for her age. Aleksi comes off as extremely hard and Sabrina was insistent on letting him know she did not abandon him. In the end, they all got their HEA.

    The Don’s Duchesses💞💞💞

😎Don Aleksi Petrova is an alpha through and through and when it came to his loves Sabrina and Ella, he took it to a whole other level.  This was a highly intense second chance romance with the Don and the enforcers daughter🥰😍.

There were laws and clauses that prevented Aleksi and Sabrina to be together and when Sabrina made the hard choice to walk away from everyone she loved things changed for Aleksi😖.  The information about this law was very vague and thought the Don would have made changes to put him out of his misery but he had other plans.  It was sad what Sabrina had to endure from her own family and that of the Petrova’s but she was tough enough to endure it😢.  There were times when she appeared weak one too many times especially for someone who was trained to be otherwise.  I love the interactions between Aleksi and Ella🥰🥰.  What Catherine did was shameful, and she deserved what she got.

I like that this story is taking place in the New/Old Dominion world and looking forward to reading more👍🏽.

    What a Ride!

This story was just…man!!! Aleksi is just one of those characters that you love and hate at different points in the story. How he treated Sabrina when she initially came back was pretty brutal, but once you understand his pain…you kind of get it. You don’t approve, but you get it. For me, it was something to see him try and fight his feelings.

Sabrina just got a raw deal. Despite how she was being treated, her feelings and love for Aleksi was just too strong. She was so (to me) very much a pushover, but you see her start to stand her ground as you get deeper in the book. Without giving too many spoilers, I like the fact that you really don’t know how this story is going to end. This was definitely a good read! I’m thinking that the remaining series will focus on the cousins of Aleksi because there were a lot of good supporting characters in this book.

Aleksi Petrova: The Bulgarian (In Crime & In Love Book 1)
    King Ellie

I received an advanced reader copy, and I am voluntarily leaving a review. This is a second chance story of Aleksi and Nomi. They fell in love in high school but circumstances, family obligations and misunderstandings lead to their breakup. They reunite after 12 years and its fireworks, bloodshed and tears. Aleksi is alpha but is able to demonstrate love & compassion to “Little Duchess.” Nomi grew into her role as the woman who would stand with Aleksi as he rules. Aleksi grew into a man who could forgive and open his heart to love.

    Good read

Aleksi hard to really say about him he has that bad boy vibe going on. He's mean to Sabrina but loves her like crazy even through he pretends he dont at first. Sabrina I Haye what they made her do that was so messed up that she had to give up her baby. She missed so many years of her life. That she didnt have a choice in the matter. I really first understand her best Friend she was crazy for real like why be so jealous and hateful 💔 toward Sabrina. She got what she deserved for what she did.

Modern & Juliet! The Syndicate dictated so much of their lives, kept them apart. What brought them back together was something neither of them could have possibly ever envisioned. Aleksi became the badass he was always meant to be. Sabrina had to learn who she really was meant to be. Together, The Syndicate is better. King Ellis did the damn thang with Aleksi's story. Definitely want more of this Syndicate.

    Don't Ignore

Don't Ignore this book like I did, for months. I don't know why I just wouldn't choose it to read. Anyway, yesterday I could not find anything to read so finally I said let me give it a try. Boy, am I glad I did. Five star worthy, steamy, gritty, crazy, lovely, you name it's got it. Page turner fun!

    Good start

This was a good start and I will be reading the 2nd book in this series. There were parts that could have been fleshed out more. There are parts that could have been explained better but overall it was a good read.
