I'm enjoying the action! I was a little scared about Joey not making it when Lynette mentioned it. I'm glad they got a new person in their team and he seems to be very well trained, thank goodness he was stalking Ron and his crew otherwise Ron would be dead by now. It sucks that they can never start over without being haunted by Busters family, dad. I think Silas is stupid! He should definitely run away and not work for O.P anymore, he is going to kill you eventually Silas! I can't believe Ron killed the twins, they sounded lethal! I wonder if OP is gonna get them now that they are on the move. I hope they get away but the next book has to be about OPs death!

    Surviving an ash-filled ice age

Survival in the wake of volcanic dust filling the atmosphere took ingenuity and skill. Ron had plenty of both. His small band of survivors did just thst: survived. Ron's underground greenhouse powered by hydroelectric power ensured that their diet was varied and healthy and they didn't have to scavenge from diminishing sources. They would be terrific in this savage future were it not for the presence of the head of a Mexican cartel and his army living nearby.

Lessons in survival don't include living in the shadow of insane evil. It should. The characters are rough around the edges, but who wouldn't be with their past. Beaten, raped and tortured. I would never have survived a week, let alone six months! Strong characters and a great storyline. Add in an excellent storyteller and it adds up to a great read!

This book picked up where the first book left off. This one seemed shorter, but it is, but also because it is non stop action. I am enjoying the characters, at least the protagonists. I can't really talk about what takes place without adding spoilers so will just say I enjoyed this book and am already into the third and final story.

    Thrill a minute apocalypse thriller.

Like most apocalypse stories, this deals with a major cataclysm and a few survivors who are smart and brave enough to take on survival in really difficult conditions.

    Great series!

Fantastic series so far. Great character depth and edge-of-your-seat descriptions. You can rarely predict the direction something is headed before you are taking a hard left at the last moment.

    Mehhhh

This could have been a fun story, but its choppy and simply thrown together. I'm not bothering with the final book. I'm done.
