Kathryn Deiner was a proud woman. Every-thing she turned her hand to succeeded. There was just one thing wrong – Kathryn would never marry as she could not find a man worthy of her.Kathryn is a pride filled woman in a wealthy family, who belongs to the ‘in crowd’ of her community. But when Kathryn is forced to ask for help she is appalled to learn that she must deal with the most pitiful man in town, Elijah Herschberger.
Elijah has a knack with horses, and a debilitating stutter. When the uppity Kathryn Deiner’s new foal is in need of saving, he agrees to offer assistance. He has always admired Kathryn but he has never dared talk to her. How would a woman like her, ever notice a man like him?
As Kathryn and Elijah work together to save the foal, Kathryn is surprised to discover her heart is softening with feelings for Elijiah. But when Elijah suffers a cruel and callous attack; she is forced to make a costly decision.
Is Kathryn willing to forgo her status in the community for the sake of a social pariah? Can Elijah forgive the terrible cruelty he has endured? Can God make all things right? Find out in this sweet Amish romance by Mary Lantz.

The Proud Amish Woman Reviews
-
Pride goes before destruction
The title set up the book perfectly. Kathryn’s sin was pride and nearly caused her to lose out on love in the interest of retaining what amounted to a caustic friendship. The author’s story length is around novella size, so each story is an easy read. Looking forward to more from this author. -
A Beautiful Story
From the beginning to the end of this book there is compassion and there are parts that point out how cruel a person can be. The forgiveness that was granted to Bridget was what I would have expected at the end . -
