This is a Happily Ever After, Galactic Cyborg Heat Series, Hot Romantic Fiction Novel.

A tantalizing story of passions and desires, that brings two very different people together in a way they never thought possible. This is a standalone novel but can and is more complete by reading the series in order starting with Book 1 Rage. But not doing so, will not spoil your enjoyment.

NOTE TO READERS: If you love the work of Anna Hackett and Eve Langlais you will love this. This is a sci-fi romance, filled with hot sex, strong dominant men and sexy females who know how to hold their own. It’s gritty, confrontational and steam will be coming out of your ears. If you’re looking for something to get those juices flowing, you just found it. Enjoy!

Written mainly in British English with American slang and language.

The female was irrational. She made demands. Did she not know they were Cyborg?

Rage, the leader of his people, created for war and death, looked on as the small female challenged him. It called to his nature. His body responding in an unexpected manner. His emotions braking through his logic and Rage studied the data flowing across his optic in wonder.

Cyborgs had fought to survive, to be free and they'd been hunted as a resource. Scattered across the Universe. Sold to the highest bidder. Now they wanted to live. To love. To be free.

For 40 long year's they'd wandered the Universe. Earth Corp no longer holding dominion over them. But having been created by them to make or break Kings, many were now lost in outer world skirmishes. Used and abused and unaware of their freedom.

They would never stop searching until they’d found them all. It could take generations, but they had the time.

They were Cyborgs and they lived ………. Very long lives.

***

Kim knew when the jig was up, and it was time to go.

She'd spent her life looking over her shoulder. She loved her job. Engineer supremo and a gift for machinery and how it ticks. Thanks to her mother.

She didn't always understand it, but she knew instinctively what to do to get that bit more out of it or change it completely with something new and creative. She could see the connectivity in her mind and it worked! She had learned to keep her plans close.

In a ruthless Universe where females were often commodities, you had to be careful. Keep your nose clean and under the radar. She knew better than to draw attention and no man got in her way. Design and sell on. Make enough to get the hell out of Dodge fast if she had too and it had kept her alive.

Only this time, they'd taken on cargo they shouldn't have, and all hell had broken loose. Her ship coming under fire from an unknown enemy it couldn't fight off. Flying by the seat of her pants, unknown marauders in hot pursuit. She comes face to face with the cargo's owner and found there was no hiding from that.

All her plans had been for nothing. Cyborgs……. They hunted, and he wanted her…

    Hot cyborgs in space!

The following ratings are out of 5:
    Romance: 💙🖤💜💖
    Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
    Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘
    World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍🌎
    Character development: 🤨😟😳😍

The heroine: Kim - she is the mechanic of a two-person cargo ship in space. She is very good at her job; in fact, she has a gift for making things work. An ability that tells her what to do in certain situations, or how to make an engine function better than it should. She even designs her own engines, and her latest design should be the fastest out there, if she ever gets enough credits to build it.

The Hero: Rage - he is a cyborg and the captain of his spaceship and leader of his people. 40 years ago, there was a war for cyborg independence. They were sentient beings and believed they should be free. He and his crew are tracking down cyborgs that got lost after the war ended. They ended up being scrapped for parts, illegally sold or used as slave labor.

The Story: On a mission to track down a shipment, Rage and his crew try to disable and board a ship that may have cargo they are looking for, when all the sudden the ships engine’s turn on and it disappears. They know they had incapacitated the engines, so it shouldn’t have been possible, so they want to track down that ship and the engineer that got the ship working so quickly and so well.

The story was good, and I loved that Kim was this powerful heroine who was great at her job and here skills were in demand. However, I didn’t like the fact that Kim went from fiercely independent to all lovey dovey wife to Rage in a matter of minutes. Aside from that fact though, I liked the storyline about someone being after her for her skills and the intimate scenes were quite hot! Though there were a lot of steamy scenes in this book. There was plenty of action as well.

There were quite a few spelling and grammatical errors in this book, it certainly could stand to be edited and proofread a bit more, but those kinds of things don’t bother me too much. It is weird, since my bachelors degree was in English. But I read fast and can easily overlook the odd spelling or grammar issue.

I wanted to give 4 stars, but I just couldn't...

Too many editing and spelling errors. Looks like it was badly translated from another language.

The story itself did hold my interest. Even though I had a few issues: .

I will for sure continue with hopes of seeing some improvements.

Making a living as an interplanetary cargo transportation service isn't all it's cracked up to be, especially when your cargo isn't always legit, but the pay is worth the risk.

Attacked and disabled by apparent space pirates, Kim's skill as chief (and only) engineer is put to the test to find a way to fire up the engines and escape certain capture. Luckily Kim is the best at what she does and is able to devise a quick fix and escape though the engines need a major overhaul repair which can only be done if the ship is docked for an extended period of time. Something the vessel's pilot Mack isn't happy about but it is what it is.

Rage isn't sure how their intended target was able to escape certain capture but he intends to find out, especially since their cargo legally belongs to him and the Cyborg Empire. Finally tracking the vessel and crew, Rage discovers the ship's engineer has a unique knack for modifying existing machinery in ways that have never been done before. Rage's new mission is to not only reacquire the cargo that belongs to him but find out what other magic the engineer knows that he and his kind can use.

New to me author and series that premises cyborgs in a futuristic world looking to survive and find a home to claim. Similar to
Cynthia Sax's 'Cyborg Sizzle' this series includes strong dominating males who cross the paths of stronger Earth females who don't back down. Perfect formula for a battle of the sexes and you can only guess who wins. That's right: readers.

I really appreciated the world building and characters but with reservations. In a perfect world I wanted more depth, development of characters and their back stories, and more graphic adult content scenes which I didn't get. The future is open though as this is a first in series book. I'm hoping the world building and series plot will be better defined in future installments.

