Xmas gift from Kristin - entertaining read. Truly a lady who pushed herself outside conventions of the time. The only thing I wish had been explored in the book is the topic of her solitude. Did she ever court anyone? And if not, what was her motivation to live independent of intimate partnership her entire life?
