Cynical mother of the groom, Aimee, is overly fussy about her son’s wedding. She wants it to be perfect for her son even though she’s not sure that marriage is the right step.
Jason is the best man’s father and is happy for his son’s best friend. His mood is high as he visits the quaint little town of Springtown Beach for a decidedly happy event.
Bumping into each other the night before the wedding sets off a few unexpected sparks for both of them. The dinner date that soon follows kindles a hope that romance could still be possible in spite of their rocky love lives of the past.
When she overhears a conversation she probably wasn’t meant to hear, she realizes that her first instincts were wrong. Her long-held beliefs were true – a loving relationship isn’t in the cards for her.
Is there hope for a mid-life romance once the truth comes out? Or was Aimee just caught up in the rush of emotions that was never meant to be anything more than a flirtation?

This is a really exciting and sweet book about Aimee and Jason how they met at a wedding. Both of them from previous marriages that were not good. I really love seasoned relationships.
The book is a real page turner, once I started I could not put it down
Can't wait to hear to Aimee said to Jason in the next book. This was really a page turner, once I started I really could not put it down.

This is a lovely story as we visit the quaint little town of Springtown Beach for a wedding. You have the mother of the groom whose not had a happy marriage and the father of the best man who still believes in true love!! It’s a fab novella full of emotions, uncertainty, love and hopefully a hea! I very much enjoyed this small town romance.

This book wasn’t one of my favorites, but it was a cute short read. The sparks between Jason and Aimee were fun and they were nice characters. If you’re looking for a fun short book, this one’s for you!
