rounding this up to πŸ§Ÿβ€β™€οΈπŸ§Ÿβ€β™€οΈπŸ§Ÿβ€β™€οΈπŸ§Ÿβ€β™€οΈ/5. truly enjoyed reading this horror short stories collection by epigram books!! honestly both short stories and horror are not my go-to genre in the first place but im so glad to pick this one up.⁣
     ⁣
just like any other short stories, its quite like a mixed bag; average stories and then there are some better than the others. it distinctly shows how different authors write differently too so i guess it really depends on reader's preferences when it comes to the writing style - like for instance, i do find some that are too flowery and personally felt like it was kinda off a lil bit/didnt quite suit the genre. ⁣
    ⁣
but!!! i love how there is a variety in it and a lot of exploring other various themes. it would definitely reach to a lot of different readers and esp for locals - there might be some stories that are more memorable/relatable as you might have experienced similar ~encounters~. πŸ™‚ i might be crazy but i wished it was generally scarier/weirder than i thought tho like pls !!! u have the full permission to mAKE ME UNABLE TO SLEEP !!!!
    ⁣
stories that sends me the ultimate chills: untitled train story / under the banana tree / hantu hijau / ah boy. πŸ‘» i literally didnt know who the top 3 winners were and decided to check it out right after i was done with the entire book. i was q shook that 2 of them that i've picked were actually in it!! ⁣
    ⁣
anyways, this is overall such a fantastic debut and surprisingly i cant wait for more πŸ‘€πŸ«£
