Mushroom Magick: A Visionary Field Guide Reviews
-
Dozens of gorgeous watercolors, labeled with genus and species names. Fun and succinct introductions by writers and psychonauts Daniel Pinchbeck and Erik Davis, as well as respected mycologist Gary Lincoff. Roper has a unique style that celebrates the natural beautry and mystery of the mushroom.
-
This is an absolutely gorgeous little book. As a science nerd and illustrator with a fascination for mycoremediation and mycology in general this was right up my alley. There's starting to be a lot of good evidence for psilocybin group! While I couldn't give a rat's nugget about the psychotropic qualities, this is a must have if you love art or fungi!
-
Amazing illustrations!
-
I am not interested in consuming psychedelic mushrooms. This book is worth the purchase simply for Arik's wonderful artwork.
-
Basically an illustration book with short and vague destriptions of various psychoactive mycelium, the images are accurate but lightly embellished, so not a field guide , but more of a creatively inspired vision of the fungi.
-
I learned that most mushrooms with psilocybin (sp?)will bruise blue... good to know!
-
Lots of good watercolor paintings of psychoactive mushrooms with a good intro by Daniel Pinchbeck.

Thank you my little white ninja!
