Will America fall to the Russian bear and the Chinese dragon?
The world holds its breath after Russia and China destroy a city in the United States. How will America respond? Will the weakened Eagle surrender to the Bear and the Dragon, or will she keep fighting back? Is ‘mutually assured destruction’ going to devastate all three countries?

On a remote island in Southeast Alaska, Sierra Forester and Austin Martin join with friends to rebuild their lives following a mega-tsunami that destroyed their small town. But troubles are brewing and conflicts arise as the remaining population of the island attempts to live together in a crucible.

Meanwhile, in China, Mao Wu Ying tries to pick up the broken pieces of his life after suffering a tragic loss. He keeps his eye on the sky, watching for the blazing tail of an incoming American missile. As he considers his future, he faces choices that will determine his eternal fate. Will he return to his old life as a communist atheist, or will he risk everything to follow Jesus?

Mystery Babylon, Book 3: The Eagle Reviews

    4 Stars ✨

Really enjoyed this series, this one ended so abruptly though, I liked the ending but it just felt extremely rushed.

    Destiny

When one country thinks they are better than any other and have them figured out. When egos and pride dominate decision making. No one wins in a battle to destroy one another. God has a plan for us from the day we are born until our death. We as humans decide how we spend that time. Reflect on your lives and see if you will pass the test on judgement day. This series has only proven to me that we are domed if our leaders don't start acting like the wise men that built our country. ONE NATION UNDER GOD.

Oops, I might've forgot to mention that I finished this book a couple weeks ago *sheepish grin*

Update: All right! I'm just going to do an over-arching review of the trilogy, so there may be some minor spoilers (I promise to do my best not to give away too much :) )

First off, I just want to say I love Gran in this series! She's quite the spitfire. And Daisy's amazing! I just want to hug her. She's such a good friend! (And she calls Austin 'Dustin' instead of his actual name, and that was so funny XD).

I haven't read a ton of Christian End-Times stories, but this trilogy was a really intriguing premise. The author's take on who Mystery Babylon was, surprised me (and while I don't fully agree, I still enjoyed hearing her make her case.) Also, the author did a good job capturing the different worldviews of each country (Russia, China, and the U.S). It felt like a well-researched story, and all the details made the setting come alive.

That being said I felt like, personally, the whole trilogy could be condensed into one book. Parts of the writing felt dry, and sometimes it dragged a bit (although switching between viewpoints did help to heighten the tension in some areas, which was a really good idea. I just felt like it was done too much, so maybe that's why the story felt strung out.)

Also, I didn't fully connect with Sierra or Austin. Their arcs weren't very believable, and it felt rushed at the end. The only character I was truly rooting for was Wu-Ying (*clutches heart* He needs a hug too, poor man.) Perhaps the reason why I didn't get super invested with a lot of the characters is because there was no definable hero/protagonist of the story. When I first started it, I thought it would be Sierra, or at least the majority of the books would be centered around her; but not really.

On the other hand, I'm very much a character-driven story person, and this was more centered around the plot. So, actually, it's probably just a personal preference sort of thing.

All in all, if you like Christian sci-fi/End Times stories, I think it'd be worth checking out. (Some minor content warnings would be use of swear words and torture, though not super detailed.)

Three whole stars for the entire trilogy!

    No winners/lots of winners!

If you read this series you'll understand. What happens when the world goes to war? Many winners, as men and women look at what lies ahead.

I only have a few complaints 1) whatever happened to Austin's family...it never says
    2) there are a few typos in the series but you can get the meaning
    3) I would have loved if The Russian general would have had a near death experience as another character did, his could have displayed the other side. All in all an interesting story.

    young adult readers.

At every character ending chapter there was a cliff hanger to go on to the next character over & over in every chapter. I almost stopped reading it because of that. It was frustrating. The plot is ok but much of the story is unrealistic.
Nobody in the whole town or farms had any kind of pain meds not even aspirin or tylenel ? Strange. I will most likely not read the next book unless I get desperate for some to read

    Come Lord Jesus

Jamie has touch off a spark in me to walk closer to the Lord's path. Her description of the end times so easily could happen this way. The way she weaves God's purpose in still extending salvation in chaos the way our Lord works.I love the characters, I feel all of us has known someone like them. I can't wait for more stories. signed Arnold B.

    Great BOOKS- disappointing ENDING

This book managed to keep me up at night and delay a few meals until I got to the end which tried to "wrap up" everything in what seemed like just a couple of pages. The series had lots of details so for the conclusion to be so generic and short was a great big bummer! Recommendation-ok

    excellent Trilogy Bear, Dragon, Eagle

Very interesting trilogy about how Mystery Babylon could fall in just one day. I enjoyed the behind all the scenes perspectives. Couldn’t stop reading until I finished it all! Second series of this author that I have read one after the other! On to her next series!

    Awesome series!

I love reading Jamie Gray’s books! They keep your attention and always have a Christian theme. I believe we are living in the last days and this series is fiction but could come true in the near future.

  • Carol Kaiser

    Absolutely Wonderful series

I loved having the perspective from those who lived in Countries where Christianity, any religion, was forbidden. And how they changed. Imperfect Christians pulling together in the midst of hardship inspired me....I loved these books.

    God is Good

    All the time.
I love books that reflect Biblical truths of His character. Grace, mercy, love, forgiveness even when we do not deserve it. These stories are uplifting and encouraging and that is exactly what’s needed today. God is Good!

    Excellent clean Christian reading

Excellent series, though I honestly wished there was a fourth book in the series. As always I'm looking forward to the next release!

    Awesome story

Loved the character development. Was very sad when it ended. Believable premise. Loved that it ended and didn't leave a cliffhanger.
