Jordan returns to Walkers Way to follow his dream of purchasing the Walker timber mill. But Holly doesn’t think her heart will survive the impact when she sets eyes on him. After all, they were childhood sweethearts, and it continued until the day he left town almost six years ago.

Holly is fearful he will discover a secret she’s hidden, and avoiding him in a small town is impossible, especially with a persistent matchmaking father on the loose.

Her father and Jordan organise a contract for the sale of the mill. When Holly discovers their true intentions, she is furious. She didn’t spend every Saturday working at the mill and doing the books for the last ten years for nothing. That mill was promised to her by her late grandfather.

When she wakes to find her son missing, her world crumbles. A second crime follows, and Jordan puts the mill on hold and takes on one last case before he resigns from the police force.

Despite their differences of opinion and the discovery of something he never thought possible, Jordan is now on a mission, and that is to have Holly permanently in his life.

Outback Promises Reviews

Outback Promises is about jealousy, medal illness and a second chance at love. Jordan Francis decided to come home to Walkers Way after resigning from the NSW law enforcement officer with his dog Samson. Jordan Francis was the teenage crush of Holly Walker, and due to being busy with her cafe and son, Dylan was not concerned about Jordan being back in town. However, this changed when Holly's father Charles wanted to sell the family business to Jordan. The readers of Outback Promises will continue to follow Holly and Jordan to find out what happens.

I enjoyed the ending of Outback Promises, which made me smile. Suzanne Brandyn did a fantastic job highlighting women's issues during pregnancy. I engaged with this book from the first page, and I forgot about going to sleep. I love Suzanne Brandyn's portrayal of her characters and the way they intertwine with each other throughout this book. Outback Promises is well written and researched by Suzanne Brandyn. I like Suzanne Brandyn's description of the settings of Outback Promises, which allowed me to imagine being part of the book's plot.

The readers of Outback Promises will learn about the problems when a small community ignores mental illness. Also, the readers of Outback Promises will learn about the role and the commands to handling dogs that law enforcement officers use during law investigations.

Thank you to the author for my ARC copy of Outback Promises for an honest review. I recommend this book.

Loved this story. A little different from Suzanne’s last novels. But with the timber mill and the town of Walkers Way I felt as though I was there in the novel. I love the descriptions of the café and Holly’s home. I want them. 😊
Suzanne has a way of explaining things simply which I love. Easy to read and a great story with suspense and surprises along the way.
    You won’t be disappointed.

The first 3 chapters were great, after that it just fell away. It was poorly written and not researched at all by the look of it. The situations were far fetched, not how things would actually play out in real life and not at all believable. This was the first time reading any book by Suzanne Brandyn, and sadly I will not be picking up any of her other books.