The main characters were a case of pro/con for me. The star of the story was definitely Kim and I can see her as the anchor of the series as a whole. She's got that certain 'something' that makes her a force to be reckoned with. Additionally, she's blood thirsty and knows what to do with a spoon (inside joke for those who read this book). Rage's character wasn't as stellar. On the surface he was a Cyborg soldier warrior. That lifestyle carries over now that he's no longer fighting in a war for his owners. But. It didn't, sometimes. That's the problem. Sometimes he had one personality while other times he displayed a different personality. In my reading I want a character who stays true to himself and remains consistent. Yes, I'm on board with the need for a soft side with one's mate/partner/wife but balance that out with hard line protector/leader/Cyborg consistently once the baseline is established. After all, his name is Rage. I therefore expect he got that name for a reason......

As for those who want/need to know if a book contains adult content romance. Yes, this story does include graphic erotic scenes between the main characters .... but .... the individual scenes didn't include more than opportunities for the main characters to have sex vs providing a sensual oasis for the reader to validate the all consuming love between two individuals in an erotic mind blowing scene that will blow your socks off.

The cast of secondary characters make this a long sustaining series possible. That's good news as I generally like what I've read so far. Individual readers will have their favorite Cyborg character though for me I'm looking forward to C and Pain.

Now to address the white elephant in the room issue. I've basically been favorable in my review but given this book a two star rating. The reason for this will become very apparent to anyone who begins to read this book. Editing. Syntax. Misspelling. Homophone errors. Poor sentence/paragraph structure. Wrong quote placement. The list goes on. I generally don't fault an author who has minor editing glitches and/or grammar issues. Everyone makes mistakes and in the case of independent/new authors, publishing is a big step. The problem is when the errors are so glaring and so frequent that I, as the reader, have to try to figure out the REAL word that's suppose to be in the sentence I'm reading and readjust myself between characters because the quote marks and paragraphs run together. I can't even fault spell checker as the words used were correct but had homophone errors. I could almost think the author used a translation site to convert to English. Seriously, if the physical editing and grammar of a book are important to you, don't read this book (unless/until the author fixes things) because I guarantee you'll one star it if you don't log it under DNF (did not finish). On the reverse, if you're a reader who can look past the physical editing side of things, I do feel you'll find this story worth the time and effort to read. I will insert that I grabbed this book as an Amazon freebie opportunity so not sure what full list price is normally.

OK. I liked this story and do intend to grab other installments because I'm a fan of futuristic SciFi Cyborg romance stories that feature dominant male/females who spark off each other and combust and this scratched that itch. I have a huge problem with authors who doesn't respect readers by publishing a editing nightmare book but will, this one time, not judge as I do feel the potential for a really good series is there and hope the author fixes things in using a good editor and/or translator service. Whether other readers feel similar is up to each individual and their personal choice to one click buy or not.

    3.5 Stars
The author compares herself to Anna Hackett & Eve Langlais. I would Say Anna Hackett & maybe Laurann Dohner. BUT without the editing!!! That would have been the difference between this being a good book to it being a great book. I read the blurb on the author about POV and the genius of literacy. I also can tell this wasn't written in American English. OK that still doesn't let you slide on poor editing and the misuse of of words and the grammatical errors. Again this all could be fixed with a good editor.

    Having said that.............

I love Sci-fi erotic romances and this book was good. The story was good and kept me interested. The characters were extremely likable, super sexy, sometimes funny and badass to the bone! Most importantly I want to read the next in the series. I would recommend this book to my fellow scifi lovers. Off to read book 2!

Should have been a solid 5-stars

First, this book definitely needs an editor. I read a note from book 2 saying the author isn't a literary genius, but geez... a Google Doc would help with a lot of these mistakes, or post it on Booksprout and have the readers help with the editing.

If you can get past the editing (which is really bad in the first chapter, but gets better as you go, or maybe you just get used to the way she writes), it's actually a pretty great story. It covers a lot of ground and is fairly well developed. The down side is that the couple will go at it for extended periods of time with no story in between. Despite this, the author doesn't shy away from heavy scenes dealing with what the bad guys did.

I was shocked with the ending, only in that it stopped right in the middle of a scene and I thought it was a cliffhanger that I missed, but no, it seemed to just stop at that point.

The birth of a new Empire…

Although this book is in desperate need of some good proofreading it is now one of my new favorites and will go on my reread shelf.

Fast-paced, full of action, with wonderful characters and a plot to that really moves from start to finish, this book is the type that you hope never ends, but can’t put down till you finish.

Kim isn’t quite 100% human and as a female in space she has to be really really careful. It’s a good thing she spends most of her time in the engine room, hidden away on her uncle Mack’s spaceship. Engines really talk to her, and she can make them sing. It’s just such a skill that draws the attention of Rage.

The handsome cyborg leader Rage wants Kim for her skills, but once he meets her, he begins to lust after more than her abilities with a wrench. Kim’s smart mouth, pluck, concern for those around her, whether they be cyborg or not, and refusal to be dominated, make her intriguing in a way Rage has never known before. Determined to woo her, he showers her with gifts of real coffee, good food, and lots of flirty teasing. Then, once he’s got her in his bed he ups the ante by treating her his equal in every way. “She’s my wife, not my property!’ Sigh! Yay for cyborgs.

I wish I could give this book more stars. Awesome book and I will be reading more books in the series. Couldn't put this book down. Rage thinks the ship he is chasing has something he wants on board. Kim is the engineer on the ship they are chasing. Kim fixes the engine and a burst of speed send her and Mack, the captain, way far ahead and they loose Rage. This was a non-stop wild ride. Loved it. This is a new author for me but I want to check out some of her other books.
